Yup.. Unless there is another weapon that I can use that is burstfire.

The only thing is the DMR but its not burst-fire, its semi-auto. But why is it a big deal if there isn't a burst-fire weapon in Reach? One weapon doesn't make the game good. The campaign, forge, fun multiplayer are all good reasons to get the game. Idk, I honestly don't see the big deal about one weapon taken out.

Campaign is nice. Forge... poot.
I like stories and in depth stories at that. The Campaign should be nice. Forge can go suck one. I never do forge. I don't like playing on player edits. I just like playing legit games. I play for my rank.

I still prefer the BR over the DMR. Feels better and shoots nicer IMO.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend you. I'm just saying that the BR is an accurate weapon and in the hands of a good player, it can beat most weapons.
I don't like the DMR cause it's a single fire weapon. 3 round bursts FTW!!!

I"m actually kind of glad the BR isn't in the game, I mean I can 4 shot somewhat well, but since its out that means Reach will be different from halo 3(which is a good thing) since the BR won't be dominating everything, well almost everything.

the BR is, without a doubt, the better weapon. But it's removal makes sense for two main reasons:
1. It wouldn't fit the time line (tho how they still include the spartan laser, i'm not sure)
2. it makes room for other weapons. A single, good weapon makes the game so much more boring. Now in MLG (hopefully, if people can get over BR-fandom) you'll see more weapons.

If I'm not mistaken, the BR would've been around since Harvest was taken back, since it's used by Johnson and his buddies in Contact Harvest (prototype version, but nonetheless). Maybe the Spartan Laser is gonna' be a prototype in the game also?
DMR all the way for me. Sounds a lot more powerful, and I think it kills slightly faster than the BR (much less time between shots despite the extra shot you need to make). I'll miss dragging the crosshair over a shieldless enemy to increase the chance of a headshot, though.

I noticed that somethings in Halo: Reach don't make sense with the overall Halo series.
For example:
Pretty sure you'll be able to hijack enemy vehicles. (Reach takes place before CE, yet you could highjack starting in Halo 2/3/ODST)

Truth; At the time of Harvest, the weapon we know as the BR was in a prototype version, used by Johnson's team.
I think the DMR is an 'ARMY' weapon, where as the 'MARINES' have used the AR/BR (Army uses AR too).
Why doesn't the BR exist in Halo:CE?
Cause they didn't make the game with the BR in mind at that time. Jeebus. :-P

What exactly does DMR stand for anyway? The R obviously stands for rifle but the dm part I have no idea.

Correct, the DMR is an UNSC Army exclusive (said so on Reach's website). The AR is labeled differently there though, it's not the MA5C any more.

What's the Reach bundle? Cuz all I want is a Xbox Pro and Reach. If it's going to be like an Elite I could care less for all that.

In case anybody doesn't know this, Halo Waypoint has a new update for people to download. The new Waypoint update increased the milestone ranks. Instead of 50, it's now 60. They also revealed the Waypoint armors and how to get them.
