And Jack, you theory on the whole in general, is Invalid.
Jack's tag is Summoned Fist, not Invalid.

technical consistency is an important part of this game. Especially when you're at a higher level. At any point, one hit can randomly mean massive damage/a stock/a match/etc. If someone makes technical errors and the opponent capitalizes, then that's your fault, not the strategy itself.
I was just telling my mother a similar story.

EDIT:

Noooooo somebody already made a shined blind joke :(

okay first of all

So anyone else hear about Zelgadis trying to steal 6K from the Genesis 2 pot? It's somewhere in MD.
DETAILS PLEASE

He hits like 1 out of 11 up-air smash DIs, he gets 3-0'd by Young Link (I know he won game 1 kinda, but come on), Armada sits directly above him all the time and it never occurs to him to just up-air... only run away and spam b-air more. Armada lives til like 130-140 every stock because he can't edgeguard. I know thinks can work sometimes, like recovery tricks... but they shouldn't work *every time*

It's so dumb that a player with terrible DI, edgeguarding, combos and no ability to read or adapt places this high. I was on skype with Vince when he was facing Armada and he was like "man I was hoping Hungrybox would come up with a new strategy but he's just running away and camping more, what is this ****" It's not like it's impossible to beat him or Puff in general, but if he mained any other character at that skill level he'd be done in 1st or 2nd round of pools. **** Jigglypuff
lol, i don't really disagree with you but i still say you're underrating him. like yeah, he could be better at those things, but he's not terrible at them. and no i don't think that's jigglypuff bias. i used to hate his bairing and stuff 'cause i thought they made puff look bad, but eventually i just couldn't deny it anymore, he's actually really good. too bad i sound non-credible since i haven't given you a concrete explanation for that, but there definitely is one. if you care i can go find a video and analyze it.

in matchups he doesn't know he says he actually does just bair, and i haven't seen his genesis 2 set, so if he really was just doing that then i can't defend it.

as for jiggs young link, i kinda wanna try that with someone now.

Yeah I wanna hear about Zelgadis too.

And just saying, people are starting to slowly realize more and more of HungryBox's flaws... ive only been saying that he wasnt #1 material for like... since he started climbing to the top.

And on another note, I dont know a single player who has a campy style that REALLY works out for them. Patient, yes, aggro, yes(in moderation). But campy player, especially spacies, god no

But how do you live to 130+ as Young Link every stock? ****, even as Yoshi the Links are a joke to edge guard. Even if I thought Puff didn't win the match up, you could still easily point that gigantic flaw in his game --- he can't edge-guard anything that isn't Falco. As a reason for why he's bad, you just can't let people recover for free and place top 5, watch like David vs. anyone, recovery doesn't exist.

Like Axe's main gets ****ed by all the high tiers but he makes up for that with lots of solid play; good combo DI and SDI on up-airs, not missing edge-guards and gimps, etc. (I definately think Puff beats Y.Link though, obviously Y.Link will win when he never gets edgeguarded and can get away with just jumping over Puff since the player can't up-air though) Jigglypuff is the only character where you can conceivably make THIS many simple and obvious mistakes and still succeed.

i dunno what to tell you, man. i mostly agree but he's good anyway. also i never said he was top 5, and <top 5 is nowhere near bad.

tbh i'm already tired of this argument, maybe 'cause i've already thought about it a lot. and because arguing in favour of jiggs is always such an uphill battle.

Well I mean, he places in top 5 and most people just say "no johns, puff isn't that good/you can win/just go fox, hurr hurr he's top 5" I'm not saying you said, it just seems to be a general consensus

So I've been told that a few of you have been callously slandering both me and my characters behind my back (again). This is somewhat distressing to me, because I consider my three characters fairly decent (seeing how I beat everyone in the immediate scene with any of them pretty much whenever I please, with the obvious four exceptions). I am therefore offering money matches to anyone in the immediate scene (read: not Ottawa or Kingston) against my Fox or Sheik (especially my Sheik!). I don't really feel confident in my Peach because I don't use her as much, but I might take one with her if you agree to play one of my other two first for an equal or greater amount.

If you are not willing to do so, then please stop talking down about my characters behind my back. It is difficult for me to hear that you guys consider yourselves close to my level or other nonsense despite the fact that I **** pretty much all of you with my secondary (often plural!) whenever I please.

Armada's used to this because like 80% of Europe, especially Denmark and Sweden, plays Falco. And they all play campy laser styles.
Sorry to barge in on this thread on an unrelated note, but I'm wondering where the hell you got this from lol

While I can't directly speak on Sweden's behalf, I haven't seen *that* many Falcos over there, but it's probably one of the more popular mains. As for Denmark, we have 2 Falcos in the top 10, and we have maybe 3 Falco players total (though we're only like 20 players at most, so go figure). Only one of them is really known for his "campy" style, and even then that's hardly bad.

From the tourneys I've been to in Europe, which have been in Sweden, Germany and the UK, I'd say there are far more Sheiks out there.

Kurtis just because you're horrible vs Peach and suck doesn't mean I'll do better with Peach vs good people.

It just means you're a noob and get down smashed like 11 times per game.

Yeah, I meant with butter and stuff. Otherwise doesn't it just taste like styrofoam?

I thought you've been living on like soy extract and beet juice or something for the last year tbh ;)

Disagree. But more power to him for getting there.

Kage, I understand your frustrations, but I notice Toronto wasn't the only EC Canadian region with a good chunk of their good players absent. I hope you're bothering them as much as you are us. I also think they live closer to you anyway.
Not really because I know they are inactive now, they just play for fun.. but I'll bother Vwins though. =P

I don't know man what you see in the videos, I think it's a lot easier said than done with all the theories that's been said here. I'd love to see another Jiggs try anything vs Armada's YL.. I don't think anyone can do it. There is A LOT of subtle movements which makes a difference.
