Umm... wow... so

1. Dekar, not everyone in 5s gets a Banshees. Just the mana-using tanks and carries that don't need heavy itemization to do their damage... but yes it is a lot. However, you don't always have a chance to poke before an important team fight. For instance, when you bait a fight at dragon or baron, you aren't always going to have a chance to poke down all the shields on the other team before initiation happens. Pro-tip though: If you are using TF, activating your ult before an obvious team fight will drop every BV on the enemy team before you ever start.

2. Jaz, how is it "cliché" to talk about underrated champions. Are you suggesting that there aren't underrated champions? That its cliché to talk about underrated champions? That suggesting you are good with underrated champions is cliché? I have no idea what the purpose of that statement was other than an attempt to make yourself look superior to DUB and jpak.

3. Agree @Trundle being underrated. The main problem, I think, is that he's still considered outclassed in the EXACT same role as Olaf. You are both AD/Off-Tank junglers that are strong gankers. But, Olaf shreds harder offensively and has natural lifesteal that can make him a monster once he gets fed. Trundle's strength is that he has better CC and a wither-like ability to shut down a carry instead, so he's a better pick on a team that is CC weak.

4. I took so many faces off with Ashe today it wasn't even funny. A 20-min victory (13 kills) followed by a well-fought win (18 kills) against what was probably a better-coordinated team. Fortunately we had more bulk and our Zilean ulted me in two major team fights so they couldn't get a clean victory at all. But then my arrow was just uncanny good late game and let us win two straight to end it.

Really? That's pretty cool.

Does he get an assist if Destiny pops Banshee's? For some reason I don't think it does but that would be nifty.

I have never checked if he gets an assist for that, although that would be pretty awesome.

It is pretty funny to get BV against TF though, because Destiny won't reveal you if the shield is up and if he TPs to someone he THINKS is alone then you can rock him. I did this yesterday in my games with Ashe. He thought he had caught our Malphite alone and at low health in lane without any tower support... but I had BV up and was in the jungle just to the side. So when I saw he was gating, I ran towards Malphite and when TF's little circle of cards appeared, I fired my ult and stunned him and then Malph and I finished him off before he could even get his gold card off. Then he said in all-chat "I didn't see the Ashe, WTF?!?!?!"

what is this I don't even...

I don't understand this post Mogwai. Are you privy to some information about Riot's announcement for 2011? Is it completely off my prediction of an MMO? Please share. If its coming soon and you don't work for them, no need to keep it secret.

So I figured out how to get custom skins on the mac client, (<3 white tiger princess nidalee with these snow leopard particle animations)(<-embedded links) and I'm making an effort to learn how to make my own skins, so I'm trying to decide if I should edit the visuals to my advantage. Technically it's not cheating because Riot lets you do this sort of thing, but it feels pretty dirty thinking about how some of this stuff can alter gameplay so easily.

Things I've thought about:
-Making it really obvious to tell Shaco's clone from the real thing- as if it wasn't obvious enough as is.
-Add a path to Ashe and Ezreal's globals so I know exactly when it's coming and where it'll end up. Basically, I'd just increase the length of them with a line out in front.
-Make some objects and skills a lot more obvious so they stand out more. (Nid's traps, Lux' skill shots, the length of Ashe's volley, adjust Blitz' arm so I know exactly what the hitbox looks like, the small spikes on Cho's rupture before it hits you, perhaps make all the champions with skill shots glow bright red RIGHT as they fire them to increase the chance I'll react to them. That sort of thing, to make them a lot more visually noticeable. Or even take away from some of the animations to make them less stressful on my computer. ANIVIA YOU LAGSTICK.

Thoughts?

And awesome thread M3D. You made a LoL MMO seem like a real possibility. :D

So you want to cheat? I'll make sure I keep this quote so I can report you for cheating should I ever care enough.

True, but stuff like making ashe/ez's ults have a path in front of them... that's not "skinning" for creative reasons, that's straight-up map hax. :p

I'm sure riot would not approve. It's why most other multiplayer games have pure servers where you can't use skins at all. If people start to abuse skinning like that, they'll take the ability away. At least in everything except custom games.

oh well, they cant prevent it unless they make more of the game server side
EDIT: i seem to remember them saying something like changing models like this will not work at least for champions like for instance cho'gath can't be seen through fog of war by making his model larger then the actual area the server recognizes his character to be on

Why does Dekar need to get reported for suggesting that a lot of Smashers should sign up for the adopt-a-n00b program? Go into the swf chat and check the ELO of all the players in the room at any given time. Most of them are sub-1200 and could use the help.

Also, why does Dan need to get reported for playing around with the skins? Riot allows skinning if not outright promotes it. If he uses it to his advantage, it might not be the most honest way to play the game, but he's probably not breaking any official rules. Besides, he's just speculating at the moment. Not actually doing something you might consider wrong.

You should probably just chill out Jaz. These guys don't play with you anyways so you've got no reason to get upset.

@jazbad- you've gotta fix your eyes buddy I edited no one's post :) but nt, if only false reports were a perma-ban offense then this board could be like TL!

@Dangr- modding games to give yourself an advantage that other players can be viewed as ingenuity in the eyes of those who aren't true competitors, but in the eyes of true competitors it's just a cheap way to get results, kind of like steroids or paying off other players.

I was saying in the Peach boards that they should make a hack where Peach throws teemos instead of turnips.

This is amazing, yes?

:teemo:

it honestly still blows my mind a little that most of the community is worse than a 1300 player.
yea thats exactly how i feel. if i am better than 2/3 of the community then the community is ****ing awful because i have things i claerly need to work on

The community is awful. Go play some smurf games and you'll realize just how bad everyone is. Every time I log onto my smurf I'm astounded at the stupidity around me. I've had players chase me back through the jungle and in between my outer and middle towers, just stand in the middle of Nunu ults, try to fight me 1v1 with a four or five level difference, etc. Even most of the people in the 12-1300 range don't know how to creep or control whether their lane is pushing or pulling. How many games are we in with a random player that we have to ask them REPEATEDLY not to auto-attack? People are just bad.

Someone on the forums did the math and showed that if you can break 1400, you are better than 90% of the community and at 1600 its like 98% or higher. So yeah, you are OK in the 12-1300 range and its hard to climb above that unless you are not just legitimately good but also very consistent.
