Im just saying, Solo q is like playing russian roulette with a gun that has 4 bullets in it (out of six)

also the bullets are on fire. some how.

I mostly quit League. I haven't played a game in maybe 8 or 9 days. It feels good. I'm playing games that don't punish me 49% of the time. Little Big Planet doesn't punish me EVER, in fact. Even when I screw up and die, I'm like "AWWWW" with a huge grin on my face.

I'm not sure I'm coming back to league at all. We'll see.

what should i buy for my tank runes. I have the red and purple ones left...
Marks are the worst runes in the game. Pretty much anything can go here. Quints, there are some that are better than all the rest like MS, and GP/10, but really you can do anything with these.

G/10 and MVS aren't anywhere "universal" best quints for characters. Armor or Magic pen, Flat AP, Flat AD, Flat Armor, etc are commonly used.

MVS are universal in that just about any character can appreciate permanently being faster. How much of an impact or value that actually IS to your character varies, but they avoid being "completely bad" like using flat AD on casters or Magic pen on Ashe or something similar. GP with MVS quints isn't as good as GP with ArPen Quints, but it's still better than GP with Magic Pen Quints lol.

G/10 is very situational. The role who would most consider getting them is support. Everyone else is probably better off with different quints. The reason for that is that the effects of other Quints are noticeable immediately. G/10 takes time to churn out gold, and they are effectively not worth anything at very low levels. The early game impact of, say having 10 more armor pen or extra MVS or armor or whatever stat, can be very useful for laning and hard to put a definitive "gold" value on if it contributes to easier laning/winning a lane/accomplishing objectives easier.


Also, some stats are hard to itemize for even if the G/10 churns out more gold value over time. If I want armor pen without getting Brutalizer or SoTD, what do I do? Get a lategame item like Last Whisper even if I only want a tiny bit more without gimping my build?

where are you getting that number? I've always heard 13/10 is the base gold rate.
I think it's 10/7.5 which is roughly 13.


that could be where he got 7/10 from. he confused 10/7 for 7/10





actually..... I looked it up. It's 7 gold PER FIVE seconds. so it's 14 gold every 10 seconds

So basically since I usually have less than 20 farm with janna by the end of a game is that worth it?
assists grant gold, but, yeah, probably. Not positive you'll need the HoG AND the philo stone, but that's fine too.

aight...just making sure...what the hell am i supposed to be doing with janna anyway
(i figured out i can't use her in solo queue because my team doesnt seem to understand I'm a support)

but a lot of times the carry I lane with will die or something and then not comeback to lane leaving me to a 2v1....Like...I'm janna...I should not be 2v1ing

also I don't really know what to build outside of CDR boots + 2 (and now 3?) Gold items so I changed my Reds to Armor Pen and started building SotO after my second Gold/5 item (YES I KNOW THAT IS A BAD IDEA BUT ITS SO FREAKING HILARIOUS TO SEE A JANNA PUTTIN IN LEET DEEPS AFTER YOU CAST A SHIELD ON YOURSELF)

I was building Rageblade at the end of all that too?

so in short
I need reds...and a build after Gold/5 -> aegis

i usually just get gold per 5 get a catlyst finish off rod whenever i can and have merc treads and aegis

then everything else is just Wards and wards and alot more Wardssssssssssss

you do need SOME ap to get a bigger shield

in general, janna is all about disruption and she doesn't really need any items at all to do her job so she normally just rushes gold items so she can let her carry farm all day and then she becomes the designated oracles sweeper and ward placer.

Reds can be some form of mitigation (Armor or MRes), some form of AP (flat or scaling) for stronger heals/shield later in the game or they can be ArPen or MPen for extra damage in lane.

upgrading boots is something you do post-gold/10 stack. need that income asap.

afterwards, Janna can do w/e, but it should probably be making you tankier or helping you teammates in one way or another. Aegis, Reverie, Soul Shroud are all good options. You can also grab Kage's and then save up for Deathcap (obviously better on someone like Soraka than on Janna, but Janna still benefits quite a bit from AP). buy oracles before any of these though and give your team map control via ward sweeping.

HOWEVER

I'm telling you how to play support in the context of my 2K elo games and from the fact that you even imagined SotO, I'm guessing that you don't have the right mindset to play this way because it's really reliant on:
1. you being Ok with just chillin' in the back like a boss. (support positioning is technically much easier than carry positioning, but if you have a very active mindset where you want to constantly be doing things, you'll get ****ing destroyed)
2. being able to rely on your teammates to do things. supports don't do anything but makes their teammates better. it's really boring IMO and completely unfulfilling if you are playing with players you don't trust to play reasonably well.

Well I know how to support as far as positioning goes but in Most Games where I feel like Janna would be a good support for someone (like I have some really Good AD champs so I can throw that Steroid on them) I always get the ****tiest players...which then put me in the Mindset of me having to be active...and lets face it...janna just does not have the tools to be out here 1v1ing anything...lol

it got to the point where I just started using orianna more and "Supporting" the tank by throwing the ball on him while he runs into a full team as initiation...that why I'm still keeping people alive but at the same time Putting in work

I WILL LEARN JANNA THOUGH because she is by far my favorite support.

Make the laning phase shorter if you are Janna. Build a team that can force fights. Janna isn't that great in lane, if the enemy team has a healer then they can go really aggressive on you since you can't heal. Obviously this is hard to do in solo queue... If you want to see an example watch CLG vs TSM Gamescom qualifier finals.

Going arpen reds isn't that uncommon, I think Liquid112 and Xpecial do it. I've even seen Liquid start doran's blade. In my opinion, it doesn't work well.

warding yes, roaming is ok under the condition that your bot lane doesn't get denied while you're gone.

mobility boots work alright, thought they have been nerfed on her because damage to shields now slows you down.

I think it's E > W > Q. Q scales the worst with levels, just -1 CD really since the damage on all of Janna's **** is pretty much inconsequential. W gives you -1 CD (on a lower CD too, so it's proportionally a more meaningful for it to lose 1 second from the CD than it is for Q to lose 1 second from the CD) + the slow % increases (Q's knockup is unchanged by leveling it). I think E is still typically first priority though for giving your ranged carry a free BF Sword + some extra HP to play with.

Janna is best on kiting teams. She wants a ranged carry with good AD scaling who can kite efficiently (Ashe #1, after that she's still good with Cait, Vayne, Corki, MF, most ranged carries :p). You don't wanna be on a team that's all-in on AoE ults because in those cases you don't do anything (Sona's a much better pick there) and if you have to blow your ult you usually screw your team. Janna's all about keeping melee off of carries and drawing out the fight, so she's actually a bad fit in the current meta (since it's mostly just 2 AP carries, 1 AD carry, 1 support and 1 jungle tank) and was much better when there were a lot of tanky DPS *******s diving your team for Ashe. that's my take anyway.

ok one my quint im thinking 1 Def/lvl and 1 Mdef/lvl and the last one will be armor pen

On my red ones im thinking of going straight armor pen.

hmmm....never thought about that (the scaling)

aight so I might modify that a bit and max that W second...and now that you explained the metagame I am prolly gonna stick to orianna for a bit until the MetaGame changes and janna is the **** again (atleast in solo queue I can janna with premades all day)
