So yea, I'm convinced that Ryze is one of the best answers to climbing up ELO right now. He's a great damage soak, a great damage dealer, packs his own cc, and I just can't see any downsides to him right now aside from being less bursty than other casters, but he's still pretty bursty when he wants to be. He's definitely my favorite champ right now; Corki dishes out the dps, but Ryze has the whole package.

That's why I always play Ryze with Ghost and Flash.
Sure, relying on summoners is less than ideal but it does make up for what seems like his only weakness.

Ryze is a 1v1 super star, which is quite great in non-arranged play.
But IMO he doesn't do enough in team fights... he's kinda like vlad without uber broken ult. But unlike vlad he'll having heavy building of defences rather than just having a metric crapton of health.

Neither do most other tanks; he, like they, just takes time to focus down, which has been enough lately. Plus as Plum said take Flash/Ghost. I can't say that he'll always be good, but for the level I'm at right now he's been doing great.
I wish the AoE on his ult were larger, it would help his team fight presence so much
Even still, I feel like he contributes quite a bit, especially with his snare up every couple seconds.

So we Q'd up against Atlanta's team last night. He plays a mean Ashe. Don't know how we got matched with him though.

Pro Nocturne tried to counter Px as trundle... Lets just say it didnt work out.
I was nunu and right after we killed the nocturne px and I stole his entire jungle before he got back.

Even though he carries almost all of his games decently hard.Really? The answer is simple: Elementz moved Xin Zhao to Tier 4 and thus Guardsman's main is no longer viable and his ELO changed itself to reflect this. Simple math
I've played with bob a few times coz he's currently around my elo.
He doesn't have the best last hitting with the characters he uses, he relies on his amazing experience in knowing when/how/etc to initiate and what not to pull off great wins. But he uses characters which require snowballing over farming... and he seems to lose to characters such as Ashe or... Gangplank who just farm farm farm and set the pace of the game against him.

Btw: SOMEONE TEACH ME THE WAYS OF NUNU. I'm trying to have a diversified roster of junglers for when I go back to ranked; I know he's really good and I don't want to screw up his role. Tips?

I don't know why he plays midwick sometimes. He does it fine and I'm sure it's part of a team strategy but there is so much better

tips?suggestions? Could have just been the skill level of the teams or I failed with phoenix that game but ganks with Tiger wen't so well.
Also, I don't know if you have seen this ( probably ) but Bob does this route with Udyr occasionally where he does either mini golems --> red buff or red buff alone and b's and buys philosopher stone then goes to blue. know how do it?

^probably should wait until she gets buffed again. She's not too good. I would build her roa then aegis. Idk from there. Just get support items that give auras, soul shroud would work. Or if your going ap death cap then crystal scepter.
