if u mess up you phantasm, phantasm got buffed in barlw (bias sakurai is bias) so you can almost never get punished for it anyway.

i think thats why i quit barlw idk

Hehe it would seem Sleepy has scene through my ruse. Well if you enjoy the game then i would assume you wouldn't mind playing a friend. While playing this friend you could tell them to watch out for such habits and tell them how to punish accordingly. So now when you roll or when you air dodge into the ground your friend is benefiting by learning how to punish these habits.

forward sort of plays the fast botf style but still manages to cover all his options by spacing correctly and using the movement tricks i mentioned.

also for the brawl scrubs, here's a list of things you probably didn't know but should know

use the c-stick to aerial
use the c-stick to automatic DI so you can smash DI with the regular control stick
wiggle out of falling. it's much more important in melee.
when someone is walking up to you to grab you, don't spotdodge immediately or roll away at first sight.
don't recover the same way every time
learn to tech. the timing is right before you reach the stage during your up-b - unless they delay the hit. remember, if you're dashdancedan, you can utlize the frames of hitstun while getting hit to smash DI into the stage and tech ANYTHING
watch combo videos by good players and take careful note of their combos and spacing. don't think "if i copy what he does exactly, it'll work". instead, think of why and what they did and why it would be beneficial for them to have done it.
use your dashdance. it's important.
use your wavedash. it's important.
you can wavedash out of shield.
if you can jump at any given time when there's ground around you, you can wavedash/waveland. off the ledge, as you're landing, whatever.

I realized the other day that I don't want to get better at Brawl, because if I do, then people will play gay to beat me. Albino was telling me how he liked Brawl so much, and then he goes on telling me that Dyno beat him because Dyno camped and farted when Albino tripped. That's not what I want. I'd rather play Melee where people have stopped being gay.

It's fine, I went out and got one.
Traded in my extra brawl disc and a nunchuck, and it paid for itself.

I still like Brawl but I think entering in brackets is pointless unless you're making money.

Doubles is a different story.

Rayku and I are teaming at Waba sometime soon.

BBQ - lots of people still play somewhat gay.
in fact, we have one of the gayest puffs in our state, s0ft.

here's some more stuff
use the cstick to
1) throw - you can throw on the earliest possible frame because you can hold a direction with the cstick before you grab and it'll do it automatically - also good if you're grab attacking since you can stop and not have to worry about pushing the direction before they break out - unless it's reflex or dogy
2) roll - again, you can hold it to buffer your roll at the earliest possible frame.
3) jump out of shield - bufferable and as fast as possible.
4) jumping out of shield to shining with the c-stick is really easy since your finger is around B anyway.
5) JC usmash - if you can jump, you can cancel it into a Usmash. that means out of your shield, out of your shine, out of your dash attack. the easiest way to do it is to tap up on the control stick and almost at the same time tap up on the c-stick.

6) Doing stuff out of your run - you can run and jc usmash, but not all characters have a useful usmash. the best way to do things out of your dashing animation is to tap down. crouching cancels your dashing animation and lets you do stuff like shielding in barlw.
7) pivoting is very useful in melee. idk the mechanics behind it in barlw, but you pivot out of your dashing animation. there are a few tricks to doing it that I'm unaware of (IHaveSpaceBalls pivots into an empty standing animation then does whatever, which I have no idea how to do) so i just spam cstick or try to time jab.

i'll post more stuff when it comes to me.

octix - i think you should try calling up the closest lowe's or home depot. that's where dan got his.
otherwise try a hobby shop.

me personally, mk's in doubles are a little bit easier to beat than in singles due all the crazy shenanigens of doubles

Falco does ok, but Fox or Sheik might be a better option. I say Fox because he can deal with Marth easier using upthrow upair combos and shine spike. Fox also can survive gimps a little easier because of his recovery.

But Falco works perfectly fine. You see it happen all the time.
