Intentional or not, the Japanese translation is painfully similar to what most consider Geno's theme from SMRPG "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms":

The philologist in me wonders what the chances are we can find the Japanese title for the theme and see how the words lines up with the tournament name.

Too me that's the scary part, IF Geno IS gonna be in Smash wouldn't it make sense to hold out this event until AFTER Geno gets in rather then now?

This feels way more coincidental than anything else, it's not like they've ever correlated tournaments with character reveals before. Yeah the name choice is kinda odd but I really don't think it's actually anything to read into that much.

Not if Geno's Tourney ID is one of the 2 IDs for online tourneys that we're missing.
Also, there were a lot of July/August events that could be related to Geno and yet we didn't give up, so now's not the time.

It’d be funny if this is the ONE the ONE time they correlate with a character reveal. But as everyone else has pointed out its almost certainly coincidental. Be cool tho.

I don't think this relates to the tournament, but the two day mark also happens to be the time in advanced when Nintendo announces things...okay I better stop myself before I get into some crazy theories.
