I think Sora is only short enough when he is in his "attack" stance. Pretty sure Sora would be taller then Mario normally.

Hmm. Fair point. I can't imagine Erdrick crouching like KH 1 Sora. It's tricky to imagine because Erdrick's design is so dang malleable.

It would look really strange for an Adult Erdrick to be any shorter then Marth. Let alone shorter then Mario. Our only short humans are cartoonish characters like the Mario series and Earthbound.

I watched the November 1st direct before class and it sure was awful. I didn't feel like going to class at all

I don't see your point about how the SNES Classic sales can't be used as a point for SMRPG.

Of course it wasn't bought for SMRPG alone, but...that's the same case for every console. The point doesn't hold much ground

I was just piggybacking on what EricTheGamerman was saying about SNES classic sales conflating with SMRPG sales. It's not a claim supporters make a lot here but I've personally seen it made enough times to bring up why it's silly to mention in regards to sales of SMRPG.

Of course you can use it as a point in defense of SMRPG. Like I said, it's a great device to introduce people to the game that have never heard of it or played it before. You can also bring up the point that Nintendo may have recognized its popularity and it could be the reason why it was added in the first place. These are fantastic points to bring up if you want to talk about the relation between SMRPG and the SNES Classic however, the point of sales for the game itself? Not so much. Chances are a lot of people that purchased the console probably still haven't even touched the game.

As I mentioned, it was a point brought up in arguments of sales and how it could effect the future for the SMRPG brand or even Geno's chances to get into Smash a few too many times that I had to jump in because I feel like it may influence some supporters to have the wrong idea about the SNES classics popularity being directly related to SMRPG. It's not the case for that or any game on the console for that matter. Those are just my feelings though.

Which is exactly what I'm saying for how sure we are that it's Erdrick it's reminding me of how Sure we were of the Square rep would be the first shown off and how sure we were that Joker would never get in Smash. Sakurai would probably laugh at us if he saw Smashboards cause we are so sure of who is DLC and who isn't.

I can't say for sure. We really don't have a lot of leads. All we have is Sakurai mentioning Geno several times, him being one of the few mii costumes that didn't get upgraded, and rumors how Nintendo of America has been getting really excited about him. but I wouldn't really call those Rock solid leads. I would say brave but I'm on Brave being banjo. Not Geno.

Do you mean the post that one senior artist made about how Geno was largely talked about at NoA and a popular office topic, all the way back in 2015-16? Or is this something new that I missed?

I can see Brave being Banjo but since I personally believe that Brave will be revealed tomorrow I'm on the Geno train, if Brave is not revealed then yeah it's totally Banjo.

It's more how Ace Attorney is mysteriously missing for being a mostly Nintendo exclusive game. The trilogy is being re-released for the switch. Capcom has been really generous with smash. So why is Ace Attorney nonexistent?

Why not just enjoy the direct and look to be surprised by any reveal?

You could also just set yourself to expect no character reveal, as a basis to enjoy the general info. (if you need to clear your mind)

Cause if it's Erdrick; It's not going to be a pleasant surprise. I'd rather be let down easy by Polar, a Geno fan, over Nintendo who doesn't give a **** about my feelings.

It could be a shorter Erdrick design. The artist has no qualms drawing Erdrick shorter than his tallest form.

Erdrick can definitely fit a shorter height stat, and I doubt the stats we saw for Brave were his final stats to begin with.

I gut feeling tells me we're not getting Erdrick because it feels too perfect. It's like the Grinch leak all over again and I hate it.

While I do think that Erdrick leak is nicely made, remember that this is fan-made and Sakurai would probably go with his/her normal look and design from Dragon Quest III than their chibi form. If we were to get a character with a "chibi-like" design in Smash, my guess is it'd probably be a Pokémon.
