Ok I predicted a new Alex Kidd game, Giratina in the new Pokémon DLC, Chex Quest HD, a new console Transformers game, Skate 4 and a lot more stuff which all happened this month.

So mark my words:

Geno will get revealed alongside the Arms rep.
Wait... Chex Quest got an HD remake this year? ****in'... CHEX QUEST got a remake... The world is flaming dog**** right now but miracles with video games are happening left and right.

I can’t believe that finally after 2 decades we could be enjoying Geno playable very soon!

Yeah I like how that was my reaction too: "WAIT, CHEX QUEST GOT A REMASTER?!". It's also free IIRC.

Speaking of video game miracles, if I see Konami popping off with some legit announcements of any of the following:
  • a brand new Mystical Ninja (Ganbare Goemon) game, or remake of the first one from the SNES
  • a brand new Adventure Island game (or remake of Super Adventure Island II specifically)
I'ma flip my ish. And going even into more obscure territory, if some madlad indie dev brings back from the depths of the SNES library The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang REMAKE, there could be no greater sign of Heaven's Gates opening (while frighteningly Hell's Gates possibly opening for the real world :().

Other franchise revivals that would really drop some jaws imo would be Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre, and Lufia. Alas, a man can dream.

It is possible they delayed the reveal due to technical difficulties.

Hopefully not for long doh.

Lol guys, I think worked out who the rep is.

image0 (1).jpg

Nate just gave away who it is by saying this statement. Think about it:
If Imran said it was male, you have Spring Man and Ninjara. Do you really think Ninjara would make it "far too easy"? Meanwhile, if he said female, that would be Min Min, Twintelle, or Ribbon Girl. Any of those 3 I could see it being, but I do not think solo Ninjara would happen.
Alternatively, Imran could have said "both/neither", in which case, that would confirm a Hero-style character.

TL;DR: If Nate's to be believed and he's not trolling, he basically just confirmed Solo Spring Man or a Hero-style character (which would also have Spring Man).
PS: This is assuming the character is a spirit. If it's not, that actually makes us go down the dark universe path where a spirit ARMS rep isn't being promoted, but, is that really gonna happen?

What I really find interesting is that the last tweet keeps gender ambiguous, but its wording is singular. Maybe we'll finally have this awful alt costume idea be laid to rest!

As I said over in the Newcomer thread, I'm taking these as a sign we're getting real close to the reveal. Next week seems like the moment of truth.

Ok, so we near to know the true. Let's hope that the StarRoad is working and we are getting our dream a Reality (I now think it will be a Hero with SpringMan, Ribbon Girl, Ninjara and MinMin)

"They/them" would also be a giveaway

One would think that with such tweets popping up, a vigilant Nintendo would proceed to stream/upload the reveal of CP 6 A.S.A.P. It's getting close to risking the pack getting spoiled at this point. Heck, whatever other Smash content that's to be announced could be at risk of being spoiled as well.

On the note of Imran and Geno, very important question
Has Imran said anything about Geno at any point? I know very early on, before Ultimate's release when people speculated Geno would be in the base roster, Imran said "have you guys ever considered that Sakurai just doesn't want Geno" or something to that effect. But has he said anything else hinting like that?

It was in Taiwan which I'm seeing some Taiwanese people are saying they don't officially have the Switch or something?
It may be the Reason, let's that activision was confirmed that they will support the switch since 2017 so it was weird. Now knowing that the Crash in Smash chances are just better

Why are we assumming the team shrunk between Pass 1 and 2? What, do you think Nintendo and Namco looked at 18 million sales, THE BEST SELLING FIGHTING GAME OF ALL TIME, and just said "ok, go make 6 more characters but we're also shrinking the team a bunch". Why?
No it’s more the fact that individual people have different obligations at Namco. So they get shuffled to other projects. And that happens a lot. People within Namco can’t be 100% dedicated to Smash Ultimate for what will be 5 years of development by 2021. They have to get shuffled. It’s just how it happens. They get moved from project to project super often. They look at the DLC and see that the people going to buy it are the most hardcore fans who are going to buy it no matter how long the wait. There’s really no other way to explain why it’s going to take till WELL into 2021 according to their estimations than that the team is now, appropriately, smaller.

On the topic on Bonus characters, I'm leaning to there being only 6 more, but I think if these hypocritical bonus characters are kept low budget, then I think it's extremely possible they could happen. Fighter Passes take a lot of effort with not only characters, but stages and music too to work on. Not to mention 3rd parties having to be negotiated with. Making 2 more of these is probably a huge time and money commitment

So say Nintendo wants Sakurai to support Smash DLC for 2 more years with the same character quota per year. Let's also assume the placeholder slots are intended to all be filled. Which would be easier for Sakurai? 2 additional fighter's passes? Or just 1 additional fighter's pass with some easy to make bonuses on the side?

Of course this is all hypothetical, and there isn't anything officially that suggests we're getting more DLC beyond what is announced

But my main point, is that some easy to make bonuses would probably be an easier way to add more DLC characters then to do a 3rd Fighters Pass

The DLC sold well enough for Nintendo to greenlight a second season of content, when the company is infamous for dropping games online games like rocks no matter how well they do, I don't see them suddenly shrinking the team after deciding to do more DLC. It's not like Tekken 7 or Soul Calibur 6 suddenly took twice as much time to release content in their second DLC seasons. And Smash Ultimate has clearly outsold them DRASTICALLY.

I love that this is basically 100% legitimate, considering that the teaser puzzle all the outlets received from Activision were of that yellow mask in the lower-right of the boxart, with the glass shattering effect shared between both puzzle and boxart.

Look dude, it’s speculation. Why else would it take twice as long to develop the DLC if they didn’t shrink the team? Smash isn’t a Namco game. It’s a Nintendo game. They’re licensing developers from Namco to make this game. Nintendo makes the most money off of all this. Namco makes ALL the money off of Tekken and Soul Calibur. This it is in Namco’s best interest to put Namco franchises first because it makes Namco the most amount of money.

Do I know this for a fact? Hell no but neither does anyone else so all we can do is speculate and I’d like to think that Sakurai and his entire team isn’t just “lazy” or something.

Pokken sold a **** TON too but you don’t see Nintendo and Namco still pushing out content for it all the time.
