And with Byleth and Banjo, we saw that we will get Mii Costume from said franchise. But sure.
I'm sorry but unless you're referring to the Mii list that leaked months ago then there's nothing else suggesting that we'll get some SMRPG Mii costumes, if anything there's more proof of Geno coming back as an actual playable character this time around

I was talking bout Cacamallow on that point. It was recorded around the same time as Byleth... and both Byleth and Banjo proved that you can come with characters not from the said franchise, which is why I¨m doubt Cacamallow as of right now, with how long it has taken. The Ken part makes me even more suspicious. Does this mean in the camp "Geno does not have a shot"? No, I don¨t. I think he has a fair chance of being the next Banjo. I just feel that these "so-called proofs" you are referencing are just met coincidence than anything. Especially with the whole ", he has to be next in line because of Seven Star yadayadayada". Like I said to Enigma a couple of posts ago. We should wait and see, and not wave the victory flag before the bomb has not even land

And you can see what I think of the MCL with my conversation with Polar

It's okay if you don't think it's real but the proof of Geno making it it's not just "He has to be the next character because the name of the game is Legend of the 7 stars so he's definitely fighter #7" that's just goofing around, if you want to check out the proof you can take a look at Fatmanonice's essay that he made a while ago in wich he compiled everything we got so far in Geno's favor. as for Cacomallow the thing that makes it more real than fake is modders themselves coming out stating that it cannot be replicated and so far no one has managed to do something similar or that at least looks decent enough

Actually , couldn't we like , compile all the Mallow hats and Cacodemon hats mods on gamebanana , and compare them to the leak ?

It'll be the perfect way to prove that point.
If it was fake , then I'm sure someone would have made it available by now. Or make something extremely close to it.

I have checked it, and I still don¨t think there is "evidence" other than that Sakurai and Nintendo know the demand (see Sakurais interview about the MII Costume in Smash4). Like Sigran (and I do believe Polar also) have called me. Although I¨m a Geno supporter, I¨m an extremely skeptical person where it takes much for me to believe that something is "evidence".

Cacomallow conversation? How appropriate! Tony Hawk Remasters were confirmed today. Remember those rumors from ages ago? That was originally back in November before the VGAs. The point is that sometimes stuff takes months or even years to pan out so dismissing Cacomallow because "it hasn't happened yet" is the same fatal error I made with Hero around this time last year.

Most of Activision's rumors have been swirling around for many months, including Crash Bandicoot news. I first heard of Tony Hawk and Crash rumors around October as well. I think what throws people off regarding the Cacomallow is that people saw nearly finished Mii Costume pieces. Yet I think people need to consider how long quality testing takes for these kind of things on top of the fact that the faster you can make these kind of things the better. It isn't like the Smash team finished the CupHead Mii Costume a week or few days before the Byleth presentation. These get wrapped up months in advance. Waiting to see if they are legit or not is just the hard part.

I'm going all in on Geno being #77. Like Fatmanonice Fatmanonice said a while back, I'd be very surprised if we all aren't playing Geno before November this year.

Exactly. If Season 2 was greenlit last E3, logically they were deciding stuff for 6 and 7 in July and August so something like a Mii costume leak in November honestly wouldn't be too weird. On another note, I think we lucked out immensely as a fanbase by potentially having our fates tied to Cash Banooca because Tony Hawk being finally announced today drives the hammer down even harder on some big talking points I've been hyping up since January:

-Activision is absolute garbage at keeping secrets.

-Gives credence to the other Crash Bandicoot rumors, those being more remasters and other announcements for 2020.

-Pretty good chance that these announcements were originally going to be at E3.

Even if E3 was canned, this all may support that Geno and Crash really were originally planned as the 2020 E3 reveals.

I'm not even into Crash Bandicoot but Crash has become one of my most wanted recently. Originally the defacto PlayStation mascot that was able to rival Mario and Sonic, then fell into obscurity and was forgotten, only to be brought back as the beloved gaming icon he used to be. His rise, fall, and revival resonates with me a lot, and him getting into Smash would permanently cement himself as an icon of gaming once more.

I'm curious about how the Smash announcements in June are going to work because at least two is about as safe as a bet right now as you can make. Will they just do a Smash presentation? Smash presentation and then an "E3" presentation with just Nintendo stuff? It's pretty safe to say that we'll likely know at least 6 and 7 by mid June but I'm wondering if they'll space it out or just do it all in one go.

So, there was something I just realized that may affect when we're getting the next character presentation and the next character reveal (theory time): Remember how Byleth's presentation came out two weeks before release to avoid possible leaks within Nintendo? While we know the franchise and the reveal didn't leak for ARMS, if a shadowdrop happened, we would know something about who it is beforehand. Byleth almost was revealed before then and the Mii Costumes leaked minutes before, even with these measures. They're possibly doing the same thing for ARMS. They said that the character is going to be announced and released in June, but not that the announcement and the release would be in the same day.

Applying that same logic, they would only be able to shadowdrop a character if he was announced, at least, 2 weeks before. So, I think it's really unlikely that we get only #6 in June and we're kept in the dark again. "Then, why not do a presentation for #7 the same way"? By the time #7 is ready for launch, it will be around the next Direct, which is not happening anytime soon, so instead of a jumbled: #7 Presentation -(1 week)-> Direct -(1 week)-> #7 Release, we get #7 shadowdropped in a Direct, but announced beforehand.

In resume:
- 1st half of June: Presentation for #6 and reveal for #7 (can reveal more characters, but I only expect these two).
- 2nd half of June: Release of #6.
- Next Nintendo Direct: Reveal of #8 and presentation for #7 after the Direct.
I think it's worth noting that June is also the same month that ARMS was released three years ago, specifically the 16th. If they're going to do what they did with Byleth and are planning to announce the character 2 weeks prior to release, then I think it's possible they'll announce who it is on the 2nd, with the release on that anniversary.

As I mentioned before, given how things have been impacted, I still don't think we'll be seeing anything on FP7 until the Fall Direct.

I'm not trying to be passive aggressive, I just thought this would be fun. I made a bingo card for Geno detractors.View attachment 271539

Is that a The Mask reference, my guy?

Funnily enough I'm quite the opposite: I really like Crash and have played the **** out of the N. Sane Trilogy, but in terms of Smash he's kind of ehh for me, as in I'm completely on board with him getting in, but he's not a character I'm desparately hoping gets in and if he didn't I wouldn't be upset at all. It's weird as **** and I think this is the only character I feel this way for.

I have a Question, Do you know which day is Tomorrow?
Don't quote me on this, but I think it may be the 13th of this month.

If we get Geno and Crash in June I think I might just literally poop (in a good way). That would make up for every disappointment I've ever experienced in anything in my whole life.

Sorry for the late response, took a longer-than-expected nap.

hey straight up said that the talk never went serious.. Which is why I doubt we aren¨t even gonna get a costume.
About, Kirkhope. His wording is basically a "maybe but I doubt it", whereas the one that got interviewed literally said "no". It¨s sort of like how when Phill Spencer were asked he was still asked about Banjo if he were okay, and he answered "Yes"... He didn¨t say that Banjo was in, he answered a yes about if he were okay with it. You always have to look at the wording + context.

Could the one being interviewed lied for the sake of NDA... Sure? But I think you see my point
It doesn't really matter that different people answer differently. It can still be NDA-talk.

And with Byleth and Banjo, we saw that we will get Mii Costume from said franchise. But sure.
We also got costumes that had nothing to do with their franchises. We got Sans, we got Cuphead, we got Altair and Rabbids, none of which have a single playable rep from their respective developers/companies.

I disagree. People do leak all the time without being caught/revealed. No matter the argument of the Grinch leak, its almost 1½ year, and said person is not revealed. Just because some have tried, does not mean it cannot be modded. And sorry, but having a "nod" just screams... haha, this is fake but people will believe me because of it." to me.
I'm confused, this was in response to the whole Ken thing and not the duration thing, but alright.
Again though, if it's that simple to mod, how has no one else done it when many of them have been trying extensively?

I mean... it¨s within the Smash bubble he is the most talked about.
Because if a character gets in Smash, it's a huge revival. Also, what other game can a dead, irrelevant, character get into nowadays? You sure as heck didn't see anyone asking for BK in any other game (besides a revival).

Actually , couldn't we like , compile all the Mallow hats and Cacodemon hats mods on gamebanana , and compare them to the leak ?

It'll be the perfect way to prove that point.
If it was fake , then I'm sure someone would have made it available by now. Or make something extremely close to it.
Paraspikey did some of them; they're on The List™ (in my sig). Just find the CacoMallow section and look at the extra bullet point for the link.

I have checked it, and I still don¨t think there is "evidence" other than that Sakurai and Nintendo know the demand (see Sakurais interview about the MII Costume in Smash4).
The fact that he got the costume last game is huge. The fact that he's on the Seven Squares list is even bigger. Remember, that list also has LUMINARY AND ERDRICK ON IT, and we all know what heppened to those two...

Exactly. Time doesn't mean much. It'd mean a lot more if CacoMallow was showing off Geno, not so much for costumes that can be whipped up in a day or so.

I'm curious about how the Smash announcements in June are going to work because at least two is about as safe as a bet right now as you can make. Will they just do a Smash presentation? Smash presentation and then an "E3" presentation with just Nintendo stuff? My guess is a Sakurai video and at the end of the ARMS reveal+gameplay, they'll reveal #7, potentially with some gameplay (like most non-Joker reveals), or maybe not.

Geno (our most wanted) & Crash (mega global mascot) in the same presentation would be f*ing epic. I just hope they announce the Arms reveal and the next one in the same video. Like Hero & Banjo-Kazooie. If they announce 3 in a row, it could be even better. But I would be glad with 2 reveals at least in June.

If we aren’t getting 4 or 8 Arms reps in #76 slot, and only one person will take it, I’m guessing for Min Min. Then #77 Geno. Finally #78 Crash. Here we could have a perfect half of this FP done. After that, I can see Rayman, Heihachi, Lloyd, Dante, Monster Hunter, Waluigi or Master Chief. Though I would love to see another Sonic rep (Tails or Eggman) + another Zelda rep.

But my only real wish is Geno, so let’s keep waiting! And tomorrow Geno will be officially 24° years worldwide, now with his final USA release!

Funny how Tony Hawk of all things is starting to give more credence to leaks that happened all the way back in fall of last year, but that’s how insane Smash speculation is.
Y’know what, screw it, I’m also willing to go all in like some of you guys. I’m willing to set myself up for immesurable disappointment, I think it’s Geno’s time to return once more.

#77 babey!!!!

Fellas, serious question. What would you do if Sakurai came to your house and asked you to make a choice between having Geno be released in Smash in 2 more years or have Geno be the next DLC, but his voice lines whenever he does an attack/move are all from Adam Sandler and his movies. What would you choose?

Some big Nintendo News is happenings this month. This guy is very credible and was correct about a lot of things like how there will be a direct on the 26th.

Pokemon, Smash, Mario Remasters, or, something completely different, your guess is as good as mine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Geoff stating that the showcase tomorrow will be one hour long.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Officially stating that the showcase tomorrow will be one of the biggest events of the show.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jeff and NateDrake on what wont be there, like Batman and Starfield.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last but not least, a verified user on ResetEra implied that it'll be a showcase of next-gen with a bunch of games announced.
This lines up with Jeff's thing too, as "Unreal Engine 5" and a showcase is "Future Tech".

Thats mostly it I believe.

Aside from Smash DLC, I really hope we get more news regarding BotW2 and Metroid Prime 4. Even if they are years away from releasing, just a trailer would be nice.

I hope so too.
Currently, I'm setting expectations low and thinking Pokemon news/direct to show more of the DLC and promote it.
I'm hoping for any Mario news.

So, I guess I'll do a quick recap of all the major lingering Nintendo rumors since the fall since it sounds like we're probably no more than a month away from a major news dump:

-BotW 2 for 2020 or pretty damn close
-3D Mario and 3D Zelda Remasters
-Pikmin 3 and Super Mario 3D Squirrel ports
-New Paper Mario or Paper Mario 64 Remake
-New 2D Metroid or Super Metroid Remaster
-Tomodachi Life/Miitopia sequel or Switch Remaster
-Fire Emblem 6/7 Remake
-New Donkey Kong platformer
-Major SNES Online game dump

And for the super vague ones that you all hate but the surprises will be worth it if true:

-Remake of a dead franchise (possibly two)
-New installment of a dead franchise
-Major early 2010's game getting a Remaster

THANK YOU! I was just thinking earlier today about how quickly Cacomallow tends to be dismissed mainly because "it's been too long!", when really that doesn't matter in the slightest. Of course, companies can publicize their products when they damn well please, but even beyond that, Nintendo has a really ****ing strict policy of when to release their DLC Mii Costumes, essentially only to accompany a new fighter release and nowhere else. Which means no fighter, no Mii Costume drop. And since Cacomallow surfaced, there's only been two instances where either Mallow or Cacodemon could have been released, one of which was only mere days after the fact and assuming both costumes were still in their play testing stages by then, it's no surprise they missed that mark.

"But Mii Costumes can't be made that far in advance!". Well, how CAN we know? Sakurai and the team have admitted to developing more than one fighter at a time, and that must also include stages, spirits, music and yes, Mii Costumes. If anything, it makes MORE sense to have costumes made long prior to release then to hastily develop them in a short span from then.

It really boggles my mind how Cacomallow gets to be tossed aside like it's nothing whereas some far more unsubstantiated text leaks from /v/ get the community's eyes and attention like moths on a light bulb, but eh, I'm just venting at this

So uhhh, I think this is the part where I'm contractually obliged to say the line, so there you go:

-3D Mario and 3D Zelda Remasters
-Pikmin 3 and Super Mario 3D Squirrel ports
-New Paper Mario or Paper Mario 64 Remake
-New 2D Metroid or Super Metroid Remaster
-Tomodachi Life/Miitopia sequel or Switch Remaster
-Fire Emblem 6/7 Remake
-New Donkey Kong platformer
-Major SNES Online game dump

And for the super vague ones that you all hate but the surprises will be worth it if true:

-Remake of a dead franchise (possibly two)
-New installment of a dead franchise
-Major early 2010's game getting a Remaster
I’m curious about the Zelda remaster. Is it just Ocarina? I hope for it’s cousin Majoras Mask as well but I’m wondering if Majoras Mask 3D coming out in 2015 would disqualify it from being rereleased...

CACOMALLOW REAL
I'm just gonna leave this quote from an older post of mine here:
How long has it been since the leak has been posted? If the leak gives no timeframe for reveals then it gets less likely to be true every second since it was posted and doesn’t come to fruition. Leaks are much like fruit or children, sure you can keep them in your pantry for a while, but after enough time, you gotta cut your losses and throw ‘em in the TRASH. Subtract how many days it’s been since the leak was posted from your score.

Sounds like it's either Ocarina of Time or it's a collection of Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword. Honestly makes sense since Zelda's 35th anniversary is next year and it's borderline effortless to sell games on Switch.
