Only thing Sabi ever said that I didn't want to hear was "maybe", "possibly" and any other indicator of not knowing what the hell they were actually talking about, as well as "I can't believe people don't believe me" and other indicators of having an ego large enough to be mistaken for a planet somehow conjoined to Earth if viewed from outside the solar system.

I'll take "Geno's not in the fighter's pass" if it means I can draw some meaningful speculation from the facts that I can be told. That's what I want to hear. I'll even take "Geno's never getting in is written on a handwritten note by Sakurai that my source provided and I've dusted for fingerprints and can confirm was 100% touched by Sakurai". It isn't what I want to hear, but it puts my mind at ease, and perhaps most importantly, isn't an easily backpedaled statement that lets them continue to be smug despite being wrong.

Uh, no. There's much, much more. I'm going to say this once and one time only: there is a close to 30 page exposeé on S*** that highlights all the major scandals that they've been involved with since last August. I made two of the "chapters" public because I was given permission to publicly clear Paragon and Krono. The rest of the report will remain private in the hands of trustworthy people. For example, Venus of the Desert Bloom has a copy of this report per their request. The only reason why it's not public is because several people have requested that S*** be shown mercy and given the opportunity to become a better person. I said it myself, if it was my decision alone, the report would be in the hands of some very important people because I wasn't exaggerating when I said the scandals ran deep and some VERY prominent people in the video game industry were caught up in things. The full report is incredibly damning but, again, people like Paragon and Krono requested mercy so I'm taking their lead and lowering my guns. One thing I will say is the ForsakenM theory yesterday was really great. I do agree with their timeline theory in that "Season 2" was probably proposed as early last December and green lit as late as E3 this year. Given those circumstances, there would have been literally no reason to not have the Geno costume as part of Hero's pass if there weren't additional plans for him. Either he was omitted late and there wasn't time for a replacement or omitted early and they simply didn't see a need for a replacement. Still, both are great scenarios and it does point to Geno being one of the early "Season 2" decisions made.

I don’t think they will because they’d get just 1 big news story out of it than 5 separate ones but it’d really be healthier for the Smash community. It really does seem like a lot of the toxicity and ****flinging at its core is “I want X character in” or “I don’t think X character should get in”. If all the planned characters were revealed I think there’d be way less tension in that regard. Also we’d get a Geno confirmation sooner than later.

That would be amazing if they did that. I'd like to see something like the trailer for Street Fighter 5's third season, where they reveal all of the upcoming DLC characters in one big trailer, though there likely wouldn't be any gameplay details so they can show those off when the characters are closer to release.

Sakurai doesn't seem like the person to reveal all his cards at once. Like it or not, he loves this kind of game of just waiting and surprising. No matter what community ends up getting burned from it the most. He let's the bandaid stick for as long as he can.

It's my biggest fear with Geno's possible deconfirmation. Mii costumes aside, I don't have any reason to believe Geno is anything but a costume until I start seeing more tangible proof about him.

Fun reminder we only got 3 character reveals over the course of an entire year. As much crap as I get whenever I say it I'd take the smash 4 structure over whenever the hell this was any day, they literally got twice as much done with the same amount of time and frankly I hold them responsible for much of the unrest we've seen this year.
