I took a quick google search of what Starling symbolise and thats it. But sure, it became a theory as well I give you that. I certainly hope your are right that he's in.

But just because we prefer it to be about one thing doesn't mean its impossible for it to be about something else (or at all for that matter).

Oh well. If he gets in, I sure as heck will come in and celebrate. But I can't sitt here personally go HE IS IN GUYS with the cards that are currently available. I feel its best to hope for the best but expect the worse. I've learned that the hard way.

man.... MAN... it is only just now dawning upon me that Geno being announced tomorrow could very well be a possibility.

I really REALLY don't wanna get too excited and not be disappointed if nothing happens, but... I'll be cautiously optimistic. And I suggest you all do that same.

I feel like with the current expectation of how mii costumes are meant to work, they probably wouldn't reveal something as conspicuous as a geno costume absence without giving some kind of explanation for that real soon after. Though I could be entirely wrong and they won't address it for a very long time, if ever.

I can imagine tomorrow something like this: a cinematic intro showing Gaz playing with a Geno Doll and Mario/Peach/Bowser dolls with “Lets play Geno” as background music. Then he goes to sleep or leave the house and the night comes. Then the real Geno possessing our Doll with “Geno awakens” sounding, or maybe in a similar way like the puppets in the intro of Smash 64. Then the camera cut and we see a real Mario lost in Forest Maze following Geno’s Route but being hard for him to catch Geno, with arrows falling down from the air. Then Geno stops and we sees his back, and Mario looking with a “who is that guy” face; and then start Forest Maze theme with the Splash Art with “Geno squares in” or “Geno shoots as a Star”. Then a real sequence gameplay following Geno’s moves against Mario (Like the Banjo trailer, cutting from cinema to gameplay scene), and at the end summoning Mallow in his FS against Bowyer who is a Stage Boss in Forest Maze Stage. (I could say Bowser Castle with Exor on the background but it’s more iconic the Maze Stage with Bowyer in there appearing sometimes, and when he isn’t showing off, we can see some arrows falling from the sky. Finally, it can sound the GoodBye Geno song with Mario, Bowser and Peach on the screen, looking to the sky, and Geno being a doll again.

I think it would be smart to show him in EVO rather than in a normal Direct. And also now I think it’s on Sakurai’s hands, and we know that he wants him cause his uniqueness. So, it’s not pure coincidence, the claimed songs, the starling, the lack of Mii costume, the 20 years fan demand, the good relation with Square, etc. It his moment, and maybe if it’s not tomorrow, it will be in this Smash 100%, but later.

While that's true, I posit that Akira and Yuki aren't nearly as highly demanded as knuckles or tails.. or Geno, for that matter. When the mii costume of a heavily requested character goes missing, people start asking questions.

I stated before that maybe, just MAYBE, the Mii costumes we get will represent characters from that companies existing fighters franchise.

And, to a degree, I was right. With Joker we got Persona costumes and Sonic ones. And, just recently, Hero got Dragon Quest costumes. So, it makes sense if some costumes do not come back. However, this could fall apart with Banjo getting a Minecraft costume.

I get what you mean and I can semi agree. But it could all be so small as the rest of the Mii Costumes will be implemented later for sale. Had the Virtua Mii come along with Joker like Tales and Knuckles I would have been 100% on board with your idea.

Based on Sakurai's statements in the past, I feel like Heihachi would be the most likely if Sakurai absolutely "had" to add another fighting game character.

Haven’t posted in nearly a year but had to join in on the excitement. Last time I was this hyped? 11/1. Been dreaming of Geno's return since Brawl. I’ll be watching EVO tomorrow night with much hope BUT if we get nothing I’ll keep going. Fall Direct? Game Awards? Bonus DLC? I’ll never give up HOPE.
