Well.. I was given the ICz boards because we're trying to work with the mods we have instead of staffing a bunch of new ppl. I volunteered for this board because I visit often. (regardless of whether or not i post) Sorry you don't like it, but I'll be around to help with whatever I can. (and i was going to start on the stickies this week.)

It's funny, I used to use Green/White and thought that everyone who didn't use the neutral color also used that. Now I can't think of any except for smasher89.
I used to use green/white because my high school colors were green/white and then when I started going to college I switched to red/white because those are Cornell's colors. True story LOL

We got in green: Smasher89 (still active), Smakis (sometimes), and UberIce (still active I guess?) then we got Hochinminhtrail, Domo... (who are inactive), but when I started, that was all the ICs I knew about... So I thought the same thing
I usually goes Green, except against Falcon where I go red (as in picking Nana as my character, since she is easily the best char in the game!, trying to get the right mindset for the matchup where Í need to realize how/why/when to approach neverapproaching CFs)

We Dthrow> usmash puff basically for no reason. Fthrow>nanawavedash usmash is strictly better, because fthrow gives more damage, it is just as guaranteed, and if you do it right you can get a little charge in.
This is also probably the case with most of the lightweights, because any time that the dthrow doesn't give us enough time to charge, fthrowing is better.
Plus it is a DI mixup from hell.

The two institutions I was at as an undergraduate and the one I'm currently at for graduate school all had gold as one of their colors, so I can't represent any of them well. The only one I would have any interest in repping is Harvey Mudd, but none of the colors resemble gold/black, unfortunately.

hm just gnona take some notes here so im ready for (maybe) combo food and (definitely) cgc, so i can look back at them later..
confident matchups for me...
- falcon, always e-z, just gotta play normal and ill win. gotta be ready for jeff/scar...
- sheik, 'just camp sheik' - chu dat
- jigglypuff, so easy. no one is that good with puff anyway
- marth, sooooo easy! ill get pew this time if i play him. got that mew2king training
- dk, aka mexican... easy mode, ill get at u jaime

- falco... hes gay. just gotta dash attack him or whatever, just get thru lasers and punish. i needa play him more in friendliez
- fox. learned a lot from GSG, gotta see if i can apply it vs norcal foxes. socal foxes are SCARIERRRR
- ganon, i learned how to play this at gsg proud of myself
- samus. if i lose a round ill just go young link and tap
counter pick?
- peach... idk i can beat her with any character but ic's. i should prob go falco or young link just to stay familiar and not have to improvise too much in tournametn

Chok, as a European sorry to say but I never heard about you before going on smashboards (which means at the moment I have no idea of your actual level) but I can't imagine that someone I didn't know about would be good enough to beat SS (was it that "jeff"?) with IC, I really would like to see how you go against Falcon since I got many trouble in this match up...
Good luck against Samus, it took me a while to understand how I should play against a good Samus...

I was messing around with the sh ff desynch, and I found some new variations of it. If you shorthop, fastfall, and dash as soon as you land (same timing as if you were jumping), only Popo will dash, and you can input a move for Nana. I'm not sure if the would ever be worth using over the dd desynch, but it's a way to desynch blizzard out of a jump. You can also tilt instead of dashing, and Nana will charge a smash--for example if you sh, ff, d-tilt on landing, Nana will charge a d-smash.
These don't work out of sh ff auto-cancel b-air; you would think it was the same concept, but for some reason auto-canceling seems to synch them. Any kind of landing desynch works out of non-fastfalled auto-cancel b-air/u-air, though.
Also, jab -> turnaround d-smash is a potential application of the desynch Wobbles found (you hit down on the c-stick and away on the control stick at almost the same time; Popo d-smashes and Nana does a short dash away). It's faster than jab -> d-smash, as fast as jab -> grab, and sets up a desynch, so you're safer if the d-smash whiffs or the jab hits a shield.

when i mess around it happens i mistime wavelands on platforms, making only nana waveland while i airdodge down to the ground. Now I never thought much about this until i realised this could be used to cover quite a lot of options when techchasing on platforms, nana could do x smash and if she misses you are free to cover the other side or follow up if she hits.

man this is annoying, popo keeps turning out as dark blue, same thing happens to nanas footstraps (deep pink, though that isnt a big deal). I would like to put half of the yinyang sign on their backs (white part on popo, black on nana) but it cant be done since the back is mirrored =/
edit: found out it's because ice climbers have a body glow texture, which means they always glow according to the color picked (light blue in this case) which means it can't ever be black. guess i'll have to wait until they find the hex for the body glow.

I think Popo is totally awesome but I don't like the black in Nana's jacket it's too black IMO and her hair/face is too white too, awesome skin though I really like it, nice work man!
Oh and Chok no Fox ain't that hard, I find this match up pretty cool ^^

the black parts were too bright before lol, guess i went overboard but yes the jacket is too dark. Gonna make popos shoes darker and the rest of him black when it becomes possible.
I tried to make black and white ice hammers but they ended up looking like the curse seal from naruto lol, guess they need color since they are so small
