Yeah you can.

And I'm thinking about doing an around-the-world nanapulting where I pult nana one platform higher at a time, then back down the other side, having her lead popo and his lowly iceblock all the way. Its actually surprisingly hard.

Today I was playing vs Peach and on accident I kept desynching out of my shield when she would throw a turnip.

I fooled around with it a little bit and it is not that hard when you anticipate a single hit move or the first hit of a move on your shield, input a roll before it his the other ice climbers shield.

This has led to some interesting situations.

Like Peach Fairs my shield > In put roll > only Nana rolls behind me. I keep shielding and Peach jabs after fair and then grabs me but then Nana dash attacked breaking the grab.

haha wow too good
I just did it where I (Popo) was the one that rolled and Nana stayed shielding.

TOO GOOD, well pretty good and kinda cute.

If you have your back to your opponent and you shield they will hit Nana's shield first more often than they hit Popo's.

I am going to keep playing around with this.

I want to try inputting a wavedash when only one shield has been hit...hmm.

hm... if u were to summarize my playstyle what would it be?

i would call chudat the seasoned pro and inventor of ic's

fly is more patient, strategist with **** grab combos

azn lep is just mad smart

wobbles is full of trixies

but what about the choky chok?

Even though it´s been a while since I saw any matches where you play, it´s "The choknatercombo inventor" XD

You are smart but play recklessly and you are unrefined ( you dont have good chain grabs). You do have good desyncs and are carried by your good instincts and your seeming wild play style goes a long way since it makes you hard to read.

CG in brawl is easier though since you allways control Nana, this is more playing by reaction.

Why wavedash when you can dash in and powershield, soooooo offensive and rewarding XD

Lol that I´ve alot harder time learning to wobble then to CG random characters in brawl, I guess it´s because it´s easier to point out those mistakes earlier in brawl and just restart XD

lol yeah the cg's in brawl are easier than handoff in melee, but it's the same concept so it still helps a lot :D

i gave up on ic's in brawl cuz kakera is too good, id rather play sheik/zelda cuz they are fun and they ****

Yea, I wondered about that. Nana's broken. Lol.

Also, for all you Chu fans, here's some new footage. The quality isn't great, but it's better than nothing.

Chudat vs The Newb 2
Chudat vs Eggm ? WF

Only 10 entered singles. The results were ...

1. Chu
2. g-reg
3. Eggm
Chu got ****ed up over here on West Coast, so now he has the fire back.

Glad to see him stepping it up.

There were some weird hitboxes and trajectories in most of Chu's matches, a lot in this one in particular. Do alex and lucky sdi every hit or something?

I also noticed that at some point Chu b-throws alex and alex, with di away probably, barely goes anywhere. Chu turns around and jabs him without needing to run or wavedash. Could the potentially be a good mix-up with d-throw d-air/f-smash regrab, which force Fox to di down and away?

But even if he teched at that point Chu would have been able to cover all options because he was standing right next to him. Normally when you b-throw a fastfaller there aren't really any reaction-based punishes; follow-ups usually rely either on prediction or on being right next to the ledge. If Fox lands right next to you, you should be able to jab a missed tech and wavedash to cover both tech roll options.

A couple things:

Nana's lightshield does not last forever. It just lasts about 10-15 times longer than Popo's haha.

As for the fox thing, it sounds useful, especially for a handoff setup.

Yeah it does. Watch it in relation to her hammer. If you let popo's shield break long enough, you will see her shield will no longer fully encompass her hammer when at first it did.

Another question that perhaps Fly or someone else can answer. When icewalling someone to keep them on the edge, it seems like there is a "perfect moment" when they can just ledge jump safely. Right as popo iceblocks they can just press the jump button, and the BEST i can do is try to catch them with a nana uair...

What am I forgetting...

It's definitely possible for most, if not all, characters to get around blizzard/ice block walls with ledge jumps. I don't know exactly when such a window occurs, but try to keep track of when your opponent likes to do it. Start looking for the beginning of the ledge jump animation and either bair/nair him off-stage again or try to combo him with uair.

On another note, phantom fsmash is the devil.

Fly, could you list the characters based on how easy it is to keep them on the ledge and WHY in some sort of tier list fashion?

I feel like some characters have guaranteed ways to get around it so I don't try it against many. Like Falco I am weary of double laser from the side, but idk if I should worry...I'm sure you'll know who can get around it.
