I am gonna start incorporating raw synced squalls in more matchups, as well as doing the short hop fast fall desynch to initiate offense. Played with a solid falcon last night and learned a lot, was able to experiment without pressure.

Yeah I've been doing the short hop desynch more often and I'm really liking it a lot, its similar to a spot dodge desynch but isn't telegraphed as much, also you can mix it in with wavesmashes

My recent break-through has been singing to myself while I play.

I've always had the tech skill/general knowledge/reading comprehension, but I'd buckle under pressure too easily and start playing on auto-pilot.

I've found that if I concentrate on the lyrics of a song when that happens, I can keep calm and play logically.

So yay for me.

Just realised something about Wobbles dsmashtrick against Samus, apply the same thing to upsmash and upsmash should be easier to hit with since it will cover both sides.

Hmm thats interesting, I think yeah at first but then I can message some top players of notable characters and see if they wanna discuss stuff too.

Found another intersting thing that I´ll practise and test out in the next tournament I attend to(2 weeks from now), it might be a good way to beat rolls without the need of waiting or prediction in certain situations, something that is IC exclusive and related to a "discovery" i posted earlier^^

I'm trying to think more like that as well, some match ups are ****ty but if you play well enough you can always get around it, that's why I love this game so much.

Also no one has sent me any pms to do the match up analysis over skype yet, so if anyone is interested I would love it. Maybe if no one wants to I can just do it solo and see if people like it.

Hey Smasher89, are you going to Beauty 4 later this week? If so, do you need a teammate? My teammate from Denmark isn't going, and I think 2x ICs in teams could be pretty funny.

Sup IC boards. Did you know that you can get Nana to grab the edge instantly without having Popo to do anything but running and shielding at the end of the stsge? Just run (foxtrot) to the edge with both climbers and then do a small dash back to the center of the stage and shield at the very end of the stage. If done correctely, Nana will fall (slide) over the edge while Popo stands in his shield on stage. Because Nana is in her shield as she falls over the edge, she wil grab it. It's kind of hard to do, but potentially, it could be very useful once you can do it consistently.

I have a regular teammate (Android) and we both are going so no we cant team in the tournament, but that doesnt mean we cant play some teamfriendlies double ICs, and IC dittos too. It might even be a good warmup before singles to play some dittos since execution really does matter alot, or you get dsmashed first^^

i won the tournament in sacramento again vs DP's falco

he is PERSISTENT in his laser camping, and after many tournament sets he has figured out a few of my anti laser tactics. it made for a really interesting set where we were pushed to our technical limits, and it feels like we forced each other to play the matchup a certain way

i want to get better at the neutral game. the one thing that i recognize is that i really made a lot of technical errors, and he also disciplined himself to almost NEVER go in to attack me. really weird change of pace from the usual falco.

at first i used to go for hard reads with pre-emptive uairs because i knew he would try to full jump over me, but he also learned to stay grounded and react to me instead. challenging mindgames in that set!

i'm going to watch zhu and fly vids for some research now

also ic's fsmash is amazing for trades.

Will not have time until after next friday(big test called Tenta), and not sure about how the difference in timezones works.

But analyzing matches and discuss them is interesting, and having a few days before to analyse and maybe do some small personal "writing" on the matches so everyone is prepared could make it even more effective IMO...
