Man Aaron looks beast. I just don't like how it seems they only made him to have a celebrity guest in the game. That, and I just plain don't like Ice Tea or Snoop Dog or whoever the **** is voicing him (they're all the same anyways)

So apparently, a work in progress version of Gears of War 3 has been leaked. It apparently has the full single-player and all the multiplayer options. Of course, it's buggy as hell, but it seems like it's all there. Avoid youtube and other forums if you don't want to be spoiled. There are videos all over youtube as proof. Just a heads up.

Only works on modded 360 consoles.

Think this might be a hoax. Some quick searches on Google and Youtube pulled up absolutely nothing, except people repeating what F8AL said almost word for word, but with no evidence to back it up.

Decided to check the Twitter page of the guy who apparently hacked it, Contra, to which he said it's all lies, he doesn't have a copy of Gears 3, it's just a rumour.

Ironically both links show the same video, it's just some butcher walking on a level and hitting 2 people. You'd think there'd be much more videos than that, especially since all the levels were leaked months ago and they could've easily have ripped them from the beta files.

I'm going to wait for more than 1 vague video before I accept this as confirmed.

Ending has been leaked, don't look at Gears information anywhere outside of this forum unless you want to know who lives and who dies and how it end.

Also F8AL, are we allowed to talk about multiplayer things? For example the Vulcan Cannon we got shown back at E3, are we allowed to ***** about it not being in multiplayer, or ***** about it being in multiplayer, even though it's not officially known if it's in multiplayer or not?

It pisses me off so much that the Vulcan Cannon is/isn't in this game.
Why in the world would/wouldn't they put it in the multiplayer. It is going to be so overpowered/nonexistant.

But seriously, what is the Vulcan Cannon?

Well it's in multiplayer. It's used in one of the campaign videos they showed at E3, I would go find the video but I found this picture first and it pretty much shows you everything you need to know:



Basically it's like a more devastating Mulcher that you lug around on your shoulder, but it has an ammo box that a 2nd player needs to hold to feed ammo into it.

Now I'm not too sure but by the looks of one video I saw it seems 1 person can use it, they just can't move anywhere with it because the ammo box wont budge, and I think they have to slowly reload everytime the clip finishes when they don't have someone else there to feed ammo into it.

It apparently shoots dozens of bullets a second so that gave it the illusion of being 1 or 2 bullet kill. It just tears people apart in less than a second. Luckily it looks like you can't run or get in cover with it, meaning snipers will love it, and it has massive recoil.

Haven't posted on these boards in forever - coming out of hiding to say I'm SO pumped for this game. The beta combined the best of gears 1 and 2 and I really think Epic's going in the right direction with matchmaking this time.

Hit me up for sure if you wanna play Gears 2 sometime I still play pretty regularly, my GT is Jph93.

Pretty gay about the leak I feel bad for Cliff and team but it was bound to happen

Yup. Supposedly, some version of Steam got hacked and they took Gears of War 3 with them, along with Deus Ex. Or, at least that's what I think I've heard. All I know is that Steam (and valve with it, so this will probably effect Left 4 Dead and Portal and Half-Life since Valve owns Steam basically) is getting indicted in the Deus Ex thing by Square Enix. Valve is ready to help get the hacker in any way possible but they still are in danger because they can't release any information without a court order, and that's what Square Enix has to get.

Anyways, I'm not going to look at any playthroughs of it. As much as I'm looking forward to Gears of War 3, I'm more looking forward to playing it than to watching playthroughs of stupid hackers getting to play it. I'm especially looking forward to Horde 2.0 and Beast Mode. The multiplayer from the beta seemed very fun as well. September, hurry up and get here already. ;)

I mean, I understand separating the Call of Duty threads, but that is because A LOT of people still play them, so all of the threads are pretty active.
But nearly nobody plays gears 1 or 2 anymore, and the only way to get a discussion going for an inactive game like this is to post in the most active thread for the latest game.

Tough luck. I'm not going to repeat myself: Use this thread for Gears of War 3 discussion. Nothing else.

On-topic: I plan on borrowing this game from a friend. I'm still undecided if I'm going to buy it atm. Beast mode looks hella fun and the MP looks as good as the first Gears!

I can only hope that this game lives up to all the hype. The beta was incredible, and the new modes look absolutely ridiculous. I'm glad that the put a new twist on horde mode, allowing players to purchase upgrades to make the experience that much more interesting. Can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy.

It must be crap for Epic seeing as though loads of people already know all this stuff thanks to the leaks. Like apparently they just told us about the Gunker? Plus playthroughs of the game are already on YouTube, including the end, so releasing this info is almost pointless.

I would feel bad but Cliffy B is an arse so oh well

I still haven't been spoiled in the story, so I don't think that many other people were too impatient about it.
The game has a dedicated fanbase, so the ones who really care about the game will find out when they play through it.
