Unfortunately, I think with the inclusion of Toon Link and the appearance that he won't have any changes to the moveset (maybe a move or two), it makes me think they're either being lazy or rushed. This leads me to believe there will be no de-captainization of Ganandorf. :(

I really hope I'm wrong.
And i hope Toon Link early confirmation is for making advertisement of Wind Waker HD, and they wil change some of his moves along with Ganondorf.

We might get some move changes with Ganon if we're lucky, but Toon Link will be more or less like his Brawl self which I doubt they'll change much at this point.

Just...don't be a clone or semi-clone of Captain Falcon...it doesn't even make any sense. I see how Dr. Mario was a clone of Mario and Young Link a clone of Link...but Ganon = Falcon...?
If they can't de-clone him...I dunno put in Demise and have him with an original moveset. I mean it is still the same character technically...Ganondorf is Demise reborn so...ehhh...?
Just...don't be a clone or semi-clone of Captian Falcon...

What do you guys think about "Toon Ganondorf". I gotta admit I really like his apperance in Wind Waker. Wouldnt mind seeing a toon ganondorf in smash at all.
Ganondorf really anoys me thou. He could be such a great smash character in so many ways. With his darker magic-swordsman look, his dual blade toon look or his "pig/bull"-look. There are so many possibilitys and for two games in a row we get stuck with him as a Falcon clone (wich makes zero sence)... Please don't let it be a third :(

I would really enjoy if this time Ganodorf could transform into Demon King Ganon like Zelda transforms into Sheik

Ew gross no. Besides check out that upside down triforce. This is "other world" ganondorf. He might even be a good guy as "other world" Zelda looked pretty evil sporting the same symbol. I really doubt they'd replace any character with their "other world" counterparts. Seeing as Link is his Twilight version, I think it's safe to assume we'll be seeing Twilight Zelda, Shiek, and Ganondorf return.

That looks like a woman to me. Ganon will have his own moveset this time around I'm sure of it.
I just hope he makes use of his Trident rather than a sword (He probably will end up using a sword :glare:)

That depends on whether you want Ganon (beast) or Ganondorf (human). Ganon a his trident in a few games, but Ganondorf never uses one. It would be completely untrue to his character if he suddenly started using one in Smash (that said, his current moveset is even more untrue to his character). He should use a sword.

Ganon has used a Trident:

Just remove the horse.

Ganon Beast should definitely be Ganon's final smash akin to Giga Bowser, where he can be immune to knock back and deal massive damage.

That's Phantom Ganon.

I like Ganondorf's current Final Smash, but a fully controllable 'Beast Ganon' like Giga Bowser would be excellent.

True but Phantom Ganon is just a Sprit Carnation of Ganon. Everything Phantom Ganon can do Ganon can do (except the whole phasing through walls thing)

In all Zelda games, Ganondorf is very fast and agile.
He moves like a ninja. I think a good compromise would be to give him average-good speed (like Falco) with medium-to-low high jumps (like Wolf) and then keeping his strength/power at Brawl's level, regardless of sword or not, would be a good fit because he isn't even the strongest or most powerful.
I think he's about the 6-8th strongest.

I said this already when I first joined, but I think it would be cool if he ran faster with each step. Then he could cover long distances with ease, while still being out-manuevered by most other characters.

I think his attack speed is more important though. If they came out just a tiny bit sooner, it could make a big difference. A little more range wouldn't hurt either.

If you could change only three things regarding Brawl Ganon's moveset and make it happen in SSB4, what would it be?

I'd make his Jab come out at frame 4 instead of frame 8 and with less coodown, give him decent grab-range, and switch his Warlock Punch for a Projectile.

For me, it'd pretty much be the same as what you said I guess if I could only change three things, except I would switch his down special (his version of falcon kick) for a magic projectile rather than the Warlock Punch.

The only move I'd get rid of completely is Wizard's Foot. I can imagine him doing Warlock Punch (even while holding a sword/trident), but I just don't see WF as an even kind of Ganondorf-ly move, except for maybe F.O.G. being made an intentional effect (making him levitate and all), but that would probably be better suited for a recovery move.

I'd definitely change his grab animation to Flame Choke's initial motion (holding them up in the air), with his down throw changing to the explosion of darkness that his Side B normally causes. His up throw would be the same animation as doing Flame Choke on an aerial opponent, with Ganon doing a high jump to build up momentum. Forward and back throws remain the same.

Lastly I'd change his Up Tilt to his Down Smash, with the explosion causing a dark shockwave that hits on both sides and pops enemies upwards (if sweetspotted, sends the opponent flying like U-tilt normally word). His new Up Tilt should be the cape deflect/backhand he does in Ocarina of Time.

Just make Ganondorf his OoT incarnation and Ill be semi happy. Make him NOT a CF clone and Ill be glowing. Im skeptical though due to what seems to be the increasing laziness in content of Smash 4. We shall see.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about Wizard's Foot (knew Ganon's version of falcon kick had a name; just forgot what it was till you mentioned it). With the start lag the move has in Brawl anyway, it was even easier to predict (and thus) avoid than the standard falcon kick, even if you try doing it while in the air. Whereas with Warlock Punch you can at least play the occasional mindgame where you turn around with it at the last second during mid-animation, like with Falcon Punch.

Those other changes you mentioned I could probably do without, but would definitely be welcome additions nonetheless, especially the up-tilt idea and his existing u-tilt become down-smash.
