The ONE situation where Utilt shield break is on my mind is on Pictochat when a wall separates the players. If you aren't there, don't go for it.

Dubble post, but I feel this is needed

What gerudo followup are used by people besides the conventional tilts and jab? I personnally use a walk away fsmash, or gerudo reverse, walkback or straight out. I mainly predict. What do you guys use? airs? I used to use iDA is that practical?

I use aerials. Double jumped f-airs and b-airs. D-airs tend to only work on like Bowser or other fatties, though not Ganon.

F-tilts and d-tilts and jabs and the walkaway f-smash all work quite often.

One of my favorite things to do is to choke, walk away choke after the get-up attack, then do a buffered d-tilt. Sometimes I can follow-up with a an u-air or f-air to put the opponent in a crappy position or dead.

Is it known that Ganondorf's ftilt has at least one frame of invincibility?

I was playing some teams friendlies before FS6, with a D3 partner, only Lucas from the other team was left. My D3 partner threw a gordo as Lucas was upsmashing and as I was ftilting, and it went straight through both of us, no damage or knockback.

It's recorded, but I have no idea on who's Wii, or if it will ever be uploaded.

I think this is an amazing question, maybe we should compile allll the options after gerudo, I feel we all have our own slightly different methods and there are ALOT of different things you can do, ill list several that I know but I think this could even be its own thread (probably just included in a guide tho)

And these are NOT guaranteed follow-ups…

Ill list several options for anything the opponent can do (i.e Roll back, GUA/stand up, Roll forward, and some are character dependant these are just general ideas)

Roll backwards:
Run/walk back -> stomp where they end
Pivot Side-b
Thunderstorm and DI as far backwards as possible (stomps some chars right where their roll ends)
Turn around DA??

GUA/Stand up:
Walk away -> Side-B
Walk away -> Fsmash
Stomp backwards -> Side-B (its similar to the walk away except using TS to move backwards)
Double jump -> Wizkick
Shield -> Stomp
Shield -> Side-B

Roll away:
Down-B
Run forward -> stomp
Shield -> Side-B (only a couple chars)

This is obviously a very rough list, but i think we should compile all of our ideas here, i think there are probably more then 10 options for every situation (some char dependent) but i think knowing some of these can be much more devastating then the Jab or Dtilt follow ups that we know and love..

:)

?!

Are you sure this wasn't a momentary glitch?

As for techchasing, I usually do what I feel is a good oppurtunity at the time, depending on character, distance from the edge, platforms, juggling oppurtunities etc etc.

I usually just dtilt though >_>

I don't know if it was... it's possible... the odds of a Gordo going through Lucas' 1 invince frame during upsmash AND Ganon while ftilting are pretty low, lol.

A Gordo would not get through Lucas during one invincibility frame. If Lucas was invincible when he first touched the Gordo, he would still get hit on the next frame as long as the Gordo was still touching him.

*shrugs* Like I said, it was weird, and we proceeded to kill ourselves so that it was saved and we could watch it again, and it went through both of us. Either it somehow lost it's hitbox, or we both had invincibility frames.

Could it have hit Lucas during the invul frame, and therefore canceled out it's hitbox? (like how sometimes when a Gordo hits a shield, it'll sometimes just float away while losing it's hitbox.)

I got a question: What's the best aerial to use for DI purposes? I always use bair since it's so fast and starts quickly. But is there a better aerial for DI purposes?

I have a few questions and hopefully u experienced ganons can help with

1.How can I increase the range of my thunder stomp or how can I hit with it?
I was playing a match with a link and honestly I kept missing the t-stomp and I was always a little off sometimes I will get lucky. I can do a thunder stomp as a gerudo follow up just not as an approach or defending any help would be much appreciated.

2.How can I use my b-air and f-air more offensively?
In my matches I realized I don't use these two moves offensively is that normal? I only use them defensively every time I try to RAR b-air it doesn't hit b/c the hit box is weird so I just use it when someone is behind me. Same thing with f-air I use it defensively and sometimes I don't even do that b/c its so slow and high risk.

3. Which of the two moves have more range f-tilt or d-tilt and which one should I use more often?

4.How do I exactly do the reverse pivot grab?
I read the thread and I wanna try to learn it but just to clarify so I dash in one direction then slam the analog in the other while pressing the c-stick down and the z button?

sorry for all the questions
thanks in advance guys

I think Thunderstorming is a terrible approach unless you're playing someone bad or they're playing Bowser (which is generally the same thing, lol).

I usually only use BAir and FAir by accident, lol.

Both are good and have pretty much the same range. Use depends on what you want to do at the time. DTilt pops them up while FTilt is good for sending Persians into bottomless pits.

How do you stutter step FSmash? Same basic idea only stricter timing. I just turn, turn grab with R. I recommond practicing it with Olimar where it's really easy to tell if you're doing it right. Although with Ganon having a bad grab I think his pivot is probably just as (don't quote me on that though).

And you better be sorry. We don't take kindly to questions in our Q&A thread. :p

I do stutter step f-smashes all the time, i don't even do normal f-smashes anymore.
And how to to approach people with ganon is easy, just use ur epic mindgames on the opponent and it will all work out... :D

WHAT? Ftilt only has like half the range that Dtilt has. Ftilt has even less range than jab. Dtilt should be used much more often.

Fair covers a very large area if you fastfall during it. It's a useful move IF you can master just barely hitting them with it so it is harder for them to retaliate.

First of all, Thunderstomps shouldn't be used as a approach. To increase the range, just do a quick dash before inputting the commands (for a stomp).

2.How can I use my b-air and f-air more offensively?
In my matches I realized I don't use these two moves offensively is that normal? I only use them defensively every time I try to RAR b-air it doesn't hit b/c the hit box is weird so I just use it when someone is behind me. Don't use BAir against characters who are too short to get hit by it (obviously). But, against characters like Charizard, Dedede, Bowser, and so on, it's best to use BAir as a spacing tool. It's not that hard to get a hang of. RAR BAir, then start moving away from the opponent, chances are that you'll get away safely.

FAir has a few frames of incredible range. If you take your time to master when those few frames come out, and how to use it with fastfalls/jumps properly, then it'll be one of your most used spacing tools.

3. Which of the two moves have more range f-tilt or d-tilt and which one should I use more often?
DTilt has the most range out of any of Ganon's moves (other than FSmash). Use DTilt to poke shields more often, it's safe on some characters, but not against others.

4.How do I exactly do the reverse pivot grab?
I read the thread and I wanna try to learn it but just to clarify so I dash in one direction then slam the analog in the other while pressing the c-stick down and the z button?
Dash away from the way your facing, then slide your control stick in the opposite direction while pressing Z.

But who's going to shield when you jump? Everyone will just roll behind you 'cause there's nothing you can do if you even predict that.

I got many grabs with Ganon by pivot grabbing. Is Ganon's pivot grab really good in horizontal range?

Ganondorf is so bad in Online matches ?

I played many Online matches with Ganondorf a 2 days ago and I get ***** by someone who used Snake and Ness.

My connections were very good but I had Lag when I got Launched, impossible to perform the proper DI.
I played well, I performed good Fsmashes, Nice Spikes, U-airs Edge Guards, but I always lost in the Final Stock.

I'm good in Offline matches with my Friends, But Online...

Any Tips how to play well with Ganondorf in Online Matches?

But PhantomX.. Ganon's Fsmash is a little bit Laggy and I can got Punished for that sometimes.

Another thing, Always when I tried to perform a Spike, the opponent always Used Air-Dogde... Oh man... =/

My Ground game isn't too good in Online Match. :(

People can airdodge those offline too.

And I say to spam them b/c punishing things in lag is amazingly hard, b/c you have to buffer the stuff before it happens.

Yeah.. They AirDodge in Offline ...

Spam: Normal Fsmash or Salmon Smash ?

PhantomX, its Hard to Perform U-air -> Instant Attack. Cause C-stick in Lag is horrible. Some of my Air Attacks doesn't work with C-stick. lol

PhantomX any tips about Snakes Projectiles ? (Punishing)
