Also, since emilio is here JJ aka KOU aka SNIPA PNOI is picking up melee cuz the two of them were butt buddies in highschool.

vgMASTA vs SNIPApnoi doc dittos...wildest dreams came true.

Summer B update: They opened up the Papa Johns. It's $2.50 a slice for cheese and like a quarter more per topping. Panda Express is gonna create a chub force to equalize the UF athletes, also I saw Lio on campus DOIN' WORK on his cell.
I like the sound of this quote. But JJ pickin' up melee is gotta be bologna :(. He should be aka Neo from the Matrix; dodgin' all my attempts to even play him in melee.

Unless he switches to Marth ;)
 oh no

Well notice he said "best meal on campus you will have from the dining halls." In other words, if you picked a random dining hall for breakfast, you'd have a 50% chance of guessing right.

Also we'll let Linguini have his fun for this month. You can "run" gainesville for the summer, but we own the place during the year!

@Gabe: I don't have 44 pages on that thread (40 posts/page, noob!) but I have seen VaNz combo that guys brains in that match. ****'s bananas

It's just been my experience that it has always been of better quality for breakfast, especially better quality than gator dining near the stadium. I haven't been in a long time, but I remember it having a full waffle bar with countless toppings, and other treats. Maybe they have updated gator dining to be of the same quality and features, which would be good for anyone who lives near there.

This is completely directed towards Mark (Renth). Did you watch Shroomed vs HungryBox at Pound 4?!

EDIT:
Nevermind, there is some guy in the background bein' hella silly about the match, but I think it's some guy name Peter who just sounds like Mark.

I watched the last two matches ricky and that *** in the background talking mad **** is ******** lol I'm glad hungrybox won. Waffles and Phil are good but they, like 99.9% of melee players, would probably get ****ed up by hbox in tournament.

U mad that brawl can never be as fast as melee?

Brawl's a good game to some people, but I simply don't like it. It doesn't help that my favorite character is bad (Sonic) and that my old main is slow as **** (Marth).

Oh, and the argument was that Diddy is as technical as Fox...which is laughable.
It's not like you would know since you don't play brawl. I've learned how to drill shine with fox and all that ****. IMO **** is harder with diddy kong. Try doing **** like DAUCUS and such, that **** is extremely hard.

LOLLLLLL @ dacus being hard. I don't even play brawl anymore and I can still do it consistently. With Snake, Diddy, Sheik, Fox, Sheik, Link, and probably Wario, too (While actually hitting my opponent). Dash attack cancels are pretty simple.

I'm beginning to figure you're just trolling completely, because no person in their right mind who knows what they're talking about could ever honestly mean what you just said.

glide tossing, bdacus, banana locks, dribbling, barrel canceling, etc. all of that **** is pretty easy. that doesn't mean it's not cool though. ADHD vs M2K makes brawl fun to watch.

I have played brawl in the past, and I still keep up with it here and there. the fact that you're even trying to remotely debate that brawl can be anywhere as technical/fast as melee is just ridiculous.

Not to mention half of the brawl AT names sounds ********....mark knows all about that bull****. Chainchoke lololololol

edit; where is the fest being held this weekend? are we smashing thursday at all, matt?

Nah it's straight Waffles it's just that the only thing more annoying than watching a puff play was that guy being ****ing obnoxious. But I understand it's to help his friend. I just didn't find it funny really. If he had been funny to me I would have been all for it lol

lol i was just giving an example. **** is hard to do btw, adhd even said he can't do consistently so i kinda doubt u can do it. Harder **** to do that I've been actually trying to master since its more useful is the Single Naner Lock. Master that and pull that off in a tournament, and I will concede and say that melee is more technical than brawl. Something a bit simpler than that but still hard to pull off is the ICs infinite chaingrab.

But like i said y'all are just into mele for the technical/fast of it. Not all characters are fast in brawl, but there are ones that can be fast and aggressive, y'all just havent experimented enuff.

In melee there are a lot of technical things to do yes, but most of them are rather easy to perform. The only thing I remember that I couldn't pull of back in the day was the stuff shiz managed to pull off with falco, like that stand in place triple to quadruple shine or w/e. I could only manage to pull that off if I changed my hand position, but how he manages to keep his tournament hand position still while performing that is beyond me.

The bonus for melee is the almost infinite room for growth in technicality, spacing, and speed. Idk or care if Brawl has this room for growth, it has too many annoying things you have to BAN in order to make competitive...

We like melee because...

melee's better. done. Nintendo tried hard to make brawl unappealing to tournament play. For us who played melee, brawl **** on the franchise. I stand by that.

We all have horror stories of brawl, but none can be said for melee. Brawl has too many dumb mechanics that requires rules to be put in place to stop. Unless you count stalling, which has been banned in both games, there is nothing like that in melee. The closest thing we have is whether or not to ban IC's easy infinite. D3's bull**** chain grab, planking, ledge-stall with pit, no meteor smashes (no cancelling that is), tripping, footstool jump, etc, etc... Are just really stupid. Oh yeah, then there's balance issues. Fun stuff...

I watch combo vids in brawl and I'm like rofl what combos? I think half of one of those vids was D3 chain gabbing off the blast zones... Why make a vid of that?

Ok, Brawl is more technical.

I'll tech skill money match you in melee and brawl if it makes you feel better.

Also, ADHD not being a technical player =/= Diddy tech skill is hard.

IT'S. NOT. HARD.

I'd like to point out that (almost) everything in both games is REALLY easy to pull off with practice. I had my little brother (11 years old) Shield-dropping in Melee and DACUS'ing in Brawl in under a minute each. Once you practice the timing for this stuff, it's not easy to do by itself.

Now what you said about CONSISTENTLY and IN TOURNAMENT is important. I've seen Colbol mess **** up in tournament and surprise himself. Ditto what you said w/ ADHD and these are technically proficient players.

You like what you like, we like what we like. That's it. You don't like Melee cuz it's old (which we think is silly) and we don't like Brawl cuz it has annoying mechanics (which I'm sure you think is silly). How about we all try being "open-minded" *shoots self, stupid phrase* and just do our thing? Josh does it, Max does it. We can too

END: I'd like to bring everyone's attention one last time to --> **** by one of Melee's slower characters. This comment stands alone, w/o knowledge of the previous conversation. VaNz just blows my mind... He pretty much perfected what XiF was trying to do

I know exactly what I'm talking about. I stated that's my opinion and I'm sure many people agree. Brawl is just meh... And max, I'm pretty sure you know that I know what I'm talking about. How could I possibly be wrong about anything I said?

And Matt, we are having this conversation. We are having a wonderful debate of opinions that you don't care for. That's fine. Idk if we have to stop posting or not, but I've definitely had my two cents put in. Nobody's getting butthurt over this... Sheesh...
