Mango talked with me. Serioulsy guys, that's not gonna make me change my mind.
Im sorry to all the people I dissapoint with this, I truly am. But do people really wanna see me play if I don't have the fire?

Even if you would like to see it I can tell you it's not happening. I have done much for the community and have got so much from it too.

My decision is final!

armada will you at least give mango a serious exhibition set? The world just wants to watch you two play each other whether you're technically retired or not

i would support an exhibition set between them if armada is up for it.... otherwise put the money towards evo or getting good europeans to Evo/G3

What a hype killer. What's going to happen with the money?
I would rather see mango vs the top usa players over anyone in euroland.

Mango, you can keep my share if you use it to go to USA tournaments instead of getting drunk. Unless it's after you win one...

if armada is okay with it, i would gladly go to a europe tourney if it was paid for, return any money i win but play serious games with everyone, just to have a few hours or something (or set or sets) with armada over this summer. It would be either a set or just hours of high level footage (I have a lot of characters I wanted to try vs peach that I will never get to try at) for the smash community (as much as i can possibly get)

Armada, had you told me you were quitting before apex 2013, I would have requested either a serious set or money match set or something before you left. =/ that is why I will go to europe just to do this (and any other europeans that would want to play me). I really wanted to play another set but I did not know you were quitting or I would have just done it then. Why didn't you tell me!??! =/ I guess you did not think about that it just is unfortunate for me I guess

this is prolly the only time i would ever go to europe in my life though and i dont care if i am not allowed to win any money at all it is pretty much only for this. I would be coming with Toph also probably.

i am being 100% serious with all of the things i have said and would really like and be grateful for this opportunity if it is still possible

I am also kind of tired of melee (loss of armada to me = a loss of a great teammate, a rival/goal, and good friend [that i would actually see and play with irl] all gone at the same time, not to mention i dislike falco/puff so I don't know how much I even want to stick around now with this new metagame now; I have also never cried over someone quitting before yesterday) but I feel that I want to do this for both myself and the community

so can i have the chance?

i think this is the last thing i would ever ask from armada and the melee community tbch

I think the money should be refunded either to EVO, either to M2K in Europe.

But of course people should have the right to get their money back if they want it.

Armada & Mew2king. The teammates which dominated the whole ****ing world meet a last time on the battleground - facing each other in a final serious set.

I would pay for that.

Besides, Armada would have the ultimate john if he lost: "meh, I wasn't playing srsly anyway ;);)"

Could Armada pull of the Mango ?

Yeah, and I wouldn´t mind if he did that. Armada has been more than an idol for countless smashers all over the world - he´s already given so much for the people - and I think Armada is true to his word...But that opportunity for M2K would be like a last huge present for all the Melee players out there. Plus M2K got a point saying he didn´t know about Armada retiring so he regets not playing him in a serious set. Armada shouldn´t disregard that. He might known he would quit after Apex for a long time - but no one else did.

honestly had i known ahead of time he would quit, I would have definitely made sure to have at least 1 serious set (if not more) before he went back to europe

same way I skipped FC (despite being able to make 1-2k from it pretty easily if i did show) for SRT's tourney for pride/challenge/community/etc I would do the same to replay him

I totally understand that. Armada flights back to the other end of the world and declares his retirement -> No way you could ever play him again. :urg:

Imo the best way would´ve been Armada declares his retirement after Apex BEFORE Apex actual happend. People from America could´ve had a last chance playing him.

This is an unhappy situation.
