im playing pokemon black power. trying to trade to do some breeding but I have a DS lite and my wifi is only WEP, not WPA. issue is that i dont know the password to my wifi to change it to WPA, and i dont have another router i could just use instead =/

i either have to find a wireless router, or buy a DSi/3ds to fix this issue

i know the password to my wifi

the problem is that the DS lite can only connect to wifi that has a WPA key, aka the 64-128 bit encryption (aka, the loooooooooong *** hex code). it cant do the WEP security (aka, the passcode, like a small password)

the other problem is that the password to the settings of my router are not the same as the actual wifi itself, so i cant change the settings without finding it. A DSi/3DS can connect to wifi with the WEP password AND the WPA long code, and not just WPA

the cheaper route would be to get my own wireless router from the lan connection in my room temporarily to make my own hotspot in which i can control.

And I know a lot more about the game that we're working on but I think it'd be better that I withhold the info until release. I will say that it's primarily for PC and Steam, but we're also considering plans for major Smartphone ports (Android/iPhone/etc.)
