Please wait until you hear the voices in actual gameplay before you judge. Pit's voice isn't that bad btw.
True, I've heared way worse. Ironically, the voices that are way worse are in the most watched shows in my area. <_< And the games.
IMO, Pit's voice isn't good, but it isn't bad either. If he had an actual kid voicing him, he would probably sound better. Sonic, ew. just ew. Ike sounds....well the voice is okay. I just don't like the friend thing. Meta Knight, his voice sounds kinda.... <_< not bad, but...
Falco's is awesome. Fox's....meh. the brittish thing is missing. I liked the british accent.

Metaknights voice is so awsome. And for the qwadrillion people who have said he sounds like vadar, shush. He's just got a deep voice for crying out loud. >_>

Seriously, I'll rather watch 4kidz anime than playing this version of Brawl.
This guy is absolutely right, but his choice of words isn't the most adequate. The voice actors for characters with a new dub for the English version are cheap and amateurish save Metaknight's who seems to know what he's doing although the voice may be a bit too deep for the character, Snake's, who is David Hayter (possibly the best voice actor in Brawl) and Jigglypuff (she always sound good).

Fortunately, they'll dub the Trainer voice into French and German for PAL version.

Okay... some answers as to how not all of this is Brawl's staff's fault.

Brawl is hiring already canon voices for characters that already have voices. The Melee cast (for most voices) moved on to Brawl. Pokemon Trainer has Ash's current anime voice. Sonic is using the current anime and game Sonic voice, same for Ike, Snake, etc.

I'm not a huge Star Fox fan, so I'm not sure if the Star Fox voices are pre-existing, or a random change.

With this as the case, you can't actually blame Sakurai, but merely blame the people that hired these guys in the first place (4Kids, the idiots that recast Pokemon, Sega... Snake is good, don't blame Konami).

Only Pit and Meta Knight don't have current standing Voices. As Nintendo had a falling out with 4Kids, the 4Kids voices for Kirby series are not likely. So really they are the main ones you can pin on Brawl itself.

People saying that Ike's sucks, it's Ike, he hardly
shows any emotion at all...

im almost definitely positive the voices will sound better with music and other ruckus going on in a brawl.

hearing them isolated only makes em sound worse than they really are.

Ah well. Just turn the sound off. I don't care what my brother says, "Falcon Punch!" and "Show me your moves!" do not warrant hearing some of these voices.

But MK = Vader so MK = More win because Vader = Confirmed.

Also, on one of Falco's voice clips, he sounded more british than italian to me. O.o

Quoted for truth! Wolf is SO BADASS in that game!

Secondly, while we're on the topic, STOP DISSING FALCO'S ACCENT! HIS LAST NAME IS LOMBARDI! LOMBARDI! His accent's exactly as it should sound.
It's not the accent that's the problem, it's the way they pulled it off. It could sound a lot better but it sounds like they pulled some random guy off the street and asked him to do the most cliche Brooklyn accent they could think of.

Fox has never had a british accent in any of his games. The "COME OWN!" you mistake for being british is Engrish, not even near a UK accent.

And I can't understand the Sonic fanboys that pine for his old voice. His voice sounds better acted than Pit OR Ike. It's not even like they were THAT different. Now the old vs new Shadow or Rouge? You might have an argument there.

Metaknight's was beast, Fox was okay, Falco having a Brooklyn accent is weird, Ike was decent, and Pit was just terrible. At least the game will be great.

In terms of purely the voices (not taking delivery and acting into account),

Fox is terrible.

Meta Knight is fantastic.

Pit is the worst thing I have ever heard in my life.

Ike is pretty **** good.

Falco's taxi-cab-driver voice is awful.

I'm dissapointed Marth is still Japanese.

Pokemon Trainer is absolutely hilarious, he sounds like he's having a fit. Suits the role fine though. All of the Pokemon themselves sound fine.

Sonic is great, though I'd rather have any of his older voice actors.

Snake is great.

And we already know Mario, Luigi, Wario and Samus sound fantastic.

Like I said in another post. I don't think it's the actual voice (honestly, the voice sounds fine, and compared to other Brawl VAs, it looks fantastic), but actually the rhythm that the character talks in during the games. Dummond was much better at this than Griffith. Drummond had a sort of rhythm that changed here and there, but Griffith's voice stays at the same rhythm regardless.

Because of that, Drummond will be better than Griffith until he learns how to control that rhythm.

Short of it: The whole crew pre Sonic X was generally better than what 4Kids made. Dialog and voice acting.

Long of it: What I just said, add in that Sonic Team didn't properly TELL the old cast they were fired till after they chose to keep using the Sonic X cast, add that 4Kids is made of generally evil things, they ruin more TV than Fox itself, and that most of the 4Kids voices are connected to the cast of Yu-Gi-oh!, Pokemon, TMNT (bad recent cartoon), One Piece before Shonen Jump saved it... and you get the idea.

I disagree with what you said about Samus, Falco, Ike, Pit, Sonic and Fox.

Fox's isn't that bad really, once you listen to it a couple times. Falco's is the best, probably neck in neck with MK's. Samus doesnt sound FANTASTIC, samus sounds the best of all the 4 names you listed, therefor she needs her own category. Pit, I have heard worse than that. Case and point, Pokemon Trainer. Sonic's....ugh...ew...:urg:

All the voices are fine, some of the dialog is very cheesy however and Falco could be a pit more irritated sounding.

Here is another set of character voices http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQOEHk9mhbI:
include: PT, Sonic, Marth, Jigglypuff, and little bit of Snake. Sorry if this been posted.
This is not my work
I like PT and Sonic, they could have been much worse, but I actually like them. PT has an angry passion (just like a kid should have sometimes). And Sonic altogether sounds good, some could have been better I think. The pokemon are familiar from 4Kids pokemon (not bad, although I o_0 at first at Ivysaur, haven't heard his voice in the anime). Snake's easily the best though.

Pit is really that worse. Why does Nintendo use an downgraded 4kids/sega voice actor for the game?

I expected Ivysaur's voice to be that scratcy voice that Ash's Bulbasaur had in the Anime, but I was pleasantly suprised!

Pit has the worst character voice. Even worse than Diddy's sound effects.:chuckle:
Well, that's the reason to get the japanese version. Seriously, Sakurai pulls so many incredible ideas into the game and NoA isn't able to get some talented voice actors. Except for the Metal Gear and Sonic Franchise.

This might be very true, however, it doesn't remove the fact that the VA's for some character sucks my balls.
