Favorite Anime?

I don't enjoy too much anime. I feel like the manga will always be better, but some anime I do love are:

Gunslinger Girl (First season... 2nd season looks like garbage)
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Paranoia Agent
Hunter x Hunter (I watched the anime before reading the manga, still, I love the anime :})
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo
One Piece (ocassionally... mostly just for the fights, I prefer the manga)

That's basically it. Manga list is a lot longer. ;}

I'd like to get into some new anime series but nothing really appeals to me. Bleach is garbage IMO, as is Naruto Shippuden and 3/4 of Naruto - Lol.

Saint Seiya, it started like 20 years ago and neither the manga nor the anime have ended, it is quite simple and entertaining.

Another would be Neon Genesis Evangelion, a series that is deep and sometimes confusing, yet short and to the point, maybe I enjoyed it more because I'm an atheist.

agreed. for example if you read elfen lied then watch the anime you'll be like "ZOMG WTF they got the story all wrong"

Berserk is the best anime I've ever seen, and the Berserk manga is even better somehow. I recommend it first and foremost.

I like how there's 3 anime topics in one subforum.

Anyways, you know the drill, Hokuto no Ken is awesome. Best anime ever, blablabla, nothing less.

If people want pros and cons, I dunno... alright alright

+ Pros

- Best ****ing intro theme ever (YOU WA SHOCK!)
- Kenshiro doesn't **** around.
- Kenshiro has big as **** eyebrows.
- Techniques and the martial arts are cool (北斗百裂拳 (IE Hokuto Hyakurestu ken!(IE : ATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATAT WATAA!)))
- Character Design/Art is great.
- There's no longs periods of walking around, there's always action even if they're travelling.
- Not that much fillers, and even if there's some they're still great compared to others.
- Tons of 'Intense Glares' shots.
- French dub was so bad is was funny (You had to see it to believe it)
- Spawned a good fighter ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YG73SUI4y4U )
- Villains had substance.

- Cons

- Sometimes the art is inconsistent.
- Some characters that had potential are killed very shortly after their introduction.
- Alot of recaps episodes.
