Falco Secondaries-Who do YOU use?

I was just wondering who you all use to back up when things get shaky.
I currently use (I know I'm a scrub). I've used hm off and on in the past, so I decided to make him permanent, and hes mk. 'Nuff said.

I've been debating to start using instead though, since I've gotten a lot better with her. She is good vs Ice Climbers and olimar(I personally suck at that matchup). She also fairs well on stages Falco does not.

I also still play , but I dont use him in tournaments because he does nothing to help Falco's weaknesses.

But anyway, who is/are your second/secondaries and why?

and are mah brothas w/ . I'm not scared of the IC's match-up and Kirby players are lazy w/ using what Kirby can really do. Only problem I have is w/ Meta Knight, but I'm getting better w/ countering tornado spam.

I main and second and because I have an inherent desire to frustrate people. I also use a bit, so the only matchup that isn't really covered is .

I use falco still for marth. Although my friend(Marth main) came up to psu this weekend and made me remember why I don't like the matchup =/. Yay zero deaths! Thankfully he sucks vs my mk

I use as a dual main and learning as a secondary, I am thinking of picking up when I have time to practice his tricks.

Only two real troubling matchups for Falco are MK and Marth imo. I haven't personally had A LOT of trouble with any other character. However, I still think Falco has the tools to cover those two with enough smarts.

I main Snake. Falco, MK are my defined back-ups. Peach I am struggling to learn. I have a variety of weird back-ups. Sometimes DDD does me better than anyone else?

I main , and sub . But if I get a terrible matchup for both characters like IC's or Pikachu, I use . Chain Birdies for life.

I second Zss which has been working out pretty great, she covers Marth and i like the IC match up w/ her as well. The only match up that i hate is Falco since its a bad match up for Zss and dittos r dumb.

Worst MU is 55:45 for the opponent, so I think I've settled just right.

Yeah those are my worst MU's, and I play Marth's regularly and I honestly think Marth-Falco is 55:45. MK is just lol laser camp moar.

Also, I tried learning ZSS, but I'm a grabaholic, and I couldn't get over her awful grab.
I'm just a lot better with Peach. I will say she is a hard character to learn. I still have only used her in 1 tourney match(I lost lol). But I feel she is finally ready

If I picked up Peach, pretty sure I wouldn't have an MU worse than 4:6 (Marth).

I wouldn't advice anyone to start Zero suit as 'just a secondary', lol

Recovery that makes you go 'wut?'
Hard to not get gimped but entirely possible
Moves that seem good but are actually useless (sideB)
Smashes don't kill
Spacings moves are killers
No real oos options
Scrub grab but top tier throws

I played SASSY this weekend at Br2. Best ZSS I've played hands down. It gave me a lot more respect for the character. He wound up winning the set and knocking me out ;_;, but it was an epic set. He went on to get 9th overall too, which make me even more mad I lost, since I probably would of did a lot better than 33rd =/.

I think my problem is vs zss I always try to use the armor pieces against her. Worked on all the mediocre ones I've played. Kinda backfired on me in the first match vs him. >_>

ZSS should be no problem for you, just use silent laser > reflector, they can't really do any devastating punish for that. I think only Dsmash if you suck at positioning yourself.

I wasnt talking about match up wise, for me personally i love the zss-marth match up. My bad should have said that in the beginning :/

I kinda wrecked him the second match, by pretty much doing this lol. He CPd PS1, which made it hard to keep the camping pressure on consistently.

I dont laser camp with falco that much. I tend to play him a little more aggressive, staying right outside their attack range using lasers to force openings and keep the pressure on. The thing that sucked is that he would get like 40% off of me whenever i got hit with a dsmash.

I'd probably do a lot better if I did a lot more laser camping.

Eventually laser camping becomes absolute, just look at DEHF and SK92, they don't even use that many lasers. It's best to force an approach and create an opening but nothing more tbh

I've never had to play against a good Pikachu though, and there aren't that many around anyway.

The ftilt lock can still get some serious damage even if you SDI it.

Sheik's Ftilt is a 0-death if started on the right percentages. Also, it's hardly SDI-able (check PSA)

I generally just use all falco in tournament, it's the best way to improve as a player I think. I only switch if I REALLY think I need to.
