Maybe at the end of the direct we'll see the trailer for Mewtwo and maybe some info about the pricing for those who don't have both of the games

Haha i didn't know u r getting a welcoming here, thanks a lot, i am sure i will.Customary Welcoming to the Boards:
Hope you enjoy your time here!
I seriously doubt the Direct, though. A surprise Direct seems very unlikely, and it's the day before. I think we would have gotten an announcement by now.
According to this one here there won't be any news about smash 4, so neither mewtwo.. i hope that's not like the direct will really look likeSeeing more Mewtwo footage in the direct, or even a picture... ANYTHING... would be the best start to this year! I really hope we see something.
BF DLC screams fake IMO. I don't trust this at all.According to this one here there won't be any news about smash 4, so neither mewtwo.. i hope that's not like the direct will really look like
I could buy a New3DS in the future, but only when there are already a fair number of exclusive games for it. Moreover, at that moment probably it will be possible to find a new3DS at a lower price. Or rather, a completely new nintendo handheld console would have been announced, so I'd wait directly thatIn other news the New 3DS may arrive in NA sooner than most thought...
http://www.gamnesia.com/news/gamest...-in-north-america-on-february-13#.VLSDlSvF8rX
So who's being suckered into getting one? And who thinks I should get one? And who's getting the XL? Regular? Who thinks Club Nintendo of America will do an ambassador edition for these like Nintendo of Europe? Who thinks I'm asking too many questions? I do!
And yes, this is Mewtwo-related because A.) Smash attacks with nub, B.) Potential New 3DS-exclusive features for upcoming Pokémon games, and C.) Possible Mewtwo cover plates.
some people play with smash3ds using a gamecube controller, so probably that sakurai's assertion was an untrue excuseIt wouldn't have worked. The circle pad pro takes up 5% of the 3DS's processing power. The 3DS just wouldn't have been able to physically run both Smash and the circle pad pro.
[collapse=] Huh, completely forgot these things were internet compatible...1. How much better is the web browser? Can it handle .png images? Can you load all the stuff on Smashboards?
[collapse=] Well, Pokemon is the only 3DS game I own that puts any form of strain on my old 3DS, the New 3DS does seem to run "Better" Pokemon X/Y still lag quite a bit, but I believe that it's more due to it's terrible optimization more than anything. Regardless Pokemon is turn based so it doesn't matter so much, and every game I've played that requires twitch reflects and direct input run like butter!2. Do existing 3DS games run better? Like the lag in Pokemon XY when you turn on the 3D, etc.
[collapse=] I'm left handed and have practiced archery for years, which means I'm one eye dominant.3. Is the 3D easier to view with the supposed head tracking or whatever it is they implemented? In other words, is it less temperamental and blurry?
[collapse=]Basically the same, get a good half day use of battery with wi-fi turned on, however it does seem to use more energy if you put it to sleep with wireless on. I suspect that Wi-fi is going full blast compared to it going to sleep too with the older models. however, turn Wi-Fi off and it's the same sleep energy consumption as the normal 3DS, so about a week on sleep.4. How is the battery life compared to a normal 3DS/XL?
[collapse=]You're not going to believe it, but the New 3DS XL in New Zealand is actually cheaper than the 3DS XL!5. How much do they cost compared to an old XL?
[collapse=]A few, mostly minor niggles and complaints.6. Any other observations, disappointments, or things you enjoy about it?
Pretty damn sure it has something to do with Australia's stupid ass tax bs[collapse=] Huh, completely forgot these things were internet compatible...
Well I google searched .PNG and loaded up a few pages of pictures, the 3DS didn't seem to mind, although the pictures were a bit pixely due to the smaller resolution.
For a more stressful test I loaded up Newgrounds and went though their flash movies and watched "the best Pokemon." It loaded up both pages and played the .SWF just fine. I can't remember if I tried this on a normal 3DS, but it's much better than the DSi which RAM crashed loading Wikipedia and couldn't play .SWf's at all.
Smashboards is ugly and clunky with the 3DS web browser but otherwise loads up fine.[/collapse]

Smash Bro's also loads a fair bit faster, but since both models of 3DS are SSD's it's barley noticeable. (Loading times on 3DS are super fast anyway, so it's kind of moot.) [/collapse]

This makes stereoscopic 3D really hard for me to differentiate, basically, every form of 3D comes out as a fair bit blurry. That being said the 3D in the New 3DS is a very much definite improvement over the old model, the tracker actually does a very good job of figuring out the distance and angle of your face and adjusts accordingly.
Not 100%, but a definite improvement. [/collapse]

[collapse=]You're not going to believe it, but the New 3DS XL in New Zealand is actually cheaper than the 3DS XL!
I brought the New 3DS XL on day one launch for $280NZD (November the 21st). As I am looking up right now, the price has remained the same for the New 3DS XL but the older models are going from $300-350NZD. I'm not sure if this Australasia's F'ked up pricing system for video games, or if Nintendo is selling for a cheaper cut than that of the normal 3DS. (It's worth noting that the New 3DS is being released early due to lack of demand in NZ and AU, the cheaper price may be in order to peak interest more, and promote the new product) [/collapse]
[collapse=]A few, mostly minor niggles and complaints.
1) The New 3DS Does not come with it's own charger! I don't know if it's to cut costs or if Japan has a stigma for chargers (I've heard similar complaints about PSP chargers too). So keep that in mind if you are a fist time 3DS/DSi owner. The official dock charger for the New 3DS is about $20, but you can get USB chargers online for dirt cheap too!
2) You can't register your New 3DS with Club Nintendo! "What that? So I can't get rewards for buying an additional and expensive product months before it's international release and before any real companies have adapted around it? Yeah f'k you too Nintendo!"
3) the 2nd C-stick is stiff, this may be a game changer for some, but the second c-stick actually doesn't move at all! It's a stiff little nub that juts out and puts directional commands adjacent to where it scenes pressure, it's more of a button than a joysick, it's going to take some getting used to, and a few may not like it at all.
4) Download speeds are noticeably faster! I'm a man who likes physical copies so I can't truly say how great the change is, but there is, but patches and updates are far faster and smoother than when I use my old 3DS, I am thinking of downloading the complete series of Phoenix Wright, and if I notice anything else I'll add it on!
5) The New 3DS now has 2 hinges! so you ruffians out there are less likely to snap the top half off!
[/collapse]
I'm from NZ, and brought both systems from NZ, so I'm not sure that applies to me.Pretty damn sure it has something to do with Australia's stupid *** tax bs
Eh, I dunno. The EB Games website says that New 3DS is more expensive than the 3DS XL sooooo..... YeahI'm from NZ, and brought both systems from NZ, so I'm not sure that applies to me.
Also to clarify, is this Nintendo direct tomorrow?or starting in a couple of hours? Global times confuse the s**t outta me!
Thank you so much for all your answers! Is it weird that the Club Nintendo thing bothers me the most? I still have my 3DS XL wall charger, so that's not a concern. I'm also not sure the stiff nature of the c-nub will work out or not, but I'm hoping they'll have floor models when this thing comes out, so you can try it. Overall, this seems like a fairly positive review in my book[collapse=] Huh, completely forgot these things were internet compatible...

I think they should make him "unlockable" in the game in some way. Simply downloading him and having him as soon as you do so would kind of feel like a cheat. But in the end, I guess it doesn't matter. lolI'm dying to see Mewtwo's official artwork
By the way, guys, if I were you I wouldn't expect a trailer this soon. It's just too early. Remember he's being released in Spring (most likely April) and the hype will explode if they show him in the March direct near release. If they release it now, the hype won't be as strong.
By the way, I was thinking of something, and I want to know your opinion. What would you think if Mewtwo was, aside from downloadable, unlockable? Imagine finishing the download and then...
CHALLENGER APPROACHING! And then you have to fight Mewtwo before you can actually use him. Why? I don't know, but I think it would be pretty fun
OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT MEWTWO'S RETURN!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT I'M SO EFFING HAPPY :'''''D
Inb4 you have to play 20 hours again. That won't be a problem for me, thoughI think they should make him "unlockable" in the game in some way. Simply downloading him and having him as soon as you do so would kind of feel like a cheat. But in the end, I guess it doesn't matter. lol
I disagree. In fact, I wish that all the characters had been unlocked from the start. It's arbitrary, especially for characters they revealed publicly anyway like Lucina and Duck Hunt.I think they should make him "unlockable" in the game in some way. Simply downloading him and having him as soon as you do so would kind of feel like a cheat. But in the end, I guess it doesn't matter. lol
I'm not agree with you, because the hype of these days is useful to persuade more people to buy both version to receive mewtwo. Yes, the same effect can be achieved if they release a trailer laiter, but with more days available, people can organize better to pick the version of smash they still doesn't have.I'm dying to see Mewtwo's official artwork

Hmmm, well put. I never thought of it that way!I'm not agree with you, because the hype of these days is useful to persuade more people to buy both version to receive mewtwo. Moreover, we had trailers about newcomers months earlier than SSB's release, and the hype isn't fainted. On the opposite, "to strike while the iron is hot" is a good strategy of marketing, to maintain the attention high
What fighting game requires you to fight a DLC character to unlock them anyway? Injustice, MVC3, and PSASBR(ugh) don't ask you to do that, which is nice.I think they should make him "unlockable" in the game in some way. I feel like I'm only person who actually thought about this on a regular basis. Personally, I'd like to see Mewtwo levitating with his arms crossed, glaring into the middle distance. Crossing arms is almost synonymous to Mewtwo in Smash. Obviously, there was his Taunt, but he also crossed them during his Teetering animation, while he was sleeping, during his D-Air and U-Air, when he was Helpless, falling, and Double Jumping, when he walked forward, and during his U-Throw. I'd like to see that reflected in his art. Levitating and glaring should be obvious, considering Mewtwo's personality.I'm dying to see Mewtwo's official artwork
Well, yeah, Mewtwo loves grabbing things.I wonder if Mewtwo will be a grabber, his Melee incarnation sounds like his throws were the most powerful thing about him.
More like pulling, if you catch my drift skillsWell, yeah, Mewtwo loves grabbing things.
OK, I'm back and I have some questions.RE: Palutena PAH eternal goddess my arse! she couldn't "God" herself out of a washbasket if it were not for her lapdog Pit!
RE: New 3DS, Had a new 3DS XL for months, feel free to ask me any questions if you are curious.
Direct is on at 3AM for me. Darn!
People who play with a GCC have modded the console. Most likely the GCC's aren't acting as a peripheral device and don't require extra processing power and instead act as the 'built in' device.I could buy a New3DS in the future, but only when there are already a fair number of exclusive games for it. Moreover, at that moment probably it will be possible to find a new3DS at a lower price. Or rather, a completely new nintendo handheld console would have been announced, so I'd wait directly that

Yes, the release date couldn't come any sooner. Hopefully tomorrow.*Waiting for Mewtwo*
Hmm..... Still closed... Still closed... Still not released... Hmmmm.... Mmmmmmm....
That looks fake. There's no way Gamefreak is going to put Battle Frontier for a whooping 10 bucksAccording to this one here there won't be any news about smash 4, so neither mewtwo.. i hope that's not like the direct will really look like
Agreed, battle frontier is fun, but its not that fun to go pay actual money on it.That looks fake. There's no way Gamefreak is going to put Battle Frontier for a whooping 10 bucks
It will include a basic self-branded Micro SD card. It just won't include a charger.
Does anyone know if the MicroSD is included in the New Nintendo 3DS or will they want us to buy one separate? I know it was included in Europe's ambassador bundle. I'm going to enter all of my Club Nintendo codes tomorrow just incase NA does it too and having a certain amount of coins is the criteria.
Is the NN3DS going to have the same charger hole as the 3DS oneI'd be in for downloading a battle frontier because it's so easy to cheese that stuff these days with Entrainment Durant, Mega Kangaskhan, and Speed Boost Blaziken.
It will include a basic self-branded Micro SD card. It just won't include a charger.
Yes it will and already has.Is the NN3DS going to have the same charger hole as the 3DS one
