What does the first silver one, the "2 balls" look like to youFor some reason I have the urge to buy a bunch of blank white faceplates and just draw my own designs on them... OR buy a bunch for meeting Nintendo employees and game developers and have each of them sign a different set of plates.

Nope, Dr.Mario is the one the sneaked in at the last minute and convinced Sakurai to add Mewtwo.
There has to be more, I mean I like Mewtwo, but $15 for just him, the Mario Kart 8 DLC pack is less, and I get 6 characters from that as well as car parts, and courses. Unless there's more included like maybe another character or 2. Fake, its way to high a price.
Mind you this goes double for the entire board. Please don't let us come back to 30+ "OMG DID YOU HEAR MEWTWO NEWS" threads.Neither I or Spirst will be around tomorrow during the Direct, so if there is Mewtwo news please keep the hype with reason (not that other staff members aren't watching this board).

I thought he was just a quack doctor. Mewtwo probably threatened to stuff him in a master ball or something more Mewtwo like. Sakurai was most likely sick of getting death threats from him for all those years.
If its DLC that you pretty much paid for, then it shouldn't be necessary at all, and would be a huge pain in the ass.

Yes but in mario kart the only difference between the characters is their look and maby the weight for some.. while in super smash bros the characters are more unique and have their own play style. . So while in mario kart u have some kind of skin u pay for u have a whole new thing with a character in smash (i excluded the new courses now cause i think they r the main point on spending money in mk)
