mmm, your thoughts, U-Throw... I had all them too, through the times... Now I think that the 3DS version was a mistake since the start... and that it is however much inferior than WiiU version (and i think it's right). So, a character more or less shouldn't do real differences...in particular if there are technical issues which prevent one version to have that specific character; but from Sakurai's point of view, surely it will be some kind of injustice, and also an awkward solution.
We can't hope too much in the newnintendo3ds. IC exclusive of new3ds, in fact, should be another awkward and unfair solution, because all the people who have the old 3DS/2DS shoul be still left out.
THe only possibility(/ies) should be: now that the team has more time thanks to periodical DLCs, they could find a solution to make IC compatibles with 3DS hardware and/or they could rework completely IC (for example, making Nana more similar to Luma). But then they could be no more ICE CLIMBERS.

There is also another trouble: 3DS can't support 4 IC... but probably WiiU can't support 8 IC!
the solution could be to ban IC from 5-8 Smash. But now the compromises begin to be a bit too many...

personally, I don't like IC very much. But their absence will be ever a strong lack, and will make ever this Smash "incomplete".

However, perhaps we should get over it.
Surely it will be easier if Sakurai gave us Wolf, Lucas, Snake, Squirtle and Ivysaur in exchange :D

I totally see what you're saying. And, in a sense, I agree with you. Under normal circumstances, I would hate to see what I said happen, but the reason I brought up that idea was because the Climbers wouldn't work the 3DS. My reasoning was, "If the Ice Climbers only work on the Wii U, then maybe we should include them as Wii U exclusives, and have a 3DS exclusive character to prevent the 3DS version from seeming deliberately inferior." Of course, one could also say including version specifics to remain "equal" is depriving a fanbase with poor logic behind it, similar to what you said, so we should include the Ie Climbers as Wii U exclusives and just leave the 3DS version be. Its really just going to leave behind a heaping mess no matter how you toss the dice, so perhaps the best idea is to just let the Iceis just sit this one out.
Ugh, I think I'm getting a headache, so I'm just going to leave it there. However, all that said, I completely understand what you're saying and totally respect your opinion.

Edition gets sold out worldwide. I may get the one but I'm not paying the extra $30 for a game I may not like. I didn't like MH3 but I may try the MH4 demo when it comes.

Mega forms may restore a bit of glory to him but when you have Mega Rayquaza surviving Choice Specs Ice Beams and then he one shots you well it ain't pretty.

Just goes to show when Game Freak conjures Poke God's in opposition to Mankind's strongest Pokemon they ever created, Mewtwo always falls short.

None of those Pokemon outclass Mewtwo save for Mega Rayquaza which frankly outclasses everything. It is still an A+ ranking Pokemon on the ubers viability chart. None of the legendary dragons can fulfill as many roles as Mewtwo can and are too slow to take down a healthy Mewtwo before getting taken down first. Mewtwo is also a good revenge killer against Darkrai because Mewtwo is one of the few Pokemon used in Ubers that's faster than Darkrai. Heaven help Darkrai if its Mewtwo Y since it will be forced to fight honestly against an even faster and stronger Mewtwo. Mewtwo's move pool, speed, offensive stats, and surprising durability make Mewtwo effectively timeless unless Gamefreak goes full stupid like with Mega Rayquaza.

As long as we get compensation for their absence, its good. though I wish we had some kind of pic of the day thing to keep us occupied. Pic of the day really made the wait for smash bros that much easier.

DLC is another matter entirely, of course, and he obviously decided he would work in that context. He wanted to focus on higher-priority characters beforehand. I doubt he was consciously lying, more so making a decision for the base game and then allowing the dev team have more freedom to do what they want for DLC.

aura sphere works well on darkrai though. >w< plus mewtwo has a massive movepool to cope with most of the other legendaries.

I agree with you although I am against the hacking part. I just don't like the idea of messing with Nintendo's work via hacking. I never have been big on hacking. As I said before, I want to see some more DLC eventually even if they just tweaked current characters to bring back old ones, like Lucas, Young Link(if they gave him some mask-based moves), or Wolf. Especially Lucas because the MOTHER fan base needs all of the attention it can get.

Speaking of dreams, is it weird that months before the announcement of the New 3DS I kept having dreams about owning a second 3DS which (in my dreams) was very similar yet was implied to be better than my old 3DS? It's almost as if Nintendo has been subliminally advertising through my dreams...

Also at the mention of dreams. Sheer Force Feraligatr please. Also I want to Mega Evolve my Druddigon(the 2nd best Dragon ever) into a Steel Dragon because why not. The only Steel Dragon we have is Dialga and I can't use that in Maison.

I dunno why I love Druddigon. I just do. And the thing just wrecks stuff if some dummy pulls a trick room on me. Because that speed. Which is why I purposely have a Flawed Speed Stat and a Brave nature on mine. It's awesome.

Then again Life Force Druddigon might be better then a Mega since you only have 3 weaknesses and you are mono type and you can kill any non legendary Fairy with Gunk Shot pretty much. And if a Mawile shows up you can just Fire Punch it and it just dies.

Now on to Giratina which is the best Dragon ever will probably not get a Mega since it has Origin Forme. But if GF proves me wrong and we get a Mega Ray Upgrade on Giratina I'm all for it since Giratina is my favorite Pokemon of all time. And it has the best battle theme too. And like Dialga it has a unique typing of Ghost/Dragon. Which no other Pokemon has. Which appeals to me.

I was actually saving up my money to upgrade to a 3DS XL over the month of October. A few days before my pay check, A Japanese Nintendo direct was about to air, and announced the New 3DS being launched over there, surprised I went to look further into this and a few days later an Australian Nintendo direct was announced! Saying that we'd be sharing the same release as the Japanese version. So I waited a few weeks instead to grab the New 3Ds model instead!

3.) Is pixel density a real problem in XL models? Is 3D better in XL or on the New 3DS?

[collapse=]I've already said alot about the little niggles about the New 3DS on my previous quote so I don't have much to say.

As for whether or not to get the New 3DS, it all depends on what's going to be launched for the New 3DS exclusively.
If you are about to be a first time owner, or thinking of upgrading for the reg to XL, it may be best to wait for the New 3DS as there might not be a reason to purchase the older model 3DS, especially if the price is like Aus/NZ where they cost about the same!

However if you're happy with your current 3DS situation, it may be better to wait for a touch until there are a bunch of games that interest you, of when your store puts them on special as the old 3DS will remain viable for quite some time past the New 3DS launch.[/collapse]

I hate hacking too, it isn't the true product. Its just troubling when that may be your only hope to play as that character, Sakurai has not given us a strong enough reason to hope for DLC, that time will come when Sakurai makes it official. When someone hacks smash bros to add in characters, its a message to Sakurai that he ****** up.
However some **** ups aren't as bad as others, for example if someone hacks in an obscure newcomer, that's not as bad as say hacking in a highly requested newcomer (which will most likely happen),but the worst is when cut veterans must be hacked in simply so they can be All Stars. Smash Bros is the gathering of Nintendo's All Stars,but when a character is cut, its like saying they're no longer a Nintendo All Star. When DLC was announced, to me it meant cut characters can become All Stars again, and that there may never have to be another cut again, no one will ever have to suffer like Mewtwo had to, ever again. Sakurai's a hard working man, he puts his life into the game, and he suffers the pains because of it, however when a fan loses what they've grown attached to for 6 years, it hurts, I had to accept the loss of Waluigi in Mario Kart 7, I couldn't do anything about it, there was no DLC, I wanted to hack it to make the game perfect. I actually wanted to get an action replay, and shove it in my new 3DS just to get a character back, as it was the only way to get him back since it wasn't capable of DLC. However I didn't do this and simply just left the game. However I accepted it, there was nothing I could truly do to get Waluigi in Mario Kart 7.
I then was able to get into all the other wonderful games Nintendo released from then until E3 2013, when Smash Bros was officially revealed. I naturally had dreams of newcomers,but would be just fine with keeping all my old characters from brawl. I eagerly awaited the pic of the day, hoping one of my mains would be confirmed and I could breath a sigh of relief. My mains were, Wario, Wolf, Captain Falcon, Ganondorf, ROB, and Mr Game and Watch. My most requested newcomers were Waluigi, Dillon, and Sami. I got a brutal deconfirmation of Waluigi, yet I got over it, I got a deconfirmation of Dillon, but I was happy he got the recognition as a smash bros assist trophy. My two most requested newcomers were deconfirmed before even one of my mains was confirmed. At E3 I was teased with Game and Watch,but grew happy when a new Starfox game, which had Wolf in it was announced at E3. It meant my second main was relevant. Then in July I saw one of the best newcomer trailers ever, one that confirmed my third main at the time Captain Falcon. I was so happy to finally have a main in the game, I immediately began practicing hard with him in preparation for the new smash bros.
All was fine and dandy until a leak occurred which leaked the initial roster, however when I first saw it I was happy, because it had Wario,Ganondorf,ROB, and Mr Game and Watch in the initial roster, and said that Wolf will be DLC. As long as Wolf was going to be in the game as DLC, I was satisfied, however that M**********r lied about the DLC, plunging everyone into insanity that there were this many cuts without a satisfactory roster. We held hope that maybe just maybe there were more characters, however on the Japanese release a Wolf trophy was the first things shown in the first 10 minutes of the game. That night was probably one of the worst nights ever. So I joined smashboards to see if I could find evidence that Wolf would be in, I found some convincing evidence and I waited for the 50 fact extravaganza. To all our joy Mewtwo and DLC was confirmed.
The unjustified brawl cut was rectified, however now there were more cuts that needed to be rectified vs the amount back in brawl. I tried to rally up supporters figuring a large amount of demand would get them to do DLC, along the way I decided to try and help out the other cut veteran Lucas who was also cut, by supporting his return. However things just got harder, upon getting the Wii U version I saw a codec on Lylat Cruise that back in brawl hinted at Wolf and Falco being playable, however what I saw was my second main reduced to this atrocity,

A mockery, a less detailed mockery of a character who looked better in the previous non HD game, not to mention a custom move for Fox blatantly named Wolf Flash and 3 renditions of Star Wolf's theme in the game. What was this, none of the cuts in brawl had to endure a fate this horrid. At worst they were trophies and maybe had their theme as a single track,no this is all that combined and to a whole new level. Not to mention after reading Sakurai's interviews about how characters in franchise with new games coming out have a better chance at getting in than those who don't makes his exclusion even more baffling, not to mention how upsetting the cut of Lucas was too, here was a character whom we grew attached to in Subspace Emissary, and became the sole reason why many people wanted Mother 3 localized and got into it. Now that character that made its way into the hearts of many, is cut.
However there is a solution to fix this, DLC. However Sakurai is hesitant to do more DLC. He fears people will think he's withholding content by releasing it as DLC, however I'd argue that simply not doing DLC that fans are requesting and that you're fully capable of doing feels more like withholding content. At least people have the option to buy DLC, Some will buy it regardless of price, and some may not buy it because of the price. However you find a reasonable price, Nintendo has been really good with DLC as of late. Sakurai is also in pain and stress, he has gone through alot to make the game, and is tired and in pain, however he is not the only one in pain, many fans who lost their characters are waiting in agony just for their confirmation. Sakurai can simply confrim them and make the fans happy as well as himself, by knowing he is pleasing his fans for bringing back their characters, Sakurai can feel good about himself, that he is working his *** off even more to please more fans. However Sakurai is not the most logical person, he has done such questionable acts as hyping a highly requested character up, only to deconfrim him as a boss in the end.
This act was a bit unjustified, and may unfortunately be too late to rectify, however some of the character cuts, particularly Wolf,Lucas,Squirtle,Ivysaur,Young Link,Roy, Pichu, and to some extent Ice Climbers, and Snake can all come back as DLC. Sakurai has expressed his dislike for cutting characters, stating that every character has fans, however when DLC shows its self as the solution to never cutting a character again, Sakurai hesitates with it, and claims he doesn't have plans beyond Mewtwo at the given time (late November/early December 2014) What are we hoping for? We are in the dark, just hoping he'll do more DLC. Just doing 1 character, no matter who it is will be a slap in the face to every other cut character. Of Wolf,Lucas,Squirtle,Ivysaur,Young Link,Roy, Pichu, and to some extent Ice Climbers, and Snake, at least 2 of these characters should also be in the works as DLC. I cannot stand for Sakurai to just to shrug off the answer to bringing back cut veterans without having to wait for a new smash bros.
At first mention of character DLC, he should have said, "Mewtwo is the first, I have plans to bring back other cut veterans as well,but I won't reveal who yet, so stay tuned" we would have been happy because we would have had the hope for our cut veterans to return, know that Sakurai truly does care for his fans, and make Sakurai happier knowing he's sacrificing himself for the good of his loyal fans, however to our knowledge he hesitates. A wise animal once said "When there is a solution is sitting right in front of you, you would immediately take hold of it, You don't hesitate, just act." We are in the dark, we don't know what lies ahead,we can attempt to do something, but ultimately Nintendo and Sakurai are the ones making the game, we can only hope they see the light.

Sorry to go into a long paragraph, but now we must all stand together for more veteran DLC, so that we can take action to prevent another veteran from ever having to be permanently cut from a Smash Bros game ever again. If possible possibly get some newcomers alongside the veterans to rake in the profit for Nintendo. No veteran left behind.

However some **** ups aren't as bad as others, for example if someone hacks in an obscure newcomer, that's not as bad as say hacking in a highly requested newcomer (which will most likely happen),but the worst is when cut veterans must be hacked in simply so they can be All Stars. Smash Bros is the gathering of Nintendo's All Stars,but when a character is cut, its like saying they're no longer a Nintendo All Star. When DLC was announced, to me it meant cut characters can become All Stars again, and that there may never have to be another cut again, no one will ever have to suffer like Mewtwo had to, ever again. Sakurai's a hard working man, he puts his life into the game, and he suffers the pains because of it, however when a fan loses what they've grown attached to for 6 years, it hurts, I had to accept the loss of Waluigi in Mario Kart 7, I couldn't do anything about it, there was no DLC, I wanted to hack it to make the game perfect. I actually wanted to get an action replay, and shove it in my new 3DS just to get a character back, as it was the only way to get him back since it wasn't capable of DLC. However I didn't do this and simply just left the game. However I accepted it, there was nothing I could truly do to get Waluigi in Mario Kart 7. I then was able to get into all the other wonderful games Nintendo released from then until E3 2013, when Smash Bros was officially revealed. I naturally had dreams of newcomers,but would be just fine with keeping all my old characters from brawl. I eagerly awaited the pic of the day, hoping one of my mains would be confirmed and I could breath a sigh of relief. My mains were, Wario, Wolf, Captain Falcon, Ganondorf, ROB, and Mr Game and Watch. My most requested newcomers were Waluigi, Dillon, and Sami. I got a brutal deconfirmation of Waluigi, yet I got over it, I got a deconfirmation of Dillon, but I was happy he got the recognition as a smash bros assist trophy. My two most requested newcomers were deconfirmed before even one of my mains was confirmed. At E3 I was teased with Game and Watch,but grew happy when a new Starfox game, which had Wolf in it was announced at E3. It meant my second main was relevant. Then in July I saw one of the best newcomer trailers ever, one that confirmed my third main at the time Captain Falcon. I was so happy to finally have a main in the game, I immediately began practicing hard with him in preparation for the new smash bros. All was fine and dandy until a leak occurred which leaked the initial roster, however when I first saw it I was happy, because it had Wario,Ganondorf,ROB, and Mr Game and Watch in the initial roster, and said that Wolf will be DLC. As long as Wolf was going to be in the game as DLC, I was satisfied, however that M**********r lied about the DLC, plunging everyone into insanity that there were this many cuts without a satisfactory roster. We held hope that maybe just maybe there were more characters, however on the Japanese release a Wolf trophy was the first things shown in the first 10 minutes of the game. That night was probably one of the worst nights ever. So I joined smashboards to see if I could find evidence that Wolf would be in, I found some convincing evidence and I waited for the 50 fact extravaganza. To all our joy Mewtwo and DLC was confirmed. The unjustified brawl cut was rectified, however now there were more cuts that needed to be rectified vs the amount back in brawl. I tried to rally up supporters figuring a large amount of demand would get them to do DLC, along the way I decided to try and help out the other cut veteran Lucas who was also cut, by supporting his return. However things just got harder, upon getting the Wii U version I saw a codec on Lylat Cruise that back in brawl hinted at Wolf and Falco being playable, however what I saw was my second main reduced to this atrocity,

What was this, none of the cuts in brawl had to endure a fate this horrid. Now that character that made its way into the hearts of many, is cut. However there is a solution to fix this, DLC. However Sakurai is hesitant to do more DLC. He fears people will think he's withholding content by releasing it as DLC, however I'd argue that simply not doing DLC that fans are requesting and that you're fully capable of doing feels more like withholding content. At least people have the option to buy DLC, Some will buy it regardless of price, and some may not buy it because of the price. However you find a reasonable price, Nintendo has been really good with DLC as of late. Sakurai is also in pain and stress, he has gone through alot to make the game, and is tired and in pain, however he is not the only one in pain, many fans who lost their characters are waiting in agony just for their confirmation. While I read/skimmed enough to get the general idea, it would be a lot easier to read if you split it into paragraphs. With that said, I feel bad for what happened with Wolf's appearance on Lylat Cruise and having one of his moves given to Fox. In the same way, I feel bad for Lucas because some of his moves were somewhat given to Ness with differences. However, with the amount of characters in Smash and the amount of detail that needs to go to each character, I understand that it would be difficult to bring back every character.

Ah memories! Even though I skimmed through it, it still reminded me of my huge script I had planned for my lack of Mewtwo "rant" video that was much larger in size. I did like the new Smash and it's roster, but the lack of Mewtwo was incredibly irritating (whereas Wolf and Lucas I didn't really have any attachment to, but do agree their cuts were unjustified). Before I recorded too much, I found out about the 50 Fact Extravaganza, which was around the horizon and I decided to wait. While watching, I died with the taunt of the Mega Mewtwo X and Y trophy and deconfirmation of the Tower of Smash leak (which I was optimistic towards, mostly for Mewtwo, but had some doubts about it in it's entirety), but my spirits were lifted (to put it shortly and mildly) when Mewtwo was FINALLY confirmed to return! Now a good 10-30 minute long video and all the files associated with it were deleted, as I didn't need them anymore. I'll definitely do a video later on discussing the whole "Possible DLC Veterans and Newcomers," ordeal, but I'm going to wait a little while on that one.
