We'll see what happens when the time comes around. There's a few CTers that could offer housing..Yo Cort. You gonna show at the CT one?
Lance and I plan to attend the CT East Qualifer. Any chance of us getting housing? ^_^
more variety =/= more strategy and DEFINITELY =/= more enjoymentMoar stages ftw. I'm all for canning this recent "get stages down to as few as possible" stuff. More variety, more strategy, and more enjoyment.
get ar, lern 2 palybattlefield has that really gay ledge
BTW, what's this I hear about MLG dropping Smash? That wouldn't be cool, but then again, I hear people being on the MLG pro circuit is what lowered SSBM's credibility in some players eyes.
Question.
So whoever wins the SSBM Tournament at EVO - are they considered the newest "World Champion" of Smash? Because EVO is partaken globally, so basically, the cream of the crop will arrive from Europe, Japan, USA, etc., and not necessarily those that have had access to MLG Tournaments in the past.
Who knows, maybe Daigo will rip up the entire scene, and shake the entire SSBM community to its core. Would love to see that happen, as it means a huge burst in players absolutely perfecting their game for future EVO Tournaments, if it happens. *crosses fingers*
the ken vs chun-li fight? if it is, it was crazyEvery time I hear Evo I think of that crazy parrying sh*t the street fighter guy did. (Cant think of his name right now)
about 30 japanese came last year for EVO world finals for fighting games, and I'm sure effort will be made to get them to come for smash. Japan year last won GGXX/, 3S, and CvS2. Expect them to be back in full force in those games as well as a new game, VF5.I don't know if "the cream of the crop" from Japan/Europe would be able to come for an EVO but there's always a chance. A lot of them couldn't even attend FC6/OC2 because of money most likely or work in some cases. So if they can get the money somehow then it would raise their chances.
That clip tripled the popularity of 3rd strike. Unfortunately, It also presented the fallacy that parrying everything is a good thing, Daigo only parried b/c he HAD to, he would have died from chip damage if he blocked the super.Yup, that's what comes to most people's minds when they think of Evo. I went and watched that clip on YouTube as soon as I had heard that Smash was announced for Evo.
Free registrtion for the tourneys themselves, 10$ "door fee" it seems like. All games have 1000$ prize "Pool". Which probably means 700/ 200/ 100, unless they dole out more places.I'm confused about prizes. Which is it, $1000 or a percentage of entry fees? The website makes it seem like it is just a percentage.
lol3rd strike money matches anyone?

PC, you say you're going to try to make it to all of them? that includes South? If so I am going to house you. You have no choice in the matter.Even if the prizers arent MLG calibur its aight. This will be a good experience no matter what , u gotta remember when mlg started with smash the prizes were extremely low too even tho they got ridiculously high in 3 seasons . Either way imma try to attend them all.
Renegade do u think teams would be included? or will it just be singles >_>
