Because maybe he accidently just moved his control-stick to the blastzone and the laser was simple coincidence... or he still had some momentum going for him...

When you rewatch it on the Wii you can actually see that the laser has got some knockback.
I need to get it up in better quality.

all I can remember is that he's been VERY patient and worked really hard to win an international since I have moved here and known him.
