Or even better, go to custom difficulty and set everything in your favour (max damage dealt to enemies, minimum received from enemies and so on), which is the method I used.
I think it's really neat that they added Overdrive into XC2 even if it's not as complex (or viable) as XCX. And the fact that they gave her so many optional party chats (and made it a big part of her affinity chart) shows that they still have plans for XCX.

It's all about the reveal trailer. Nintendo wants to announce stuff on their terms. Companies like radical fish might be forced to sign a NDA to make up an excuse on why the game isnt going to happen. On another note, I hope those hedgehags are secret enemies you can summon

I mean, that's literally what I've been saying for months: That this supposed "deconfirmation" of an X port was just standard PR talk that neither confirms nor denies anything being in the works. But considering that "X port would be expensive to make, Tetsuya Takahashi states" doesn't make as good a headline as "PORT OF XENOBLADE CHRONICLES X TO SWITCH NEVER EVER HAPPENING!!!", and that people still are intent on making X out to be the black sheep in the series
If I had a rough estimate I'd say an announcement trailer during the next direct if it's in March, then a release date trailer (plus Elma smash reveal) during E3.
Watch them release a teaser trailer leading all of us to believe it's an X port for the Switch, and then suddenly... XCX2, coming summer 2020 as a Wii U exclusive (joking but please XCX2 I beg you Takahashi don't just end it there)
At least during E3.

Each clone seals one part of the party gauge. Without any cheese tactics using Corvin spam, I would say get a Seal Reinforcement combo on main Elma so that she can't summon any more with Ghost Factory (she'll still do it but nothing will happen) and then kill the clones and either whittle down main Elma with fusion combos to get a nice DoT on her and revive your teammates if they die of if you have an Orb Master you can use them to make orbs without fully completing a Blade combo and therefore not ruining the Seal Reinforcement and then you can just Chain Attack her. I reccomend bringing T-elos since she can Seal Reinforcement AND gets really strong each time she finishes off a clone/a driver on your team dies while she's out.
Defeat her Ghostwalker clones. One clone locks one segment of the party gauge.
I doubt that they'd add this sort of thing in a port. If anything, they'd focus on it in a X2 - and if they do, I really hope that they don't go for the romantic angle with it. There being no love story subplot was one of the things that I just really enjoyed about X's story, and I'd prefer it if they kept it that way. Doesn't help that romances in the games' main stories were always meh to me at best.

Me too. I really hope that it turns to be a very close friendship between soldiers who respect and admire each other. I'm bored of all the love stories we see in gaming, why can't we have complex and deep friendships between male and female characters, something like Otacon and Snake or Lupin III and Jigen? Those are way more interesting than another couple in love.

You can set the difficulty to custom, lower all the settings that assist the enemies to its lowest settings while set your groups buffs to their highest. Makes the fight easier.
Redux still gave me trouble even on custom tho
I think you're also missing a important adjective for Elma. Almost spoilers territory but an important one.
I like Sylvalum's theme more, especially at night <3 every other continent's day theme is more dramatic and the night theme more chill, but it's the inverse for Sylvalum and it WORKS
The Sylvalum night theme is one of the best songs in X, IMO. With that being said, Cauldros' theme is dramatic regardless of the time of day; it's never chill per se.I like Sylvalum's theme more, especially at night <3 every other continent's day theme is more dramatic and the night theme more chill, but it's the inverse for Sylvalum and it WORKS

Man, it's hard enough that I support both Elma (especially since I haven't played X) and Rex, which leads me straight to the center of the conflict, but now the vocal minority is trying to make one of them look bad? Why do I have to go through this!? I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!!!!!!!

Pretty much everyne feel this for their favorite pick. Nothing new, we have no reason to be against them. Plus some of us support both with a tiny preference. But yeah not a single community has to be as cancer as the Waluigi fanbase.
I have never played any of the Xenoblade games, but it's really annoying to me when Xenoblades fans and non fans pretend or don't know that X and Elma exists. How could anyone overlook someone as awesome as Elma? Of course Rex & Pyra are the more popular and known pick, but that shouldn't mean Elma should get toss aside for them just because they came from a more successful game. We can live in a world where Elma and Rex & Pyra are in Smash so in that way everybody wins.
Honestly the Xenoblade fanbase has been split since X released though. I got witchhunted by hostile X fans for prefering the original Xenoblade for example.(and my complaints are not the things X haters troll you guys with, but more stuff like the handling off the party system)
