5 so far. I have 2 televisons (might be able to get a third one but only if I go home this weekend). So I need between 2 and 3 televisions. And more setups are always a plus!!!

He agrees that luigi should probably be banned. We both are considering sheik and wolf. Many felt samus to be overpowered. However, tourney results don't indicate that. He feels that while samus may be annoying, she is not overpowered in low-tiers. Being annoying isn't ban worthy. If you have some input, that would be greatly appreciated.

yeah wolf and luigi were the 2 I was concerned about but now I don't really think they're that bad...me vs shady was game 3 last hit when I was trying. and I picked up ike like a week ago and just played wifi a bunch...and then beat werk's samus. so if anything ban ike lol

well I personally don't want to ban sheik because I love using her. But I can't let that affect my decision. If wolf stays, sheik has. She is the only one who balances him (from what I have gathered on the character boards). No I refuse to let in other characters outside of the tier list and forbid them to use their moves. That's just stupid. And if Zelda is allowed and sheik is allowed, I don't see how you could ban someone from using them both in the same game. I don't believe you can ban a character's move.

No one is gonna stop me from using Zelda's best move ;) down b

But I'm just trying to be fair. There was some noise raised over the efficacy of the last low-tier tourney in regards to luigi and wolf. A few people raised questions about sheik. Many raised questions about Samus too. But after seeing tourney results I see those to be unfounded.

I personally would like to not ban any character from a low-tier tourney but I don't think it is right to have a low-tier tourney where 1 character dominates the rest. Luigi seems a little overpowered for a low-tier tourney. Wolf......ehhh.......not so much. I don't really have a problem with wolfs. But I guess that's because I main a low-tier and get to fight wolfs with her a lot anyway. The only reason I'm considering him is because others were concerned about the efficacy of the event because of him. I recall 1 or 2 people vehemently saying that there is no way sheik should even have been in this past tournament considering she is way misplaced on the tier list. While I do believe she is misplaced, I'm not entirely convinced she is ban worthy.

That's why this is up for discussion. Right now it seems most of NC that is discussing this is against any ban. This strikes me as peculiar considering how much talk I heard at the last tourney. If you had a problem with certain characters being in the low-tier tourney you need to raise your voice. Otherwise, no bans will be made. I know TKbro made a few valid points. I wish he would comment here and let you all know what he saw.

But do please continue to discuss this.

there is a low tier. We just decided to include the low end of the middle tier so as to increase the available characters to choose from. The problem is that when you eliminate all the high tier characters, the tier list changes. And thus you get a character that is in the low tier because he/she has all his/her bad match ups with high tier characters but easily dominates every other character. That's the issue with luigi and, to some extent, wolf and sheik.

But it seems as if NC is for no bans. In which case there won't be.

I have been waiting my whole life to hear those words!!!! I definitely will do these if people show up on time. We should have plenty of setups to do it. The major time constraint will be whether people are willing to show up on time. Like I said in the OP I don't want to DQ anyone for being late to tourney. That's just not me. I understand problems happen or time constraints make it impossible. But unfortunately, that means the tourney gets pushed back.

But if by some miracle everyone does show up on time, then certainly, low-tier doubles will happen. And I don't think any character should be banned from doubles regardless of what is decided for singles.
