None of your business dude. Like Rookie, I also have priorities outside of smash. I shouldn't even be playing the d@mn game but I do because I like you guys. I have my future to worry about, and the reason I want to go to CoT4 is to meet all these players from other states. Otherwise I have to worry about my career and try to do well enough so I can do what I want with my life instead of being left with nothing but being good at a videogame.

Sorry doom...some people just need to understand where I'm coming from. My parents aren't bad people either just because they don't let me travel to florida, texas, and wherever for a videogame tournament.

Congratulations? We don't all have the same parents. Some have different views on things. Smash isn't my number one priority now, and I have freedoms to do what I want, but I also have responsibilities, and playing Smash isn't one of them.

Yes is very right in how he rationalizes his priorities. I agree whole heartedly in this. You can't really make a career out of being good at videogames unless you're M2k (not to be mean). I think going to tournaments is more of a social thing. A hobby. Not a life choice. There has to be something else other than video games to make money for a future.

I might bring a friend with me who wants to learn smash too. I honestly have no real idea how to teach her how to do much of anything so right now I'm just playing snake and blowing up EVERYTHING so she can learn to air dodge shield and avoid attacks properly.

Not really. Read the first page King.

Be warned: There are NO trains that come through West Milford, and there isn't a bus stop within walking distance of my place. However, if you can get a bus here and call somebody who's already there, there's a good chance that they'll pick you up from the bus stop for free/a small price, but I can't speak on their behalf. This means that getting here by methods other than by car can be difficult. I strongly suggest that you try to carpool with someone from your area who's going.
