For Spirits, I'd love me some Lobotomy Corporation/Library of Ruina, because that has a snowball's chance in hell of getting playable content. I'd like music the most, but eh, what can you do. Also, if Ace Attorney and Puyo Puyo don't get a playable character, I'd rather get a few Spirits than nothing at all. And an Undertale event to match the Sans costume, of course.

For Costumes, Cadence and the Knight come to mind as PreMiium, but Klonoa would be neat too.

Not just a crafter - I'd argue that he leans closest to a brawler. Yes, he has a sword... however: it's short-ranged but very fast, so not really a swordie in the traditional sense. The character wants to be up close and personal in neutral to deal damage (outside of Minecart, the Rod grab and his traps). Sakurai openly said in Steve's presentation that several attacks are meant to be chain (combo) attacks. Most notably Up Tilt / Up Air: that one is particularily (in)famous amongst the competitive crowd because it can lead to highly damaging chains at low % (provided the Steve uses blocks and Up Smashes alongside the Up Tilt and Up Airs).

Steve has a lot of traps too: D-Tilt and Down Smash are dangerous for opponents at the edge, Up Smash has quick startup and can catch aerial approaches, while TNT and Anvil are more standard traps.

Leaning towards that, yes. There's a chance that an already represented series gets another fighter, yes, but we'll simply have to see if that's the case or not.

I do think they try to avoid having too much overlap between character archetypes, but you have to be careful putting labels on characters that are too comprehensive. Like, technically Banjo and Terry are both brawlers, but beyond hitting opponents with their fists they share nothing else in common. I think it only matters when there are a lot of similarities between two characters, for example I don't think Crash was ever happening in FP1 after Banjo was revealed, because they share a lot of their appeal (3D platformers, late 90s, western, cartoony animals).

As for Steve, what characterizes him isn't necessarily any one of his moves, but the combination of everything. It's difficult to find an archetype similar to him, probably Villager is the closest on the roster because of his similar ability to just pull out all sorts of different things out of thin air. I'm not sure what word would best describe him, but he's certainly nothing like Min Min or Sephiroth.

Pyra's design is really not anymore revealing than Zero Suit Samus' ending outfits. If ZSSamus' costumes did not pose a issue, it will hardly affect Pyra. Like they might make the shorts slightly bigger, but otherwise, if there's no issue with ZSSamus' showing skin, there won't be an issue with Pyra showing skin.

Nah I think Pyra would be a little more problematic, or for consistency.

Style Savvy is hella underrated in terms of first parties, it's the kind of series that never dies so we could get a new entry any day now. While understandably not the kind of character that people are hoping to get, I think most would take to a fashionista duking it out with the Smash cast.

If you aren't sold yet, just listen to Ring a Ding. Nobody can resist the chance to get more bangers like that.

I bet we could see one more pass, just one more pass with three more characters and one individual character. We gotta fill in those spots on the character select screen somehow.

But to answer your question, It's more likely the last three characters of this pass are going to be coming from new series. While Sephiroth was brought in as a way to get more Final Fantasy content, I'm not sure there is any reason for Nintendo to ask for another Street Fighter rep unless they wanted to represent the new Street Fighter games.

As far as current speculation goes over the identity of the last 3 characters, this is what my current thoughts are:

There are 4 main companies who're worth keeping eyes on-Capcom, Bandai Namco, Koei Tecmo, and Activision

For Bandai Namco, Lloyd Irving and KOS-MOS are the potential frontrunners. With Koei Tecmo, it's Hayabusa. Capcom's either Phoenix Wright or Dante going off the fact that Monster Hunter would require more than one voice slot. Crash is obviously for Activision. All of the characters mentioned have significant legacies to their respective companies.

and the identity of FP9 is likely going to be revealed and released in March around the time of the next Smash amiibo wave

I actually love Spirit battles so I'd say Bloodstained, Hades and Celeste to name a few but I would absolutely adore Blind Prince and Liar Princess spirits over all else, an absolutely underrated gem even if the entire game is a 2 hour long escort mission making it a hard sell

Yep. I was thrilled to death when Goemon got a Mii costume because never did I thought in a million years that Goemon would appear in any form in Smash especially as something like a Mii costume. To me, the thought of something like that for him was a pipedream yet it happened. I hope Marina get's a Mii costume too in the future.

Something I've noted is that Spirit Events that introduce new spirits seem to always be geared around brand-new/upcoming releases, so I took that into consideration. Also, several of the Mii costumes are characters I'd prefer to see as fighters, but kept on the list for completion's sake.

• Hollow Knight (promoting Silksong)
• Deltarune
• BOTW2 (assuming we at least get some info on characters from it before spirit events end)

Mii Costumes

• Quote (Cave Story) as Gunner

• Kaeru (Kero Blaster) as Gunner (would probably only happen if Quote got in)
• Reimu (Touhou) as Swordfighter or Gunner (if she didn't become a fighter)

• The Knight (Hollow Knight) as Swordfighter
• Cadence (Crypt of the NecroDancer) as Swordfighter

Third party - aside from the events for Lobotomy Corporation, Undertale, and if they're not playable, Ace Attorney and Puyo Puyo like 3BitSaurus mentioned; and the Darkest Dungeon one I mentioned earlier; I'd like to see Trauma Center spirits if we can't get a rep. Maybe also... a random Vault Boy spirit to go with the costume, NMH event to also go with Travis's costume, and maybe Hyperdimension Neptunia even though they'd have to censor the frick out of Green Heart

I really don't give that much of a damn about Spirit Events, to be honest. Mii Costume, on the other hand... yeah, I got a few of those:

• A Gex Mii Brawler would be amazing, especially if it came with bangers like these!
• Indies are a veritable goldmine for Mii Costumes in Smash: Shovel Knight, Shantae, Quote, Iji, Zetterburn/Orcane, Yooka & Laylee, Miriam and so many others would be amazing as Mii Costumes. But the one I think I'd most like would be Madeline from Celeste. Celeste is a great game and it's soundtrack is incredible.
• Klonoa or Ty would be great additions to the Mii Costume line-up as well.

I am once again asking if the dataminers found any changes to the amount of fighter_kind_xxx slots. Not expecting a Brave repeat, just wanna know if the amount is the same or if it’s changed
