Unless you have insider information like me.
I can't say who it is yet, but I will say that it starts with a "G" and ends in "e".

This has been a 100% serious post.
Wait!

Sgt. Cortez! This is a trick answer and you actually mean second to first letter and second to last letter!

Okay but it's still not a remake. It's an entirely new game with entirely new gameplay systems. It's also still a Generation 8 title since Generation 9 isn't here yet, and Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield aren't exactly new anymore. I don't think it's that farfetched for them to pick Pokémon Legends Arceus if they were to promote a Pokémon title due to it being the most relevant new game in the series.
Sword and Shield will still be the primary game for competitive.

At least we are getting the playstation showcase this week, which might feature gameplay for the next God of War, and Warioware Get it Together comes out this week as well.

Look on the bright side, it's not that bad that we have to wait another week for the direct, there are still other things to look forward to this week.

Perhaps, but competitive gameplay was never the main draw, and while they have been catering to the competitive players more over the years, they still aren't using it as a selling point from what I've seen. Promoting the newer game (as they have been doing) also doesn't really hurt the scene any because if Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be the main competitive format, then the competitive players aren't really going to go anywhere regardless of where the majority of the eyes are in the series.

I really don't think the location of the competitive scene is going to influence a Pokémon character getting into Super Smash Bros., especially when it could be highly beneficial to promote the newer game in the series, as it's trying something very different than normal while still passing itself off as a mainline title.

It's set in an old region, and Smash always promotes the new gens. The only representation we have of the remakes are Red and Leaf using their FRLG designs, two remixed tracks from ORAS, and the Partner Pikachu and Eevee spirits.
Technically it's still a new region to us, the players, because it's the past version of Sinnoh before it was called Sinnoh, and it will be massively different from Diamond and Pearl, so it's really not comparable to remakes like ORAS and LGPE or literally any remakes at all.

That's a curious thing for you to say, and a curious way to phrase it. Even though that could simply be a sophisticated joke or you could have been given bad info.

Perhaps you'd be willing to share evidence of your insider status? Nothing that would compromise your identity, but perhaps something only an insider would have?

Oh no evidence from me. I like to keep things vague and mysterious; it keeps people intrigued and guessing.

Insider's code, ya'know?

Although, ryuryunonoroi ryuryunonoroi

couple days ago you mentioned something about tweets being deleted and something about “her”, that “she” will get her time to shine

not to be a bother but what were you referring to?

Which is total B.S. Waluigi was created to be Wario's partner. There's no good reason to leave him out of Wario's games.
My assumption (or a headcanon I’ve seen someone else bring up, IDK) is that Waluigi just doesn’t care about Wario’s other money making ventures. Like, his interests are sports, kart racing, and board games. Just because he’s best-greedy-buds with someone doesn’t mean that he is going to get involved with everything they do. He’ll go on treasure hunting adventures with Wario… but only if there’ll be tennis or golf or whatever involved.

Hmmm... I can't seems to find either of those tweets from the producer OR the lead artist. Maybe they were told to scrub them? Yet another piece of evidence for her grand re-entry.

Stick it through to the end...

And there is a very good reason why that is if CP11 is who I think it is.

How about if I say it ironically? What happens then?
I’m referring to this post, by the way

Alrighty then. I'll humbly take that L if you'll humbly explain the joke.
"I'm a leaker"

"Btw I'm 100% truthful no really I am."

We've been in this leak show business for 10+ years now c'mon man :239:
Ye. I'm just parodying leakers for kicks and giggles. I wasn't convinced that the joke didn't land with you. Sorry about that. lol

EDIT: By the way, none of you have correctly guessed the character I was referring to yet. I am disappointed in all of you.
Not really, your answers were funny. I approve. :p

Why didn't Buck Bumble ever take off? Comes to something when Nahobinot is being discussed more than Buck Bumblyes.

Seriously tho, I'm surprised no-one's actually discussed him as a random joke request yet. Goku and Shrek are low fruit, whilst Buck Bumble is the fruit high up that's been left to ripen, who will never rot. This comparison actually works somewhat well as Buck Bumble is a bee actually.

Just tell us, is Buck Bumble from the actually real and totally legit hit Ubisoft game that used some weird N64 add-on IIRC, Buck Bumble in the game?
Yes. Buck Bumble is in the actually real and totally legit hit Ubisoft game that used some weird N64 add-on IYRC.

Wait. Buck Bumble isn't a real game? What's next? Crow 64 isn't a real game?

I don't want to be the one to have to spread to the masses, the info, that pertains to Buck Bumble not appearing in Super Smash Bros Ultimate™ for the Nintendo Switch™ family of systems?

They probably will, but I don't think they added new characters.

I swear, pigs will fly before Waluigi appears in WarioWare.
It's really not surprising at all. Wario had his own games before Waluigi was created. Waluigi was created as a mario character in the first place. It makes no sense to suddenly start shoehorning him as a Wario character when he hasn't been in Wario's games for so long in the first place.

Wario games before Waluigi:
  • Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
  • Virtual Boy Wario Land
  • Wario Land II
  • Wario Land 3 (came out the same year as Waluigi's debut)
Him appearing in Wario Land 4 and/or Wario Land: Shake It! as an NPC or something wouldn't be nonsensical at all, and he could have appeared in the WarioWare series from the get go. I wouldn't consider either case to be shoehorning him in either. There is no logical reason as to why he isn't in these games.

I feel this way about Wario and Waluigi appearing in mainstream Mario titles.

Because he was a brand new character at that point, and wasn't fully established as Wario's partner. It would still feel like shoehorning to throw a brand new character into his games just because he was created as Wario's partner.

If he was created alongside Wario, an argument could be made that he has to appear in Wario's games. But he really doesn't, he was created for the Mario universe. I want Waluigi to appear in Wario's games too, but there's no reason that he has to.

The only gen they've gone back to and added a character from is Gen 1, and those were exceptions, as Mewtwo was scrapped from the original game while the Pokemon Trainer was devised as a way to represent the human trainers in the game.

That should happen too, but that's not really a problem exclusive those two. The series really should start giving its extended cast at least cameo appearances. Even freaking Luigi isn't guaranteed to appear in a mainline title initially.

Um no, it wouldn't. Just because a character is new doesn't mean that using it is the same as shoehorning it into stuff. If he was created to be Wario's partner then why the heck would it not make sense for him to appear with Wario?

He doesn't have to, the games do exist, but he absolutely should. Waluigi being made for the Mario universe doesn't matter either because so was Wario. The two series may be treated separate at this point but they're still connected.
