Do you guys still think we're getting someone associated with the color purple? Because even though it was debunked, the colors on the Smash site seems to follow similar colors. Even Sephiroth's is a grayish-green.

I started thinking about Frisk having a legitimate shot to end Ultimate. The fact that Undertale has yet to have its own Spirit Event and Sakurai mentioning Toby Fox was at his house playing Smash together when talking about Sans' Mii Costume got me to find Frisk a believable choice for CP11 since Kazuya was revealed. Since the announcement of Vol 2 being in the works came at the same time as Sans' Mii Costume reveal, maybe there was more being discussed for Smash behind the scenes other than just a special Mii Costume.

No. She's my favorite design. She's not elderly. She's not young and skinny. She's around a more middle age with lots of muscles and fighting capability, and underutilized female design in gaming as a whole. She's a progressive and excellently designed character. That's why I like her design the most out of the rest of the Impas.

I very much like her design. At the very least somebody drew a less revealing design for her to use. The original definitely wouldn't work(there's no purple shirt beneath her dress normally).

TBH I've seen some people suggest Paya all of a sudden and would also rather fat Impa in smash. Schooling people as a psychic old lady would be pretty fun lol with her BoTW design.

Changing the subject, but where did Paya discussion start? She's a random NPC in BoTW who doesn't do anything aside from help you unlock like one shrine. They'd literally go with someone like Impa at that point. IDK, I've seen people suggest her and it's just bizarre since she isn't even particularly memorable or even well known so even seeing one person legitimately suggest her for smash is just weird. As an NPC, she breaks the mold a little but she's still a very minor character in BoTW either way.

I'm legitimately curious lol as people are actually suggesting it. Now that I recall it could just be BoTW 2 shill, which is kinda dumb as the timing could not line up worse and BoTW absolutely does not need shilling. Unless its just doomposting, which is just as weird because out of all characters, even from BoTW some random NPC. The person I quoted before (MasterCheef) I've seen suggest it now that I recall and would like to know if there is any actual logic aside from game that doesn't need shilling apparently needing a shilling

Paya's fine, but after seeing how cool young Impa was in Age of Calamity, she just doesn't compare in terms of potential to me.

Oddly enough, I think a re-release of the first two Fallout titles would be a nice surprise to have on Switch. They haven't aged perfectly and there'd be outrage at having them and not 3/New Vegas/4, but there's a fun novelty to getting such cult classic PC titles on a portable console, and given that the system is an RPG machine, they would fit as well as anything.

Yeah, I was waiting for all the DLC to be released before I tried using mods. I'm really excited to try it out in Ultimate. There are already a ton of great mods out there and it will only keep getting better. I am a little worried I won't be able to figure it out properly since I'm a bit bad with technical knowledge like that.

I came into SSBU modding a complete noob - granted, this was also way back in April 2019. In any case, some pointers here, some self-teaching there, and I've been making some really cool stuff! I'm sure you'll be no different, don't worry.

Fake leaks are a mixed bag. On one hand, you get something to talk about and its funny to see an outlandish one get passed over and then turn out to be true. On the other hand, they’re almost always BS and people love to believe them for no reason (not dunking on Theguy btw, as hes made it clear its just a hope he has).

One of the unfortunate ironies is that the Layton series slowed down right as Nintendo was actually getting better at doing overall marketing for more niche/mid tier titles in events like Directs. Not to say that its at the level of an indie, but given that may games in the latter category have done some great business on Switch, one can only wonder how a more steady stream of Layton ports/collections (other than the one we got) might have done in the past four years with a solid showcase in Nintendo presentations.

Thanks for saying. I don't exactly think a series which rarely cracked 10 million units before BoTW needs shilling tho. The best selling Zelda game before BoTW was TP which was 8 million IIRC. BoTW has sold 23 million copies despite originally being attached to the Wii U before they pushed it to Switch. Idk if that needs a shill as much as it is a kneejerk reaction of everything new = smash. No AoC amiibo for Impa makes sense, as there weren't any for the original Hyrule Warriors and Amiibo barely exist outside of smash nowadays. Even then, despite looking similar, Impa and Paya are still different characters. You could make an argument that smash literally sells you amiibos of characters with the echo tag, despite being made to be similar to another character so even if there was any precedence for an AoC Impa amiibo, which there wasn't, then I don't think one not existing bodes well for her either way. The australian leak is probably fake if we're being honest but fair dos i guess and if Impa getting a spirit is a deconfirmer then that probably seals it for any character from Zelda full stop. AoC also had characters in it like Hestu who didn't have an amiibo so unless they wanted to go hardcore on a thing smash is only taking seriously then it's apparent why amiibo support isn't a key feature. Does amiibo support even exist in AoC btw? If so then that shows one didn't have to exist to begin with.

In case you haven't played BoTW, she is a literal NPC. Like those random trainers you encounter in Pokemon games, except you can literally only talk to her. There isn't much moveset potential and she's insignificant even by BoTW'S standards. She may not even return in BoTW2 since she just wasn't that important a character. I'd consider them championing, well, a champion at that point and just choosing one of those, as they're just more marketable, and thats fully considering the fact that BoTW makes sure not to really put any race above each other.

Well the biggest irony for Layton, in terms of Smash, is that he hit his peak mindshare slightly before third-parties became commonplace enough that people would consider him a highly plausible contender. Had it not transpired in the gap between Brawl and 4 and then the early days of 4 spec, he would've been significantly more demanded, but at that point we'd only had Sonic, Snake, and, eventually, Mega Man. Even by the time Pac-Man showed up, iirc, his prevalence was already on the decline.

Not that he lacked popularity, but had it been even a couple years later, he would've been the better for it. Especially keeping in mind that in these days a Nintendo association was critical for popularity, and his ties were as close as any.

Yes, the Heihachi Mii, but Megalovania is basically tied to the hip with Undertale. The lack of spirit event does not really concern me, when a lot of games lack them.
