Since the ending shot of Sephiroth's Final Smash as seen in tonight's POTD is beautiful, what sort of final shot would you want for your most wanted's Final Smash assuming it would be cinematic?
Tetra bombarding her opponent with bombs from cannon fire, then the final shot would be her ramming them st full speed with her pirate ship.

Alternatively, the Heavy (TF2) opening fire on his opponent(s) with aid from his entire team, in a similar vein to Mega Man and his many counterparts.

Honestly? I feel like the best case scenario for a new Zelda rep at this point is Pig Ganon.
FFS, people, Pig Ganon is ALREADY A BOSS. OoT Ganon IS a Pig Ganon.

The only worthwhile distinction is Ganondorf, the man, and Ganon, the pig demon. Both already have a significant presence in Smash Ultimate.

Does Demise not count?

Just wondering what requested characters are you sick of seeing everywhere?
(You know, the ones on people's fighter passes and most wanted list.)
Reimu. Rex.

Does Demise not count?
Hmm, I mean, he's still pretty Ganondorf. Even uses the same VA. But, I suppose you could convince me that's a third significant variation.

But then the argument could be made that a playable Hylia isn't another Zelda, and I ain't down for that.

This line of thinking has always confused me. When people say they no longer want characters because they're talked about so much. What other people request has never really had much bearing on me. I'm not gonna suddenly stop liking Doomguy because a bunch of people also want him. That just sounds like being contrarian for the sake of it.
More accurately, it's called being a hipster.

If it's well known, it ain't cool!

But wasn't the Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword a guise created by Hylia? If so then they actually are the same character...not that that incarnation is the one in Smash, but honestly I wouldn't advocate for adding Hylia anyway.

Ganon/Ganondorf is a physical manifestation of Demise's hatred in the form of a curse though, they're not Demise himself.

Dark Matter's would probably look something like this.

Kirby really need's like 3 new reps
And those three should be the ones in my signature. (:
Yup, the composer for Wario Land: Shake It! said he was provided Wario's Brawl victory theme as a musical reference.
It's weird as Wario has so many victory themes to choose from between the Wario Land, Wario World, and WarioWare games..I don't know why they made an original piece for his..
If that's true, it's very weird that the Waluigi Pinball remix includes that melody.

I think

Bandana dee (reason this is like excluding yosi from shamsh bros, im not going to explain further)
Zero 2 (An actual Kirby villain plus he's the series main antagonist and represents the shimomura ear)
Magalor (The most prominent and popular of the Modern Kirby era)

also give DK Dixie, Metroid sylux, Pikmin Louie (on the titan dweevil of course), Splatoon octoling (unique character using stuff from Splatoon 2), Zelda Impa, Animal crossing Tom Nook and K.K. Slider, add a Rhythm heaven rep, add a Style Savvy rep and Nintendo representation is fixed.

of course none of this will happen buuuuuuuut I can dream.

Ah if we want this to work, we need to start now.

If we start drumming up support by the time a new game rolls is announced, the roster will have already be determined.

That's the whole thing with popularity. It has to be BEFORE the roster is decided.
Tried that
Didn't work.

Honestly I'm just banking on the prerelease buzz he had being what gets him in. And he still performs decently in polls so its not like he's completely dead. But actually getting an on going conversation going comes into the same roadblock of people dismissing assist trophies

On the subject of victory themes, I still can't wrap my head around how for Sonic they opted for anything other than
Because the Sonic 3 & Knuckles one seems to have taken over for the main series for the most part, and also because straight up ripping it from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) was easier than composing a remix of it I guess.

I dunno, it sounds oddly forlorn for a victory theme to me. Different strokes I guess.

They should definitely add the ring sound though imo.

I'm surprised that the Inkling victory theme doesn't continue like Cloud instead of going to the normal smash melody like it does in Splatoon.
Yeah as soon as I learned that was a thing it bothered me that it isn't in Smash.

Ring sound at the end optional

What a missed opportunity
They'll include this theme once they finally add Classic Sonic. People won't complain about Sonic's lack of remixes anymore. :4pacman:

Speaking of victory themes that would have been better:
Followed by this:

They could do the Mega Man 2 one as well but I think the Mega Man 4 one is actually more iconic somehow.

EDIT: They could also just do all the Weapon Get themes and play one at random because they're all really good (well, almost all of them).

Kirby is sort of like Zelda in the sense that if Sakurai started adding these one-shot characters a long time ago, we could've had three or more characters in addition to what we currently have.

Would've been neat to play as various villains, but I think the time for that has long since passed for most of them.

well they are all making a comeback so that's good but the only non main characters I think has a chance are magalor or zero

As already mentioned, the one used from Sonic 3 onward's simply more iconic to the franchise, but I think it's worth noting that Sonic 1 and Sonic 2's OSTs aren't owned by SEGA but by Masato Nakamura, meaning they could have chosen not to have more songs that would need royalties. Alternatively, the victory theme being straight up ported could indicate that they rushed the hell out of everything involving Sonic and not just his moveset

After Bandana Dee, my next choice for Kirby rep would be Magolor. He's the fifth-most recurring character nowadays, having popped up in various recent spinoffs, and he has potential for some fun mixups with his portals and magic.

Third parties having their victory themes directly lifted from their games isn't unique to Sonic. iirc, the same applies to Bayonetta, Joker, Hero, Sephiroth and Steve, too.
