Don't tell X1 this but I don't get why SRB gave the MVP for Halo mafia to X1 when Swiss was basically the ones that carried us, especially considering how I just abandoned the game without warning.

swiss is just that good that he counts for more than one person?

Sooo since DGames is a bit dead I decided to update my little Track Record thing w.r.t. Town/Mafia/Indy wins.

Mafia is still winning handsomely buuuuut slight improvement with a town-streak win that happened. Indies are also a category that have been surprisingly doing really well in the last few months so good on them.

No, but seriously, I just remember that pretty much every single hydra eventually broke apart, with just one person taking over. Your hydra is one of the very few hydras that didn't break apart (and that's mostly because you and Kat have a lot of hydra experience with one another). I wasn't the only one to flake out.

We should add a "Town MVP" or something of the like for games where town as a whole played generally well. It seems to kind of downplay people's play in games where many people did well and town had great unity when it's labeled as No MVP. It's not that important, I just think it would be a good idea. Examples off the top of my head are games like: KvD, GS3, and [the game you have entered does not exist].

Yes. I'm basically just saying I think it would be a good idea for a town that does well together as a whole to be recognized as such in the labels. Like I said it's nothing of important matter. It wouldn't necessarily have to be labeled "Town MVP" seeing that MVP means most valuable player.

No but really it doesn't. Say both factions play bad, there would still be no MVP. Say scum wins, there's generally an MVP in that case unless town just plays bad. And as you said, when someone obviously carries their faction, they receive MVP. So yeah it doesn't change anything.

I think a town mvp would prolly be over rated. like one person would have the reward and would be expected to do well.

As long as ppl recognize it in history, then I think its fine. Like I ask whats a good example of good overall town play, and im told monster island.

Plus mvp gives us a goal to compete for.

There's really no point in seeking to glorify entire town factions because, without fail, you're rewarding someone who didn't deserve it. I challenge you to point me to any game where the entire town is worthy of recognition.

I still disagree with how elite we've made MVP nowadays, though. Judging from the archive, they gave MVPs out like candies and very rarely did they just not award it. Now, it's rare to see someone win MVP in a game, and I really dislike that. There is almost always one player who carries his faction to victory, and it's strange not to see that player rewarded when it happens. Is it because we've become too jaded by familiarity to strategies?

Maybe dice values should be changed. Red can stay at one but make gold 3, 4, or even 5? That would show if someone consistently received MVP, because it should be "most valuable player" not "mafia god of the year" imo.

Agree with Kuz, disagree with Joey. I think it's an award for exceptional performance and should be treated as such. It's not that it is given for being good at mafia, but being good at mafia should be a prerequisite for obtaining it.

Well, yea. What Ryker means is that if you get the dice under Kuz' rules, you're good. If you're bad, you won't get dice. Simply. You won't get dice any time soon according to Kuz' rules because you haven't reached an MVP worthy level yet, and haven't given an MVP performance. I'm good, but just haven't given an MVP level performance yet. Ran's dice are for flawed reasoning (sorry my dude but yes you've gotten better and I shock myself every time I say it) because it was luck from a newbie game, which shouldn't be taken for MVP consideration imo.
