But it's not really a term with much room for interpretation. It means someone who's new. It comes from "newbie", meaning someone who's new at something. It's also used on people who lack skill, disregarding how long they've been doing something. That is a noob.

This is my understanding of the newbie vs noob definition too

Newbie's grow out of their ignorance and become better; noobs have been taught/been told by better players what the higher points of the game are/how to get better, but they just ignore it and think they're the ****

True, but if Anakin had been played by someone even somewhat capable, I think the trilogy could've been redeemed and the script made better - see recent Will Smith movies, I Am Legend in particular - terrible script, but excellent acting made up for it, and a potentially terrible movie was made pretty good (not great, but pretty good)
