Story Mode premise:

While scanning the cosmos for the Anti-Life Equation, Darkseid finds evidence that the Old Gods (specifically the ones whose deaths resulted in the creation of the New Gods) didn't die at all - rather, they fled to a different universe. Wanting to remove any threat to his power, and believing that the Old Gods might have found the Anti-Life Equation, Darkseid travels to the midpoint between New Genesis and Apokolips and forces open a portal to where the Old Gods had vanished to - the Marvel universe.

This causes all sorts of instability between the two universes, causing characters to shift between the two seemingly at random in the beginning. This leads to the sort of standard comic book misunderstandings and fights, but even after they sort things out, the instability and the portals spread further, drawing in alternate versions of the heroes from across the multiverse. (this would allow more hero-vs.-hero fights, since the roster seems to largely consist of heroes - fights like Justice Lord Superman vs. Thor, Superior Spider-Man vs. Nightwing, Superman vs. the Dark Knight Returns Batman, Magneto vs. a version of Magneto where he stayed villainous, etc.

Eventually, it's discovered that Darkseid is keeping the portals open by force with Omega Energy, so the goal becomes finding him and sending him back through a portal. This becomes complicated when he teams up with Thanos - in the game's climax, Thanos tries to use the Soul Stone to steal the soul of a weakened Darkseid, but this backfires, leading to Darkseid's soul merging with Thanos to create Thanoseid.

I figured that Jack Kirby (from the accounts that I read) wanted to do a Ragnarok storyline for Thor and follow it up by introducing the New Gods, and Kirby's Fourth World comics imply that the gods that preceded them were Thor and company, so that seems like a good enough reason to tie the two franchises together.

Story Mode: Infinity Crisis!
Sick of being defeated by the Avengers and the Justice Legaue, Darkseid and Thanos's quests for the Infinity Stones and the Anti-Life Equation has led them to the same point in space time. This causes the Multiverse to split open as the Marvel and DC universe begin to fuse. During the madness of the merger, heroes and villains alike clash as they blame each other for the disturbance. But everyone must put aside their differences, as Metron appears before the heroes of the two worlds. The events have caused the two intergalactic tyrants to fuse, becoming the terrifying Thanoseid! He now seeks to rule his new universe. The heroes of both worlds must gather together to stop him.

A slightly generic, but big and bombastic story.
Would be a cinematic story mode much like the Injustice and Mortal Kombat ones, high quality cutsences with fights to back them up. Darkseid and Thanos don't actually need to be playable, though we proablly will add them at some point.

DC

  • Alfred Pennyworth: Batman's loyal butler. Alfred has been with Bruce Wayne since childhood, and took care of him after the death of his parents. Alfred assists Batman and his allies on their missions, in both a tech capacity and as a carer, though he clearly worries for him at times. He would eventually find himself on a different earth after his was destroyed, joining that world's Spider-Man. Miles possess the same abilities as the orignal Spider-Man, but also the ability to camouflage himself, and a venom strike that can temporarily paralyze with just a touch.
  • Green Goblin (Norman Osborn): One of Spider-Man's most infamous enemies. Norman Osbron was the head of Oscop. He developed an advanced glider and pumpkin shaped bombs, becoming the infamous criminal known as the Green Goblin, battling with Spiser-Man multiple times. It was during one of these showdowns in which Osborn took the life of Spider-Man's girlfriend Gwen Stacy. Collectibles don't rule out a character from being playable; I wrote a description of Doctor Doom, and he's already on the roster.

---

I'll leave the story mode concept open for another day, to give people more time to think of something, and I'll add the cards that have been listed to the opening post when I have the time.

---

Job 35: nominate a Shazam-related stage

Come on and slam, and welcome to Shazam! This can be a stage related to Shazam, Black Adam, Dr. Sivana, or any other character from that franchise.

Job 36: nominate a moveset for the Flash

Feel free to draw on any source - the comics, the movies, the TV shows, Injustice, other video game appearances, etc. I'll probably post one later today.

Job 35:
Rock of Eternity (DC)
Rock of Eternity is a realm featured in Shazam comics where wizard named Shazam resides there alongside 7 deadly sin statues. In original comics, it appeared at the end of subway tunnel but in DCEU version, you could get there by a car (As the young Thaddeus scene shows at the beginning of the movie).

The stage would take place at Rock of Eternity. The wizard Shazam and statues of 7 deadly sins appear in background.

I nominate Rock of Eternity as stage, because it would fit Shazam well, considering that Billy Batson got summoned there by wizard Shazam in the comics and movie.

Flash moveset:

Unique Action: Molecular Acceleration
- the Flash accelerates the molecules in his body to the point where he briefly becomes intangible, allowing opponents or attacks to pass through him harmlessly. This only lasts for a short time, though (fittingly enough) it recharges quickly.

Flash Punch (quarter circle forward + attack) - the Flash dashes forward, hitting the opponent hard; using heavier attacks results in him moving further and hitting harder

Around the World in .80 Seconds (quarter circle back + attack) - the Flash runs off-screen (towards whichever edge of the screen is behind him), appearing on the other side in order to do a sliding kick (if Light was used), a punch (if Medium was used), or an uppercut (if Heavy was used). It's implied that he ran around the entire world; it serves as a way to quickly get behind the opponent.

Cyclone Slam (back, forward, attack) - the Flash waves his arms, creating a horizontal cyclone that serves as a short-range projectile

Vanishing Rush ( ⬅ ↙ ⬇ + attack) - the Flash dashes forward, briefly turning into a blur. If he passes through someone, that person is hit by several invisible punches after he stops. (it's copied from Omega Rugal, a King of Fighters boss, but it seemed fitting)

Level 1: Whirlwind (half circle forward + attack) - the Flash runs in circles, creating a tornado that slowly moves forward. If it connects, it launches the opponent into the air, dealing damage for as long as it's active. It's tall enough that it can't be jumped over normally. (though Superman could potentially fly over it.

Level 2: Speed Force (quarter circle back x 2 + attack) - time slows down for everyone but the Flash (even the in-game timer slows down), and the Flash's super meter starts to drain. Time remains slowed for as long as he has any super meter left (so using it when you're nearly at level 3 has it last longer than if you just reached level 2), though his meter's drained by the end of it. (Whirlwind can be used in this state, but it severely cuts down on how long the slowdown effect lasts)

Level 3: Infinite Mass Punch (press all buttons) - the Flash dashes forwards, leading to a cinematic if he connects. The Flash punches an opponent, only to keep running. As the opponent recovers, he hits them from a completely different direction. Before they can recover, he hits them again; the camera zooms out to show the Earth (or whatever planet the stage takes place on) as we can see a red blur crossing the planet several times in a second from various angles. The Flash is shaking, nearly reaching a point where he's about to be sucked into the Speed Force, as he delivers one last devastating punch before going back to his normal speed.

Note: Since it's difficult to write certain inputs with the most common version of the notations (or at least it is for me) I will start to use the Numpad Notation when writing movesets, here it is a small guide of how to read it in the case you don't know.
General Playstyle
Flash is a high-execution rushdown character, it has all the good tools a rushdown character should have with lots of safe moves, mixup potential, great damage scalation, etc, but it's also the character with the lowest health in the game for balance reasons. Has an additional note almost all Flash's normals and super moves are dash cancellable.

Unique Ability - On Your Mark
Based on a move that he had in Injustice, Flash strikes a particular pose where he prepares to run, you can hold the button to increase the power of the attack, full-charged moves are unblockable and had startup invulnerability. Depending of the button pressed is the action Flash. Like other moves Flash can dash cancel the stance.
  • Light (Flash Punch): Flash does a flashstep punch attack like Makoto's Hayate.
  • Medium (Charging Slide): Flash does a kick sliding kick that it's hard to react.
  • Strong (Sonic Stomp): Flash jumps and descends with a striking punch to the floor, you can direct the move a little moving the stick forwards or backwards during the startup.
  • Unique Ability (Stance Cancel): Cancels the move.
MOVE NAMEINPUTDESCRIPTION
Vortex Flurry236 + XFlash runs forwards and if impacts to the enemy he starts to run around the opponent at high speed releasing them after some time, it's not a command grab so it can be blocked.
Around the World214 + X Flash runs backwards and appears from the other side of the stage working more or less like Scorpion's Hellport, like the On Your Mark move it has different variations depending of the button pressed.
  • Light: Flash would use the same Flash Punch of On Your Mark but at the other side.
  • Medium: Flash does a jump before appearing and does a dive kick.
  • Strong: Flash wouldn't stop and instead would dash forwards the opponent making the opponent spin around in confusion taking damage.
Lightning Kick623 + XFlash does a somersault kick has his DP, much like other DPs it's an invincible reversal. The move itself resembles Guile's famous Flash Kick (bada bum tss).
Mach Fist646 + XFlash does a quick flurry of punches, based on Kyokugenryu's Zanretsuken, but due Flash's Metahuman abilities it's way faster.
Quantum Phase22 + XFlash perfoms a pose meanwhile he starts to blurry due the acceleration of his particules for a quick amount of time, during this state he is completely invencible and both physical attacks and projectiles are ignored (even command grabs and supers), the move has a long endlag so careless spamming can be punished with ease.
Level 1 Super:
Cyclone Flurry
236236 + X An enhanced version of Vortex Flurry, Flash runs quickly forwards and if the move connects Flash will start to run in circles even faster creating a tornado around the stage.
Level 2 Super: Speed Force214214 + XFlash starts to run so fast that everything happens like if it was in slow motion, the meter is drained completely since it would work has a timer with a complete stock equivaling to more or less 5 seconds. It also works has a force cancel but when do it in that way it would burn additional meter at the start of the move so having less time to attack.
Level 3 - FlashpointAll Buttons PressedFlash launches a lightning bol, if connects he quickly runs and grabs the opponent in a sequence similar to his Injustice 2 super but with the difference that the locations are more thematical with the worlds of Marvel and DC with things like The Eternals watching him when travelling to the past, the Caveman Batman appearing when he is in the prehistoric, etc. And at the end he goes to minutes before start the move to make the opponent collide with itself. Let's be honest Flash had the best super move in the game so it would be a crime don't use something that it's just that damn perfect. (also I know that this technically can't work has a Flashpoint but the name it's cool and I wanted to put some reference in the name of a move.

Here are the polls for the latest jobs:

Job 37: nominate a DC character who hasn't been playable in the Injustice series

So far, all of our DC characters have been playable in Injustice, while all of our Marvel characters have been playable in the Marvel vs. Capcom games. That's understandable, given how strong those line-ups are, but I figure we should try to change that; there are a ton of possible options who didn't make it into those games.

For reference, not counting characters who are currently in the roster, the following characters are ineligible:

-Ares
-The Atom
-Atrocitus
-Bane
-Batgirl (Barbara Gordon)
-Black Adam
-Black Canary
-Black Manta
-Blue Beetle (Jamie Reyes)
-Brainiac
-Captain Cold
-Catwoman
-Cheetah
-Cyborg
-Darkseid
-Deadshot
-Deathstroke
-Doctor Fate
-Doomsday
-Enchantress
-Firestorm
-Gorilla Grodd
-Green Arrow
-Hawkgirl
-Killer Frost
-Lobo
-Martian Manhunter
-Poison Ivy
-Red Hood
-Robin (Damian Wayne)
-Scarecrow
-Sinestro
-Solomon Grundy
-Starfire
-Supergirl
-Swamp Thing
-Zatanna
-Zod

Any other DC character can be nominated. (don't worry; there will be other jobs that will give the characters from that list other chances to be included, including an Injustice-specific job)

A giant, psychic, alien starfish who sends out smaller starfish that latch onto people’s faces. May seem like a weird choice but 1. I wanted a less conventional, less human-in-spandex character (similar to why Shuma Gorath got chosen for Marvel Super Heroes by CAPCOM) and 2. He is prominent in that he was the first villain fought by the Justice League, as you can see on that cover.

The only issue I see is his size making him more fitting for a boss role. But we’ve seen Reptar, Ridley, Sentinel, and the Iron Giant make it to fighters, among others, and if it’s too much of an issue, I suppose we could instead use Jarro, one of the offspring who decided to become good, even serving as a Robin. For real.

Job 37: Non-Injustice character

Big Barda

When it comes to characters from the New Gods, Darkseid tends to stand out above the rest. (understandably - he's a great villain) While he's not in the roster yet (though that seems extremely likely to happen at some point), Darkseid is one of the central figures of the story no matter which story premise we go with, so I'd like to include at least one of the New Gods in the roster.

Big Barda was one of Darkseid's Female Furies until she met, and fell in love with, Scott Free. Escaping to Earth, she established a life with Scott there, acting as the brawn to his brain. Barda is powerful enough to fight Wonder Woman to a draw, and taller than everyone on the roster but the Hulk when he's standing upright.

Rather than having any kind of gimmick, Big Barda would be as straightforward as they come. She hits hard, has super armour to power through enemy attacks, and generally tries to stay in her opponent's face as much as possible. (if Mister Miracle doesn't make it into the roster, maybe he could serve as her unique action, placing traps for Barda's opponent to get caught in)

Plastic Man
Patrick "Eel" O'Brian was a common crimnal who gained the power of elasticity, after being exposed to experimental chemicals. He would become the superhero known as Plastic Man! He's very been a member of the Justice League. It would be fun to have a comic relief charatcer. He could have an extremely fun moveset, as he can stretch and transform his whole body.

There are other characters with similar abilities such as Ms. Marvel or Mr. Fantasic, but his comedic nature would make him feel different and there's no reason why we couldn't still add those if he gets in. We have a bunch of super strong pepole who can fly.

I managed some names like Ras, Azrael, Katana, Luficer or Red Tornado but I recently started to watch the last season of DC Legends of Tomorrow that even if it has a questionable quality there is a character that I always liked there and I like in general.
JOHN CONSTANTINE
The Hellblazer, a powerful sorcerer and also quite an asshole but that it's always fun to see, it would also be a representation of the Vertigo Comics. I just think is neat in general.

Today seems quieter than usual, and I'm not sure if it's just poor timing on my part, or if I made the prompt too broad and people aren't sure who to nominate. If it's the latter, and people need some ideas, here are some characters who aren't in the Injustice games.

-Ra's al Ghul - mastermind of the League of Assassins, virtually immortal, basically a Bond villain

-Clayface - shape-shifting blob monster and Batman villain

-Huntress - occasional ally to Batman; she has a vendetta against organized crime

-Parasite - energy absorber and long-time Superman villain

-Mr. Mxyzptlk - fifth-dimensional imp, reality warper, and an annoyance for Superman once every 90 days - might run into the Yoda/Oddjob problem where he's shorter than everyone else, but as he's a reality warper, that's an easy fix. (he can make his limbs slightly longer in his intro, for example - not to the point where he's the same height as Superman, but at least long enough that attacks won't go over him)

-Jimmy Olsen - he's gained superpowers so many times that you could probably make a moveset where every single attack has him using a different power or undergoing a different transformation

-Beast Boy - the only member of the "main" Teen Titans to never be in an Injustice game; he can shapeshift into pretty much any animal

-Captain Boomerang - Flash villain and occasional member of the Suicide Squad; also a total jerk (it seems like he'd have great interactions with the Flash, Harley, and Spider-Man at least)

-Katana - she's got my back. I would advise not getting killed by her; her sword traps the souls of its victims

-Mister Terrific - one of the smartest men in the world, and he can use a wide variety of inventions (including T-Spheres, robotic orbs with hologram projectors, lasers, explosives, etc.) in combat

-The Anti-Monitor - the main villain of Crisis on Infinite Earths; while he's famous for being ridiculously huge, he has been shown to be the size of an ordinary human if he wants to be

-The Batman Who Laughs - an alternate version of Batman who was corrupted by the Joker and turned into a mix of the two

-Booster Gold - time traveler who came back to the present day to be a hero, though his carelessness and ego makes it hard for people to take him seriously

-Mera - the wife of Aquaman, who has powerful hydrokinesis

-Circe - a powerful sorceress, made famous by Homer's Odyssey, and one of Wonder Woman's enemies

-Mister Miracle - the world's greatest escape artist, and one of the New Gods. Armed with various traps and technology to help in a fight

-Wonder Girl - several people have taken up the mantle, so Donna Troy, Cassie Sandsmark, or Yara Flor could work

-Bloodsport - in his hands, anything is a deadly weapon. His father was a mercenary who trained his son how to kill from the moment he was born.

-Peacemaker - in his hands, anything is a deadly weapon. His father was a soldier who trained his son how to kill from the moment he was born.

-King Shark - heeeeee's a shark, he's a shark, he's a shark, he's a shark! He's a *&^%$#@ sharrrrrrrrk!

Hopefully that helps, or at least gives something to work with; I could keep going, but I feel like that's a lot as it is. (I just want there to be at least six characters, since that's generally the point where I'll add two characters instead of one)

Penguin

The Penguin is one of the most used and iconic Batman villains (in fact I had to check like three times to make sure he wasn’t playable in injustice) and I think he could have a pretty interesting moveset with his umbrella, guns, and weird penguin bomb things. Plus penguin is often used as the big villain in batman sequels when Joker’s already been used like batman returns and arkham city (technically) so adding him just makes sense IMO

Whoops, sorry, got distracted with other stuff! Anyway, there are definitely some good options here. Static and Constantine were taken - and these are probably my two favorite DC characters who aren't in Injustice - so I had to think a liiiiittle bit harder. I thought about Booster Gold, I thought about Katana, I even thought of my man Mr. Mxyzptlk, but ultimately, I kept coming back to this guy:

Ra's Al Ghul
Ra's_al_Ghul_0003.jpg

Batman has faced many, many different villains in his long history of, er, being Batman, and this guy is probably one of the most notorious and threatening of them all. Ra's Al Ghul is a centuries-old man who is the leader of a terrorist organization known as the League of Assassins. Compared to the Joker, Ra's is more of a proper sort of "evil counterpart" to Batman - both of them are wealthy, charismatic, intelligent men with cutting-edge technology at their disposal. The difference is Ra's wants to stop the Earth's slow death by killing off most of mankind and building a new, superior society.

I mentioned that he's centuries old, and that's true! His life is extended by use of the Lazarus Pit, a mystical spring that can slow down aging and heal wounds. He's also mastered the arts of swordsmanship and various war strategies and fighting styles. He also has a daughter who is in an on-and-off relationship with Batman. He's also one of the few Batman villains to know about his secret identity. He's cool.

Clayface
1657955912050.png
Clayface aka Basil Karlo is a former Batmam villain with the power to change himself into anything with his clay-body. Now he is one of Batman's ally.
He was used to be mediocre actor before he became clayface. Then after he quit his movie career, he was looking for the edge and he met crime boss named Penguin, who gave him mystical clay that entered his bloodstream, becoming the Clayface.

He could have shapeshifting powers like turning his arm into mace or hammer for example. Speaking of shapeshifting, he could even shapeshift into opponent like if would fight with Harley quinn, he could turn into her.

I nominate Clayface, because he could have really fun moveset potential and his potential rival could be The Thing if he was in.

Going by yesterday's poll results, we'll be including my Flash moveset, and the Rock of Eternity (which Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds nominated) as the Shazam stage!

For the story premise, it's tied. In this case, I'll go with the one that isn't mine, so @Darkonedagger's story outline is the one that we'll use!

---

Glad to see the nominations picked up! (I was worried that we wouldn't get many, since we were at four characters for a while)

non Injustice.png

-Starro the Conqueror ( AlRex AlRex )
-Big Barda ( Megadoomer Megadoomer )
-Plastic Man (@Darkonedagger)
-John Constantine ( Infinity Sorcerer Infinity Sorcerer )
-Cyborg Superman ( Oddball Oddball )
-Static ( DragonRobotKing26 DragonRobotKing26 )
-The Penguin ( Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule )
-Ra's al Ghul ( Speed Weed Speed Weed )
-Ragdoll ( Qwerty UIOP Qwerty UIOP )
-Clayface ( Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds )

Vote for your top three; your own can't be in first, and the top two will make it in.

1. Clayface (I almost nominated him myself - I get that he'd probably be a nightmare to animate if he was in an actual fighting game, but I'd love to see him in an Injustice sequel)
2. Big Barda (self-vote - much like the Fantastic Four, I'd like to see characters from the New Gods beyond their main villain in the game)
3. Starro the Conqueror (I love the idea; he'd definitely be an unorthodox character, and I find it great when he appears in other media (his appearance in The Suicide Squad was a highlight; not sure if I have to spoiler-tag that))

Honourable mention goes to Cyborg Superman, whose backstory is an extremely thinly-veiled reference to what happened to the Fantastic Four, except it ends in tragedy. While I'm not sure how differently he'd play from Superman, I'd love to see him incorporated into a Marvel vs. DC crossover just for his interactions with the FF and Dr. Doom, among other Marvel characters.

-Iron Fist
-Nova (Richard Rider)
-Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze)
-Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff)
-Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers)
-Gamora
-Ultron
-The Winter Soldier
-Galactus, Devourer of Worlds

(oddly enough, even with including Galactus, the list is still shorter than the Injustice list despite MvC having significantly more games - I guess it's because the Marvel vs. Capcom rosters have a lot of overlap, with MvC2 covering all of the previous titles, while the Injustice games cut a lot of characters between the first and the second, and had much more in the way of DLC)

Aside from those (and the characters who are already on the roster), any other Marvel character can be nominated. (this includes people with the same identity as others, so if you want to nominate the Kate Bishop version of Hawkeye or the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider, those are options)

I will submit my mahvel char later.
  1. Ra's al Ghul: Has I said before I was very near to include him, is my favorite Batman villain and I think it would be a great choice.
  2. John Constantine: Bias but I consider it a very plausible choice, I know there it would be a magic users round later but considering that maybe John could evite that other cool magic users of the franchise like Zattanna or Doctor Fate makes in I think having him in this round would be nice.
  3. Plastic Man: Goofy man and between the characters with similar abilities he looks like the most fun to use of all three.
Honorific mentions goes for Starro (based choice and I was also considering in add someone like Shuma Gorath) and Static that also seems very fun.

Job 38:
Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler/Kurt Wegner is a fictional superhero from X-Men comic series and he is a mutant with X-gene that can cause physical mutations that grant him superhuman abilities.
Nightcrawler has superagility and he has an ability to teleport. He has also adhesive hands and feet.
His physical mutations include indigo-colored velvety fur which allows him to become nearly invisible in shadows, two-toed feet, and three-fingered hands, yellow eyes, pointed ears and a prehensile tail.

His moveset potential could allude to his abilities like teleport or agility for example. He would be fast rushdown fighter in this game.

I nominate Nightcrawler, because he was one of requested characters for Marvel VS Capcom games and he would make some sense if he was in the roster.
Having another X-man would be little bit bloated, but he would be cool addition to the game.

THE VISION
Another one of those "how they never added him before?", especially considering Ultron's importance in Infinite alongside the stones, it is supposed that it's because how ****ing broken would he be, something that maybe its true, but I think it could have a very fun moveset.

For Marvel, I'm re-nominating Howard the Duck.

Howard the Duck counts. So I’ll put him on. He’s a talking duck from a world of talking ducks, who got trapped on the Marvel Earth. His comics are fairly satirical and comedic, as you might expect, and Howard seems to pick up whatever can be useful, ranging from swords to Iron Man armor, to mech suits, to the Eye of Agamotto, and more. He also is a master of Quack-Fu! He certainly stands out in Marvel history, and I would say he’s both famous and infamous for several reasons. I mean, he was the first Marvel character to get a feature film, for better or worse.

Swapped my character out. Still want Daredevil in at some point but we could use some female characters lol.
I was literally typing a Ms. Marvel submission... anyways

Marvel Submission: Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch
The Reason Why Elizabeth Olsen Loves Scarlet Witch - Bullfrag

Wanda is a really interesting character in the Marvel universe. She's alternated between being a hero and a villain more than probably any other character in the continuity (with the possible exception of her sometimes-father, Magneto). Her powers have gone from being a Mutant with mild probability powers to the most powerful reality bender in the multiverse (She's a Mutant no more, though). It's genuinely baffling she's never been in a fighting game, and I think its time to fix that

The Thing
Fantastic_Four_Vol_6_1_The_Thing_Variant_Textless.jpg

Although Doctor Doom has been a staple of the MvC games, and characters like Super-Skrull have also been featured, the series has never once had an actual member of the Fantastic Four in the roster. I figure that's something we could work on, and my personal choice is the Thing.

Ben Grimm was an astronaut who was picked to be one of four people to journey into space, the other ones being Reed Richards and Johnny and Sue Storm. After being exposed to high levels of cosmic radiation, the group gained superpowers. Ben had probably the most drastic transformation, as he saw his body shift to that of a hulking rock monster. The group became the Fantastic Four, one of Marvel's most celebrated and famous groups.

I picked the Thing because I think it'd be cool to have more of these big heavy fighters, and he actually would fight somewhat differently from the Hulk, as while the Hulk is more of a wild berserker, the Thing.....is a brawler. His fighting style incorporates styles like boxing and collegiate wrestling techniques, he's more of a proper fighter. He's a really fun and cool character, it'd be nice to see him

There are a few characters that I want to see, and I had trouble with picking one over the other. As much as I want to see a member of the Fantastic Four (EDIT: thanks, Speed Weed - the Thing was the main one that I was considering, so the fact that you nominated him as I was typing this made my choice easier) or Gwenpool in here (at least one of her interactions with a DC character writes itself), I'm going to go with...

Ms. Marvel

Kamala Khan, a.k.a. Ms. Marvel, is a huge fan of superheroes in general and Captain Marvel specifically. After being exposed to the Terrigen Mists, (though it's entirely possible that Marvel will change the source of her powers given recent events), she gained the ability to change the shape and size of her body. Excited at the possibility of being like her idols, she fights crime as Jersey City's premiere superhero, Ms. Marvel.

Kamala can stretch, deform, or expand her body, allowing her to shrink to the size of an action figure or grow to the size of a small building. She often uses her power to make her fists gigantic, as seen in the picture above. She can also shapeshift, though it takes more out of her.

Ms. Marvel is a major success story for Marvel, resonating with modern readers like how Spider-Man has resonated with readers since his introduction in the 60's. If the fact that the first volume went through seven printings is any indication, she's helped a lot of people get into comics, and I feel like more than any other non-MvC character, she almost has to be in here.

EDIT: As I was writing this, someone else changed their submission to Ms. Marvel, so I'll change mine.

Gwenpool

Gwen Poole, a high school dropout from a world very similar to our own, found herself in the world of Marvel Comics. (though how it happened is unclear, and it's been retconned several times, with one of those retcons being pointed out in the series itself) Realizing that extras don't have a long life-span, she decided to become a superhero. (or at least a mercenary trying to be a superhero)

Gwen started out as a normal, if extremely lucky, human who's aware of the fourth wall. However, as she grew accustomed to being in a comic book, she gradually began to take advantage of conventions of the medium, and began weaponizing thought bubbles, flashbacks, and the space in between comic panels. At this point, she can be a full-blown reality warper, though it doesn't always work out - team books seem to be her weakness (since she can't use the full extent of her powers), and her familiarity with comic books often lead to her making wild assumptions that aren't always true, like assuming that a bigoted sheriff is actually hypnotized, replaced by aliens, or part of some other supervillain plot. (normally, that would be true, but the book in question dealt with a lot of social issues)

She's canonically a huge fan of both Marvel and DC comics, so I want to include her in this line-up at some point. At the very least, one interaction writes itself:

I'll just change mine back to Daredveil. Keep yours. Sorry for the inconvenience
