...If someone has the gaul to attempt to attend this tourney, knowing full-well that pre-reg is a mandatory part of it, and simply decides to try and show up unannounced just to complicate things... like I said, we don't and won't care who it is, they won't be playing.

Just make sure your name is on that list. You only need to pay at the venue.

The total cost if you're planning on playing will be $20 plus whatever tournament entry fees are required for the pot.

If you're just planning to watch, you only need to pay $5.

For Everyone Traveling to NorCal for Genesis:

Friday night after tournament, the SoCal Genesis Bus will be opening it doors to anyone +18 and taking a huge group of Smasher's to San Francisco for only $5. For those of us that paid for Hotel + Bus trip, it's free, but for everyone else, it'll be $5.

So what's so good about this? Smashers, Partying, Sight-Seeing, etc. We'll be blasting music or maybe just playing Smash on the bus, who knows?

Details:

- Bus Leaves Venue @ 10:00-ish to prepare.
- If you want to go on the trip, meet the bus at the Ramada Inn (Antioch) by 10:30pm.
- We leave for San Francisco then; we drive around the city or just drive to specific sights, restaurants, clubs, etc.
- We drop people off at the Ramada Inn (Antioch) hopefully at 2 - 3 am. So yeah, that's what's happening.

Lets go m2k. I know that your not at 100% in terms of where your marth is at right now, but you can still beat almost everyone(save the fruit puff) at 75% of your full abilities. Train up your marth at Wendell's place sometime before Genesis, and prove to the world that marth is still one of the best, besides sheik and fox.

The thing is, paying 90$ (without the travel costs) to play a total of 12 sets during 3 days of tournament (as there won't be much freeplay) is a total pain in the arse.
I can understand that this tournament will be extremly big and that sacrifices have to be made, but seriously, pools of 4 are too harsh.
People may think that if you're not good enough to play a decent amount of sets, it's your problem. But bad players are as important as good players, as their numbers are what makes a big tournament (and they may become goog players one day). I've heard some smashers tell me they didn't enjoy a tournament and wouldn't attend any other because they could play only a few sets in a whole weekend. They really enjoyed these sets, but it just wasn't worth the price.


Question to the hosts : how many TVs do you think you'll have ?



That's so true. I remember hosting tournaments where top players really deserved to be DQ'ed. It will be necessary to be harsh with everyone at this tournament.

Also, I agree with you about fixing pools. It's really hard to do and it's about as long as making new pools, if you want to make something good.

I agree. But M2K is going to have to play more like this as opposed to his new "super agressive, playing gay is against my code" style that he seems to have picked up since Brawl came out. I mean, in the recent sets vs. Mango, there has been very little nair, fair and ftilt spacing from his Marth from what I've seen.

I hope the grand finals of Melee are super exciting. Game five of the second set would be stuff of legends.

Just host some badass smashfest in the last few weeks before Genesis and drag m2k's *** to the them. Make him and Wendel play some matches with you and cactuar and get his marth back in shape. I just watched some vids of m2k at Devastation against taj in marth dittos. M2k is fsmashing way too much. His marth does not look the same anymore.

Cool you finally got a nice avatar. Im glad i have someone that Knows me personally on the boards. Ken, M2k is not what he used to be seeing as he plays both brawl and melee, but i have confidence that w/. about 2 1/2 weeks left before the hugest torunament that the smash world has ever seen will take place, that m2k will get close to his prime.
