I can't @ Nana haha, I don't really know anyone enough and I just passed a test to earn tips. I think it'd be irresponsible to ask to switch already =P.
I rarely play on Wifi, I'm at a different apartment atm. When I have this Sunday and Monday off, I suppose I'll move both my computer and Wii amongst other things over here =P. Then maybe we can play one morning before I go to work ^_^;. Why me though? I suck!

edit//someone convince me to switch to grave? i love swing shift because it's easy and laid back, the people are neat and i love these two chinese women i work with.
but in terms of having a life, 2PM-10PM is absolutely horrible. I get home at 10:30, dustin goes to sleep at 12:30, i shower, sleep, wake up, go to work. I'm thinking, if i had grave shift, 10PM-6AM, I could at least have some of the afternoon to myself :/.

Anyone else feel the way I do?
Ever since brawls release I've either been against the game or neutral on it. Lately it's the latter fortunately, probably cause lucario is rather fun in this game lol. But thats not the point my point is, tourneys just are not fun for me anymore. The game the community is switching to (Brawl) just doesn't interest me I can't take this game seriously like I did melee. I've really tired to but I can't. I play brawl with Icy and just get so bored sometimes, but I force myself to play it thinking, when I play this at tourneys I'll have fun and be able to chill with smashers. At esticle though it felt like a drag. It was fun chilling with kids but aside from the actual game? Not really. I'm not going to spend 10 dollars just to chill with you guys, I mean I <3 you guys but I can easily just go over your house and play smash with you lol.
I just really can't get motivated to take this game seriously, it feels like a waste of money to me. No matter how many times I lost in melee I still had fun, it was exciting always fresh and it was amazing to see what upsets might happen. (pound 3? I mean seriously who the **** saw that coming.)
I dunno why I'm posting this maybe to see if anyone else feels the same that, playing this game competitively just is drag. Matches tend to be uninteresting and ultimately I think those who feel the same will probably just fade from tourneys because of this. I know I already feel like not going to a few up coming ones. >_>

I found a way to have fun: reduce it down to the most simple level possible. That level is just winning and losing. Playing to win is fun, even if you're playing a crappy game. At least to me it is. Before I started doing that, I hated Brawl too.

I dunno jam the motivation just isn't there I could careless about brawl, I'll be sitting there playing and I'll just zone out from it. even if I wanna win I'll just zone out and play mindlessly.
The game just doesn't grab my attention anymore and thus tourneys feel like a drag to me. But I guess I can give this game one last shot we'll see though. lol.

I agree with Aesir but in a different sense. Everytime I go to a tourney its GENERALLY the same exact result.

Its like we are giving them money just to play video games with friends. You can be doing the same thing by just calling friends up and having them come over and bring some weed, beer, or whatever the case may be without having to travel great distances. Sometimes its fun to NOT play Smash with these people. (As I told Mike, its like were video game **** buddies.) Have you ever hung out with a smasher and ALL you did was play video games? I'm sure some of you have...and i find this funny...in so many different ways. Cant you like...hangout like friends? haha

Judging by my performance thus far...I would say that point is well proven. YES, I main Meta Knight but I also pack a pretty nice Shiek, Mario, GAW, Falco, Snake, and Marth. I've NEVER placed any higher than 13th (which was at both esticles) and the best I have placed was 2nd at one of Cat Fights tourneys.
I like Brawl and I think its a really fun game...and its really nice to see everyone together and hangout and such but the idea of spending $$$ for gas to travel to such places as watertown, georgia, or the venue for MM is beyond ridiculous. Also take into consideration what you are ALREADY paying to NOT win money and basically fork it over to a more experienced player. YES, you will develop and YOU WILL get better....but no one in CT is really good enough at this point to beat Cort in a competitive sense. Corts not Jesus....but he is quite good at Brawl with Snake. His Diddy and DDD are also quite good as well.

Granted, I am the best green shell sniper that has ever lived (both forward and backward).
But TT actually is a show of skill. Otherwise you can hang in 2nd-4th and get lucky.
I understand Aiser's post...if you don't find the game fun then there is no point in playing.
I am competitive in everything I do. I hate to lose. It was always what kept me going...that and meeting people. I have not played Brawl competitively because I had no one to play. No matter what I do, I do not want to lose. I also get bored of Brawl much faster than Melee, but that was because Melee had a learning curve and stuff to work on...Brawl is just seeing and doing to me. I see how people play and can just do it. Kind of like Nus at Melee

Just dont get it.....because its horrible.
Unless you have an HD TV...its really NOT worth it because its just the same exact game we've been playing since middle school with new people and a different environment. Everyone gets a giant boner over that game and it really is nothing special. I've played my PS3 copy a grand total of like three times. I'll see you my copy for forty dollars if youd like. Get a ps3 yet?
