On another note, for those who have had jobs unlike me...how do you get yourself through work hating it ?

Talk with people, a lot. It makes the time fly by. My boss is also awesome and my job is fairly easy, but somedays it's really painful. I'd say just make as many friends as you can there.

srsly though, I agree with Thumbs. I hated my job as a lifeguard a couple years ago, but I was lucky that I was able to talk/socialize with my coworkers for part of the day. Also, try to find little things that are enjoyable and do them as much as possible (without getting in trouble, lolz). The more little things that make you happy throughout the day, the better.

For example: pack/buy yourself a lunch that you really like so you have something to look forward to; call a friend on a break to chat even for a few minutes; find a coworker to talk to; explore the casino if you have free time, you may find something/someone interesting.

Did I mention paychecks already?

This is a temp job just for the summer right?
Honestly the best cure for a job that you don't like is to get another one. It doesn't matter if you just started, look for different stuff. Also people are right, find someone that you get along with and make friends. (never works for me, I don't like most people and figure the effort isn't worth it lol) Or just find a little part of the job that you do like and concentrate on that or something.
I've had some truly shitty jobs in the past but mostly found a way to make them okay...:
Janitor at a car dealership: had no one barely even know I was there so I would come in late and leave early and take 1 hr lunches ect.
Current desk job: surf the net A LOT
deli worker at shaws: ...actually that one blew ass no matter how you shake it.

Just don't be afraid to change jobs.
