Dashing >>>>>>>>> Wavedashing
wavedashes are the poor mans pivot.
I wavedash, I'm poor. but wave dashing on serves a handful of purposes, increased speed, moving backwards while still being able to attack facing forward, and... increased speed.
lol, it is actually a good way to cancel a bunch of animations in the game though... since jump cancels like everything. wave dash out of shield, wavedash out of run, and with fox of course, wave dash out of shine. Fox would be so much worse of a character without wave dashing.

Can you name one thing that you can do from a WD that you can't do from a dash dance or down-cancelled run?
You can pivot to any attack sir.I'd like to see samus run backwards then pivot a downsmash instead of wavedashing backwards and down smashing. You guys need to watch yourselves play more maybe...wavedashers

Actually... you can't pivot to neutral B! I've been trying to find a way to charge blast out of theopening run anaimation all night even before I got on the boards, lol.

That was my original question. I want to see what happens when you have momentum going down initially.
Jam, people are guessing that airdodging with a direction is gone, and airdodging simply follows your current momentum instead. It kills off wavedashing.
I'm kinda mad about it too, if they wanted to fix Wavedashing, I don't really care, but ruining airdodging is serious business.

If that was your point you'd of said it, lol. Don't know why I'm still arguing this, but trading off speed for tippers is for marths (too bad his pivot is so good
). with samus you should be focusing on speed since as a whole that one of the big things she lacks. you can and should dodge most attacks with a dash. wavedash to dsmash is like 20 + frames to hit box. hyper pivot is like... 10-12. i gotta learn to pivot... and how to wavedash.
