Solid Jake's Tournament outline and promise!:

WE ARE GOING TO RUN THE WORLDS FASTEST AND MOST ORGANIZED NATIONAL SMASH EVENT TO DATE

100 TV'S Guarnteed for smash free play and tournament!

we do require the community to provide setups, but not like a wii is very difficult! We will be doing a check in and labeling system to provide security for the wii and they are working on an incentive program to provide the consoles, but uh every pool gets 3-5 Tv's , yes please!

3 DAY EVENT WITH A VENUE THAT NEVER CLOSES, AND A HOTEL ROOM JUST AN ELEVATOR AWAY!

Concerts Friday and Saturday night featuring bands such as Freezepop, The Minibosses, and Bang Camaro!

A Power House of TO's!

Solid Jake
omegablackmage
omegawhitemage
Dazwa
Alex Strife
Chibosempai
and more to come!

Regional Crews done right! As long as we have the right for each region, we want to see regional crews celebrated like they used to be with fierce rivalries, and regional pride!

Speaking of regional pride, how about community pride?! This is a convention that is built off of pro gaming communities, I think its time we show the SF4 community, the Halo community, and all the other communities that our community is the best!!

It's going to be a blast, a weekend we will never forget, and from what the convention owner has told me there is already nearly 300 people pre registered for smash! (already attention from new players interested in the community? who knows!)

You can learn more @ http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=208490 or www.Gameunicon.com

Hope to see you there~

Also to help with some transportation

Travel by Land:

FROM NYC:
Ok.... so it looks like we are going to have a private hired bus from NYC to GameUniCon!!!! It looks likely that it will only be around $20 round trip!!!!(nothing's final yet...)

If interest is there we may send one elsewhere (New Jersey is possible).....

If you were to take any New York bus... you would have to go to all the way to Boston or Framingham then to Marlborough adding time to the trip. This way we will deliver you right to the Convention!!!!

Email Jamie@GameUnicon.com if you are intersted!"

GET HYPE.

How far from WPI is this?
...and when?

Yup. Been that way for about...ten episodes. They've already introduced some of the manga-exclusive characters (the prince of Xing and his lackeys).

It's good stuff, DD.

YAYYYY! I read the Manga up to date and I was waiting for the Anime to get all cool and stuff. So yea, I'll start watching then.

yes.

Thissssssssssssssssssssssss

<3 We generally tend to agree on anime-esque stuff, Aesir. Have you noticed that?

Smooth Criminal
i didn't.

Is FMA:B different than the other FMA yet?
-DD
yeah, really different.

17 episodes to be exact, and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. They rushed the beginning VERY VERY hard, and I feel like Leor was so insignificant, where as it was everything in the last serious. I'm just looking as a person who liked the previous serious a lot (I mean a lot), and follows the manga.

EDIT - the 18th should be out soon, animeready usually has them first

oh yeah i voted anti ban

but it doesn't matter, its up to the TO. A SWF poll isn't going to do much really, especially when some of the poll votes are compromised.

Lmao. The reason why I said that is because Aesir has made some recommendations to me in the past (Darker than Black) and he's had a couple of anime-related avatars where we were both like "good ****" on.

As far as what you said about FMA: B? I agree with it being "rushed." The first episode really had me worried; they introduced the concept of the souped-up alchemists (the ones with the fake Philosopher's Stone) wayyyyyyyy too early. I felt that even a newcomer to the series would have been kinda like, "wtf?" Not only did they downplay Lior a great deal, but they also skipped over the Youswell Mines (which, imo, was a neat little story).

I will say this much, though: You have to remember that the manga is a little more lighthearted in tone. It always has been. There are some nuances that I dislike between the manga version and the (previous) anime version (WRATH BEING THE ****ING FUHRER IN THE MANGA, WHEN THE WRATH FROM THE PREVIOUS ANIME WAS MUCH COOLER), but on the whole both are very likable. We'll see how it pans out, I guess.

Wait... lolita fashion is a misnomer? I really learned nothing from that lolita fashion panel at Anime Boston.
you learned that you cannot use your swivel touch screen to play starcraft. you also learned that it's fun to laugh at people with me.

I think I just found my new sig! :D

I voted anti-ban if anyone was wondering (Cog was at the very least >_>)

Also new avatar to match Mr. KevinM.

I actually enjoyed WPI orientation quite a bit. It's pretty well done for the most part... they break you up by your dorm/floor so you're not with random people who you may never see again. Large variety of fun games and whatnot. 'Twas brillig.

It probably can't compete with SNES (especially considering how close it is to WPI), but you'll still have a good time, hah.
