Wait, do I also get rid of the code for short hops, dash speed, and fast falls? Will spunit's code take care of those?

I'm currently testing spunit's stuff. Inf. Stamina definitely works, as well as throw speed and jump start! I'm about to confirm all the other constants in a bit, as I think I had code conflicts messing with the other values.

So that code combines the merger and the "ASM" parts as well? (the smaller ones that you don't touch)

Let's hope so. I'm almost done plugging in all the needed constants, and then I can test the new codeset. I made a new text file just in case I screw something up lol.

Still confirming, but I'm pretty sure that nothing in Spunit's new code works except for Jump Start Speed and Throw Speed.

ALR works, but has this really weird sliding effect when you land.

Lagless Edge has the vacuum effect that I think Kupo described earlier, where you are sucked off the stage when hanging on the ledge.

Dash Speed, Short Hop Height, and Fast Fall Speed all seem to do nothing.

For Throw Speed, 1.2 or thereabouts seems like a good value. I'm still messing with Jump Start, but 1.5 seems like a good value.

That would be because you need to add the dash/hop/fall asm code from the big merger code to your codeset, the jump/throw/etc one is just for those.

Also, I'm getting that odd ledge effect too.

As for spunit's new code, thanks guys. That would explain why those codes didn't do anything. There is still the issue with ALR giving you a slidy effect. Can someone else confirm?

BTW, I'm testing Throw Speed at 1.25 and Jump Start at 2, seems pretty good so far. Jump Start makes it harder to short hop, so if you want to emulate a Melee jump start speed, just increase it until it becomes Melee-hard to short hop ;)

I actually GPDP's reduction of the PW code and it worked. I don't know if it's because of the merger code, but Fox glitches when he grabs the ledge. It's the vacuum thing.

I had Almas' code (sh/ds/ff), Spunit's new code (alr/qsj/ts), Spunit's constants, and PT Stamina in that order, and I got a freeze, Should I put Almas code below Spunit's?

Yeah, well, something is causing my game to glitch. It's not the merger code. I tried yours, mookie, and it froze on me, too. I must've botched something somewhere.

Edit: Hmmm, I just noticed spunit's repost of almas's code is missing a line that is present in the second post of the thread under perfect codes. I might as well try changing the order of the codes around, as well.

Edit 2: Alright, it no longer freezes. Still, this codeset is broken. The sliding is annoying, and the ledges are completely insane. On FD, if I try to ledge jump or roll from the ledge, I'll immediately be launched outwards at light speed and die.

Something in the ALR and lagless ledges portion of the code is definitely broken.

Spunit's codes for shorthop aren't working correctly or something. Is the default not 1?

Spunit's codes for shorthop aren't working correctly or something. Is the default not 1?

Glitches on mine so far:
Death ledges
Shorthops almost as tall as full hops
I had those problems as well. My short hops were way too high.

So by increasing jump speed we don't need upward gravity anymore?
The code isn't to increase the speed of jumps on the way up, but how fast the jumps will execute. In other words, characters will do their jump animation faster. Once in the air, though, you will rise at the same speed as always.

IMO, upward gravity will be needed in the future once we get codes to increase the launch power of jumps, multiple jumps, and gravity-affected recoveries, so as to truly make jumps faster without sacrificing height.

OK, i tried an absurd value for short hops, .5, and it didn't alter the height. Spunits code isn't workin for that.

Hi everybody, I have a question. I like the idea of Brawl+, but I havent actually taken any steps to play it. I want to change that now. My question is this: How long would it take to do everything you need to do to get started B+, starting from scratch?

Took me no more than 10-15 mins since I had just taken codesets that were already made.

I have Wii Menu 3.4 so yeah there is a work around. And it won't even cause you any trouble.

The chances of bricking your Wii are slim to none. If your Wii goes down the hole chances are you were doing something wrong with it to begin with. And your TP saves can be kept if you save them onto your computer or onto an SD card that you're not gonna use or just do something with it that keeps it seperate from the actual Wii memory itself.
