That was cool. I didn't know Ally played MK.

Speaking of MK. DTL sometime before FF I want some MK exp. Flux if you are in state still I would like some from you as well please. That MU is harder than anything else.

Hey guys, I'm going to be holding a charity tournament to finish my community service hours for IB.
$5 venue/charity fee, $5 singles, $5 per team. So pretty much it's a regular tourney but instead of a venue fee the five bucks is going to an as of now undecided charity.

When should I hold this?

RIGHT NOW.

I'm up for playing smash today, as usual.

You know who else covers ZSS' bad matchups well? Diddy Snake Knight.

Double post at tony:

Yeah, except the one MU I really need covered is Falco, and Falco does alright against MK, whereas Marth ***** him. I want to **** that bird, cuz he's a stupid character in this game.

Tim, you wanna head over here (bring ur wii cords+barwl), and we can play here until someone hits us up/foreber?

Children's Hospital please. And I mean that in the most sincerest way.

If you're doing this, I'd say instead of dishing out money for the winners and what not, ask for sponsorships. A lot of places are willingly and will gladly sponsor something like this. In my opinion, if you're going to do a charity event, might as well go the whole nine yards, yeah? PM me for more info because I've done a lot of charity events in the past as well.

Zero Suit sucks.

And the charity tourney sounds like a wonderful idea. I want to go, but it's iffy if it's in Longmont. Iunno, a few lies, some manipulation, and a ride might change that.

what about tomorrow, cause its ben's last fest before #4
ill give you your stick back probably tomorrow tim

also yang, the infinite is REALLY easy now i dont get it, i spent like 15 minutes and i remember you telling me you have to delay the kicks and i think in that 15 minutes something just clicked and i found out the timing. but the problem is sometimes i wind up on the other side of the opponent's character wtf its pretty much the only thing stopping me from full life infinite right now cause id only able to do one rotation then wind up on the other guy's side.

I live ~ on the intersection of 285 and 470, if you have any idea where that is.

Just so you know how much you have to go out of your way. Thanks for the offer, you're a lifesaver.

And I want to teach Tony Marth stuff really badly. Makes me feel smart. Oh well, someday.

We do need another Marth.

And good, I'll do it for Children's hospital/ there seems like there's some hype. I'll be making posters and stuffs for around town.

Also I want to go play brawl, but we all know that isn't happening.

You'll eventually learn that OMFGAGGRO isn't what you're looking for when you play as Marth. Some good Marths can make it look like they're just getting off, but all they're doing is calculating distance and keeping you boxed out with various moves (usually dancing blade and fair, but there are others).

Yeah, I can explain more in person. If someone can host a fest this weekend, as some kind of FF preparation majigger, I'll definitely go. If Tony shows, I'll teach him what I know.

I main Snake, but I did a ton of studying with other characters, for secondary purposes, but mostly so I know what to expect. Didn't get too deep into MK or Wario, though, that usually causes problems...

Well like

Vs ZSS

Once he gets in, DB+grabs+fair allow him to put some serious pressure on her.

Keep in mind, I play games competitively, so when I'm sayin' OMFGAGGRO I dun mean mindlessly spamming moves.

Spacing was all that my Peach did in Melee. Once I become more comfortable with Doc/Jiggz/???, that's prolly what they'll specialize in, too.

It's kinda like this with me, for some reason.

Even if you're freakin' amazing at the game you're playing, if you try picking up a new character, you're back to square one. Which isn't true, I know. It's more like square 1.67, since you already should know the basics of spacing :/

ACTUALLY. I'm pretty sure most Colorado public schools have this Monday off for MLK Day, and I have Friday off for something my school's doing. So I have 4 days this week that I can potentially go and play with someone. So seriously, host something. Melee or Brawl, I'm down with both.

AND. AND. AND. I also have next Friday (22nd) off, for another thing that my school's faculty is apparently doing, and that happens to be the day before FF. Kansas and NM should both be rolling into town that day, so we NEED to hold a fest that day.

Oh also Tony, the only reason you could say Marth ***** Flaco is the grab bull**** at low percents and kinda mid percents...

Without that grab ****, it isn't that bad (note match 2) so learning that would be important.
dthrow x 11 (or more depending on decay) > tippered fsmash = 53% on Falco, and an edge guard

Marth is nasty against Falco, but it's not a counter or anything, it's pretty **** even if the Marth knows how to jab to cancel phantasm. Otherwise, Falco wins hard.

ferdi i would just watch some matches and see how they space the infinite. Also you should take a video of yourself doing the infinite.

Wait...I'm not understanding this. Marth is nasty against Falco but if the Marth can't jab his phantasm Falco ***** him?

Oh also, IIRC, the spike at the end is DIable after like the third throw. Doesn't matter though. Even after the first throw to spike Flaco can't recover if you edge hog right.

Marth has to get in, if Marth can't do so, he's spam-bait and ****ed, hard.

Truth.

The thing about Falco is, though, is he can GET OUT the instant someone gets in, if they don't have the right tools/know how to use them in order to keep him where he is.

GG has an awesome Marth and he'll show you guys at FF, and if none of you know how to play as Falco, I'll just do it and show you how the mu is supposed to be played (gay as ****).

jaja, I know firsthand about how gay Falco is. I lost to a Falco @ FRXII that did almost nothing but laser>illusion. I think he ended up winning the tournament, too, but I can't remember his name. Only person I remember is CO-18, cuz he got a win he didn't deserve vs me cuz I made the mistake of not re-checking rules an' stuff. He still woulda won the set, but I was madd salty.

Marth can put the pressure, and the pain. It's not like it's an instawin, but he seems like a pretty reliable answer, when played well.

Also, usmash beating that **** phantasm is nice.

Hey, I have a question:

Why don't Marth players ban FD, particularly vs Falco? I could see it being nice vs MK, but if Falco has a flat plane, he can zone that much easier with lasers. Is there something special I'm missing?

I always thought Marths banned Jungle Japes against Falcos.

I don't watch Brawl videos, so I don't know what marth players are banning or not banning, but I would venture to guess that they're banning Smashville simply because shorter platform = easier to chaingrab to edge for spike. Maybe?

Edit: Or what Meno said.
