Yep, all of us around here are mid 40s, stalking pre-teen girls and boys.

It's kind of how we roll.
Quoted for troof. I gotta get my 60 year old **** nuts deep into some 16 year olds.

too bad it will never come out, pretty sure they just did the tech demo to hype up the ps3. It would be sweet if it actually did come out though.
By this point, I wouldn't even consider buying it with how horribly they've milked the franchise from the dying cow. They could be working on so much more quality things, IMO.

Also Ferdi's God Know's link = hella drop off tight. But is only a 6 on my Gar ratings. :(

I doubt anyone would, but if anyone wants to smash (melee) this weekend, I'm down for whenever. I'm at the UCCS dorms in Colorado Springs (about a 1-1.5 hr drive from aurora/denver). Just give me a call or text, I should be here pretty much all weekend so if anyone is bored and has gas money to blow, here's my cell:

720 971 7109

Edit: It wouldn't just be me, there are a few up and coming smashers that I always play with down here. I know one person in the springs who is almost on my level and a few who are gettin close and just need to work on their technicals. We get sick of playing each other for hours per day so any new competition would be greatly appreciated lol.

WHO THE HELL KEEPS INVITING XYRO INTO THE COLORADO THREAD?!? He was waaaaaaaay cooler when he was TGM. Dash attack>Tipper too good.

Man, it would be dope if people could only join threads by invite. Oh, wait, they have that. SBR only, kids. D:<

So ive determined Ravin is trash and if he doesnt come to texas then it proves hes trash.

BEAT THAT!!!!!!!!!!
Come to the NVGA Supercon, and bring all your boyfriends. Bare minimum of $500 is going into the pot for Smash. Also, tell Sethlon I said his Roy sucks balls and the only way for him to prove otherwise is in ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOY DITTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS!

---

I'm still saving for Genesis/Devastation, but I'm not sure if I'll be going to either right now. **** has hit the fan hard for me, and I'm doing that whole "why do I do x?" bs that people do.

I copy-pasta my youtube response to God Knows nao:

They cut out the best parts. Vocalist is alright, but the cover itself is subpar. Like... I've seen better Youtube covers.

The album art is creepy as hell. Makes me think of the guy over here (the U.S.) that's turning himself into a cat through a series of surgical procedures. It kinda makes me judge this artist more than I probably should.

Are we gonna have melee there too? At least for the casual play?
I want to cut my teeth on some of the big local names. Get some proper practice, as it were.

Yes, we'll have at least casual play for melee, but I think we're working on getting side tourneys for it. Right tony?

Also, come to Supercon, Xyro. And bring mr. 3000 with you so we can finish our money match, unless he runs off crying about his girlfriend's cosplay again.

Ferdi, the ps3 tech demo wasn't even intended for ps3 in the first place, thats the end sequence in crisis core. The very end. Literally. Same graphics, just on psp.

3000 just told me yalls MM was 2/3 ddd vs ness for 20$ and he won the 1st match.

His gf was walking across the stage for some cosplay thing so he left the room to go see her do that then come back to finish the match.

when he did come back he said some guy told everybody NO MMs........so he didnt get to finish the mm with you.

mr.3000 also said that if you MUST finish the MM its fine with him but its foolish to try and fight a DDD with NESS.

this is just what he said.

Only 6? mmhmmmmmmm

- A remake of this caliber is not that simple. The only thing that SE can reuse is the game script, and a basic idea of where everything goes. Everything else (all the backgrounds, characters, monsters, bosses, cities, caves, forests, attack animations, spell animation, etc.) would need to be re done from scratch. None of the original code could be reused on the Playstation 3. How long would this task take? Kitase, the very man who would be running this, has estimated that he would need a team of 300 people and it would take 5 years to do this. This may sound like a long time (and it is), but no matter what any of us think, I am pretty sure Nomura is better at estimating the time than any of us are. Also realize that FFXII, which was made for the Playstation 2, took 5 years and a team of 200 people. Therefore the estimation for the PS3 no longer seems so farfetched. Also, Kitase has mentioned that if the game ever is remade, he wants Nomura to be on the team.. and since he is too busy right now anyway it adds to the support that the game isn’t being remade anytime soon.

- At an average yearly salary for Square-Enix employees being $30,000 a year, those 300 people working for 5 years on the remake would cost SE $45,000,000. That is simply to pay the development team (and it doesn’t even include Nomura). I can’t estimate how much the total costs would be (because I don’t know what everything they would need is and how much everything costs). However, the fact that it will cost more than $45,000,000 shows that it isn’t cheap.

Also, I randomly got around the question "why is playing Jeris' Luigi so **** hard?", and I came to the conclusion.

Luigi, is a character that does better off the stage, why you say? Because no matter where he is off the stage, there is a high chance that he'll simply misfire back onto the stage. Because of this, gimping Luigi is nearly impossible, in fact, I think only Sheik's needles can do it SAFELY, shine can work as well but is not as safe to throw out/sitiational. Same with like Doc's Bair and stuff. And his edgeguarding is exceptional, Fair trades with most anything and KOs, his wavedash is godlike so he can grab the ledge/ftilt you out. And if you try to sweetspot he can grab the ledge and Dair you, or just go out and Dair you.

Next, Luigi's moves have no cooldown and extremely high priority. This emphasizes the need for SPACING. Characters which I think provide adequate spacing includes only Link and Marth.

Now, if gimping off the stage and horizontal KO's are nearly impossible, that leaves us with vertical KOs and special KOs(rest, tipper somewhat, shine, etc). So to effectively beat Luigi, you need a character that can kill vertically as well as space so as not to trade hits but still gives decent damage.

This is in my opinion why Rafa does well against him, Link is able to completely outspace Luigi(aside from an occasional Ftilt from a wavedash when you're trying to recover). He can simply Uair/Utilt destroying Luigi's ****win aerial approach, he has projectiles to somewhat stop his ground approach and tack on damage, and he can kill vertically with Uair and Dair pretty easily. And if it comes to it, he can actually gimp Luigi with an UpB at the ledge sending him diagonally down.

The only character who has these requirements is Link. Fox and Pikachu has a strong vertical KO move but they're the perfect weight to get comboed from anything to anything and relies more on getting people off the ledge. Sheik does somewhat well because she's the only one that can gimp Luigi but she's also the perfect weight to get comboed, and her aerials have to trade with Luigi's in order to get damage in. Marth should theoretically do decent since he's the god of spacing, but his tipper Fsmashes ends up sending people diagonally up, giving Luigi more chances to recover, and Marth doesn't have any vertical KO moves aside from Utilt but that can only be done at high %. Everyone else will just get hit.

All this comes simply from the character, taking into account Jeris' and Rafa's skill levels makes this much more complex. And they're both good, so I don't really feel like going into any more.

tl;dr Luigi's broken

Understood, understood. Maybe he just doesn't remember that night quite right. Remind him that we secured a wii to finish the MM on, but Dugfinn and him said that it was off, he wasn't feeling it, and so on.

Oh, and if I remember right he had a Guilty Gear MM with one of our Slayers that he backed out on as well, but maybe that was another Texas ducker.

That game is too addictive. I spent hours when sleep deprived playing it. We couldn't get multiplayer to work though =(

i think your forgetting the ken combo only because Luigi is the easiest character to do it on
