Rat would be just as good with any character. Samus is just his medium of choice.

In any case, follow s2j's directions and Samus should be cheese.

i dont think anything is guaranteed from a throw? maybe up throw up air at a very specific percent?

you shouldn't nair when the samus is at low damage obv. but I don't know what to do...watch mango do it

almost nothing is guaranteed from falcon's throw on samus if they DI away perfectly

at low-ish percents you can uthrow and hope for uairs if they don't DI well

you can also dthrow and usually bait out a fair/uair as they land, then run after them and grab again

at high-ish percents, dthrow and jump at them, if they don't DI away perfectly then you can uair, if they try to double jump then you can follow them with a double jump uair

at the ledge I like to pummel samus a couple times then do a surprise fthrow, if they DI away really hard then they're in a bad position to recover

Juggleguy credentials: plays Duck a couple times every week, played Rat three times in tourney

This is super late.
edit: I hope more players from MI, MN, and OH come to IL tournaments. From MI: Shady, Taki, shaeden, tr3mor, and bigy (maybe kail) do some **** stuff.
All I know how to do in Smash is Tech things and beat samus D=.

nair is good vs samus, just dont do it wrong

you can dthrow nair her at low % if she DI's away, but not in a good comboish nair way, just dash sh nair and youll hit her twice as you go through, better than nothing

Does Sveet generally organize northern Illinois tournaments? I heard that Smashing Grounds is a monthly, and I want to run monthlies in Madison starting next school year (September), and I would like to not conflict so we both get more attendance.

I'm planning to hold the first one September 10.

I generally try to avoid other tournament dates, though i don't plan mine far in advance. Make your thread and what not, and ill do my best to remember not to make mine on 9/10
