You know what I really hate? People think this decides who the best character in the game is when this particular list is entirely dependent on how many people main each character and how well those mains do.

Even if this is true, you cannot deny the fact the huge gaps between Snake and Metaknight and the rest of the cast could at least clue you in how good of characters they are.


Certainly there are outliers in some characters (Luigi, less recently Zelda and the ICs), but relatively for the most part it's a decent way to determine which characters are good and bad ATM.

I'm really interested in how this will turn out eventually, but for now it needs to fill out more.

It looks like some characters are pretty underrepresented.

When we get more results, in my opinion:
Fox will be lower
Wario will be higher
Ganondorf will be lower
Toon Link will be much higher
Pikachu will be much higher

DDD's got a lot working for him. Bair is an absolutely fantastic move that works well with his multiple jumps, he's got a great recovery, his spacing is awesome with ftilt and dtilt, his disjointed hitbox with the hammer makes his smashes harder to punish, he's got a fantastic projectile, a great recovery, and just an all-around great character.

i guess i should have elaborated a little more. i also meant to say if people have figured a way to abuse predictable playstyles. like dedede's CG, bair, waddles and ftilt are really freaking good, thats all you need to win and in lots of tourney videos, the dedede's will abuse those tactics non stop. same applies to G&W users abusing the turtle as a nigh-unpunishable approach and snakes tilts. certain things like that seemed completely broken, and might be early on, but i hope people have found ways to combat those sorts of things, and any drop in thier placements is hope enough that brawl is becoming more balanced...

I think meta knight and snake are considered the "cool" characters a bit like marth in melee... this might change in the future.

when i checked other tier lists. falco was above metaknight. btw this tier list is kinda of a mess atm. fox should be higher
