My lifestyle sucks, well, kinda. Especially on vacations.

I've been waking up at 12:30/01:00 PM every day in the past week and I'm hating every minute of it. I feel like I've wasted half of the day. To add to that, I shower every "morning" and I take too **** long...make it another hour/40 minutes 'til I finally get out of the room and start my day. I eat, I turn on my laptop and get up to date on Facebook, MSN, SWF, whatever forum/site I visit. I feel like I have nothing to do. I play some Wii with friends (online) for an hour, maybe a little more. Then go back to MSN/Internet.

College is closed down because of the Swine Flu and it sucks. It may sound nerdy, but I like college because I get see my friends there. Sure, I can always visit them outside college but I don't have a drivers' license YET and getting there sucks balls. We still talk over MSN though.

I have an exam on the 24th and being the procastrinator person that I am, I will probably end up doing everything the last 3, 4 days before the exam.

I said I was gonna take driving lessons starting last Monday and I still haven't called the agency. It's Friday now...

After I eat dinner I'm either fooling around in the computer, watching TV, playing something...basically doing nothing productive.

When it's really "late", like 2:30 AM+, I just lay down on the bed and watch TV 'til I'm sleepy. I set up the alarm clock at 11:30 AM...

11:30 AM the next day, I turn off the alarm clock while I'm sleeping. RINSE AND REPEAT.

I swear to god I'm one of the biggest procastrinator on the entire planet.

I need to find myself a hobby.

I also eat like a pregnant woman at night.

At least you have a fairly decent sleep schedule. Yesterday I woke up at 6:00 PM, stayed up all night for no apparent reason, went to sleep at 1:00 PM today, woke up and made dinner at 7:00 PM, and it seems I'm in no hurry to fall asleep again tonight.

I feel ya, you pretty much described exactly how I am now too.

For the last few months (off and on) I've been waking up in the afternoon (today I woke at 5 pm) and staying up past the dawn of the next day. It sucks, there's not much to do at those times. It does feel like a waste. All I do is go on the internet and stuff, but there's nobody on there either....

The problem really is procrastination.

Like, I wanna get a car so I can go places and do stuff, cause I think that would solve at least some of it. But then I procrastinate getting a car (and getting enough money to get a car). putting off changing the lifestyle

yep... I feel ya.
I wonder if there's a name for this. Like... "extreme lazy lifestyle procrastination" or something lol

Argh, reading this is like I wrote it myself. >_<

The time I wake up ranges from 8AM - 2 PM which sucks so much.

I eat, watch some tv, and slowly drift downstairs to my ps2, Brawl or computer. Go back upstairs around 8 to eat and go back downstairs. I go back up at 10 to my room. Watch some tv or play my ds. 60% of the time, I'll make up some excuse to bust out the laptop and end up watching anime. I go to sleep at 3-4 AM. I hate my schedule.

I still need to apply to this college for the spring, but I haven't even bothered with that yet. Same thing with getting my license and a job. I figure I just wait another month until I turn 18 and do that stuff. I've never felt like so much of a Procastinator in my life (and i've done a lot of that during senior year).

At least I read a book today, so I feel like I accomplished something today . . .

At least when you guys go to bed at 4 AM, you can sleep in. I've gotta get up at 9 for work. This usually leads to me accidentally taking 5 hour naps, which further screws up my sleep schedule.

I got the same problem, thankfully, I'm leaving for New York in a week or two, to visit some relatives. Granted, we'll probably just watch TV until 3 am every night, and occasionally go out to dinner. But I get the general feeling, from previous experiences and this thread, that no one is really productive over the summer. At least I hope so. :/.

I have a feeling you guys would be a lot more productive if you had to pay for your own meals. If you guys really wanna change your lifestyle, I can't think of any other solution except to cut the umbilical cord (or whoever else is paying your living expenses). That'll get you moving real fast. Or so says one of two working adults in this thread.

Don't know how you guys get away with it. If I had delayed getting my license at sixteen, I'm pretty sure my parents would have stopped feeding me to make a point. I'm also considered one of the lazier people in my extended family, just so we're clear.

Maybe I'll stop there before this turns into a "When I was your age the communist party sent me to a farm to work for a year!" type of lecture.

Where do you go to college? I thought that was supposed to be done a couple months ago.

I'm 19 LOL. I know I have my responsabilities though. It's this driving thing I'm delaying I don't know why.

I woke up at 1:30 today. See?

Would you like me to set you up with my work out routine? You may need to buy some dumbbells and IM me on msn for further instructions(or research it yourself):

Monday: Back and biceps, "try" to run the mile or just run til you're beat. Do 4 sets of 30 sit ups/crunches, whatever.

Tuesday: Chest and triceps

Wednesday: Shoulders and traps, run, and the same sit ups routine

thursday: Make sure you do 50 push ups by the end of the day.

Friday: LIGHT LIGHT work out on all the muscles you already did(don't do this the first week), run, sit ups.

Saturday/sunday : resting.

Work-out routines really depend on the person, though. Working out isn't at the top of my priority list (for now)

Exactly me. Except that I'm 16.

This is exactly what I said out loud when I read the OP's post. xD.

I absolutely hate waking up so late. Since summer started, I had the exact same schedule.

I really and truly hate being lazy. I'm just glad I haven't been inside the entire time. There's been some really fun days at Adventure Island and the pool so far. Here's hoping you fix that lifestyle.

Get a job.
Economy sucks? Make a job, go do something that forces you to stick to a schedule routine.
You most definitly won't follow my advice though and keep going with this. To fix this lifestyle you should just call some friends, either have them come over or take the bus/train there. Maybe visit your parents for no reason, they'll love it. If everyone's away, go play WoW.

Hope the driving lessons are good. I'm starting mine in the Fall, so I'll probably be starting around the time that you finish.

I know what you mean, Dekuu. I have the same problem with procrastination, and now that I'm graduating, I just sit around all day.

Good luck with that. Maybe we need a life coach.

Easier said that done, you sound like my mom >_>
I've been applying and calling places for a year and almost two months now, and only TWO people have given me interviews. Neither even considered calling me back!

As for sleep schedules, am I the only one who wakes up in the MORNING? I wake up at 9 AM every weekday, 11 AM every weekend. I used to wake up at noon-one last summer ago, and I'm glad I'm not doing it now.
I also have had my license for two and something years, feels good. Problem is, all I need is that frikin job and I'll be square away.

I still go to bed between 11pm and 2am though XD

I know someone who is 27 and still can't drive yet. If public transportation sucks where you live, it can really get in the way of your life.

I wake up late too. But then, I've been on second shift for half a year. I used to work 4pm to 12:30am. Once in a while I'd have to do a 12:30am to 8:30am shift on weekends. My sleep cycle's worse than yours.

That's like saying "Start smoking".
Smoking is addictive and causes cancer.

Still probably better than getting addicted to WoW though. At least you get a thirty second buzz out of smoking.

I do. >_>

That's really the only productive thing I do all summer. I sleep at like 3 AM, wake up at 10-11 AM, hygiene stuff, morning jog, get on the computer, maybe go out, eat, sleep, do it all over again. Pretty boring way of living, but I plan to change it soon.

Dekuu, be happy. Things you can do at 3 PM > things you can do at 3 AM.
Yup yup yup. Unless you go to clubs or similiar things, but you don't. So yeah.

I don't go to clubs because I find them FILTHY and half of my friends only go to popular clubs (as in with LOTS of stupid people). I don't like those. I really hate them for being the only place they like to go out to; I guess I should take the initiative.

Wow...that's pretty bad. Have you tried finding out where your friends work (if your friends work) and applied at those places? It works. Trust me. I've only ever applied twice to places, both times where friends worked, and I've gotten the job both times with almost no questions asked. When it comes to getting a job (especially your first one), it really does come down more to who you know than what you can do.

Dressing up also helps. Nothing like a tux of course, but just nice. Something you'd wear to a wedding/funeral/church. That kind of stuff. It makes a nice first impression. Grooming yourself properly to make yourself look your best helps as well. I know those guidelines sound dumb and obvious, but a lot of people don't do them. Especially the dressing up. Also, never say anything stupid, never complain, and always try to make yourself come off as someone that's polite; or at least respectful. Even if you say next to nothing during the interview (which I know happens with me...I tend to be a little shy), make sure you're at least attentive. The people interviewing you will like you for it.

tl;dr: Use a friend to try and get a job, dress nice when putting in the app AND during the interview, and always be respectful. Do those three things and you generally have AT LEAST a 75% chance of getting a job. Even if they're not hiring, in some cases.

All of that is what I usually do. I don't have the best of clothes, but I do button shirts up, fix my usually shaggy hair (XD), look at the interviewer in the eye, and give them the best BS in the world of "looking for a job". -___-
Thanks though =D

A friend told me that she works at a library, a page job was open so she wrote some good stuff on my application and signed it before I turned it in. I'm hoping for that job, because I work in the mornings and all weekends I have off =)
